Hi! I was wondering - to send a letter to the Hadestown cast, what address should be used? Also, is it appropriate to send a poster or pictures to be signed or to ask for a signed playbill? Thank you!

You’d send it to the Walter Kerr theatre! Hadestown is asking for BCEFA donations in exchange for signed Playbills, and you typically shouldn’t send things to be signed by the whole cast. You can ask lone actors to sign things, but I haven’t heard of anyone receiving anything back from anyone except André and some ensemble/swings (I received something back from T. Oliver)!

Does the amount of stamps you need to put on your SASE dependent on how far you live from the theater you’re sending fan mail to? I’ve never sent fan mail before and I’m scared of doing something wrong.

If you live in the US, the only thing that matters is how much it weighs! If I’m asking for a Playbill, I put three stamps on it bc I used to use two and got a couple back that required more stamps that the person sending it back gratefully added!

Honestly, I would probably send them each a letter and ask for separate playbills, just cause it’s a bit of a no-no to ask a person to get someone else’s signature. (Or if you want to have both on one, ask one of them for a signed Playbill and then when you receive it, send it to the other to get it signed—definitely more inconvenient, but I do know both of them respond, so it’s p likely you’ll get it back!)
