I've been following this London group for a few years and it is difficult to find another band that has their sound, just one of the reasons to check out their show. Could be a few tickets available at the door. Tonight at Hideout!

Bodega was pretty much my favorite act at SXSW this year. Great energy and fun stage show along with catchy lyrics, they had it all. I bought a ticket for tonight's show at Schuba's a couple month ago because I had already been listening to their older stuff.

And now we get new music, full of hooks and something that should be near the top of Indie-rock charts in 2024. If you don't live in Chicago be sure to catch this tour that runs to November 7th!

I gotta say this is pretty cool. AND sounds like a lot of Work & Hustle for Frank Turner and his pals!

For my friends visiting Austin next month (and I probably don't have to tell you) South by San Jose is one of the easiest day / evening parties to attend and open to all. Chicago area bands Friko and Neptune's Core are on the bill. See ya there!

I'll be at SXSW this year for the first time in a few, and pretty much living at the Day Parties. This one from Marshall looks like a good one!

I'm going to the Living Colour show at Bottom Lounge tonight and thought I'd check in on the band. Here is Pitchfork in 2022 taking a look at a significant album from the past, a 9 out of 10!

Any time the Afghan Whigs play is something to get excited about. And this tour they partner with the Church. Could be great!

It's just gonna be Deano tonight (no Jo) at Lizard's Liquid Lounge but should be a fun time. 7:30pm, all ya gotta do is hit the tip bucket.

This is pretty cool. And very nice addition to a really depressing stretch on Lincoln Ave. Hope it will lead to a few more cool businesses in the area.

Just in time for maybe a couple at Chicago's Metro (?) on August 22 Grian puts out a solo album. I've not been excited for much this Summer. Pitchfork had a mostly boring lineup and Lollapalooza is nothing like it once was. So I'll be seeing you for Fontaines D.C. a couple Tuesdays from now.

Good news for fans of Neptune's Core (that Indie band from Chicago consisting of 4 young women). New EP is on the way and they're even working on videos.
