If anything, they're quite sensitive to the 'rest' of their self being so spread out and touching so many places.
"But I get what you mean. It's interesting the kind of connection between the moon and you being here at the same time."

That'd be crazy! And extremely limiting. He certainly wouldn't be nearly as happy as he was if he was stuck as an observer only, that sounded horrible. Horrible and boring, he was a god of love he had to walk among the mortals time to time!

"Thanks." For a moment, Atieno had mostly been watching Beedee settle on his perch and start transferring some of the data. But their attention was drawn back to Kar's tea set being set before them.
Once they poured themself a cup, they let the tea sit for a little bit more - now looking at the datapad to see if any information had started coming in yet.
"Oh wow, it's been that long huh? Yeah I can imagine the tea house shifting quite a bit since the last time that you've been there. "
"You got it!" She beamed, as she disappeared for a few minutes. Off to gather the tea service and grab the datapad. Beedee had made himself home in his perch, one could describe it as almost cat-like. The little droid stilled as the data was transferring.
Within a few moments, Kar returned with her kistchy tea set, and the datapad, leaving both on the table for Atieno to help themselves.
"I should visit the tea house in person sometime." Kar mused, her mug in her hand. "I haven't been back in-- huh-- ages."

Feeling her arms loop around them, Atieno casually holds Tater a little bit closer as well. They still enjoy just giving her those kisses and touches that inspires such sounds. It's truly the little things that can be a pleasant experience.
Each additional bit of affection earns more of the delighted noises, her ears drooping back in her bliss while she leans closer to Atieno. Her arms loop around them loosely in a relaxed embrace, just wanting to be closer to them.

"if you found out you only had 24 hours to live, what would you do?" Blue Two asked.
Atieno pauses for a moment.
"Oh that's.. an interesting case. I guess. I would write a long letter and make sure it gets sent to a bunch of different friends. Have a good meal. Maybe try and catch one more big performance while I'm around and then.. maybe find somewhere in nature to spend my last few moments alive. At least, that's what I would do if I was mortal. "

And seeing those oinks and honks only seems to encourage Atieno further. Little touches and smooches are a good excuse to stay close to Tater for a bit longer.
It's always nice seeing someone they are fond of feel so nice.
Delighted oinks and honks come from her as she leans into the affection, her little tail wiggling behind her as she smiles bright.
She is pleased.

Atieno looks at Levi for a few moments before giving a small nod.
"I guess I understand where that comes from. There's so many possibilities, so many paths not taken that you can't help but wonder about any other options out there. "
Still, there's a part of them that's a little worried.
"Nevertheless Levi, you can't let those what-ifs get in the way of what can and want to do at the moment. Because those what-ifs can genuinely consume you in ways.. I've seen really damage a lot of people."

Atieno hums a little bit. This is an interesting question for them because that's.. generally how they got between more distant areas in the first place.
"If I could be anywhere, honestly.. I miss the ruins of this one civilization I used to visit a few centuries ago. I'm not sure if any of it remains but the Molzo'ok area was quite a fascinating place. And I think anything that does remain has to be incredibly.. fascinating to see."

Sometimes a good storm came at just the wrong time. And while Atieno had been taking a leisurely walk, the sudden downpour had them running towards the nearest awning.
At least, they could watch the rain pour down for however long this was supposed to last.
Wasn't long before they saw someone else also..under the same shelter. They glanced at him and then back out at the rain, quiet before making a small statement.
"... Hope this doesn't last for too long. But one never knows how long these kinds of showers last for."

It's not hard to tell that he's absolutely confused. And that's enough for Atieno to be quite discouraged. Perhaps they should just.. leave and not take up any more of his time at this rate.
"I mean, it's incredibly difficult for people. So that's why it doesn't happen all that often. Because of .. my uh more permeable forms I guess, it's easier for me to go between universes like it's no big deal. I have heard of those being able to use obscure rituals to do so.. but it's very difficult that's definitely what I know about that."
Besides, Atieno isn't even sure how much they explain. If their basic understandings go unknown and confused DokDok, how much would they really even be able to help him.
"I.. I don't know if there's anything you could help me with. I just wanted to see a little more of what this place was like."
"I- I see...!" Feigned enthusiasm once again fails to hide his confusion. Dark places, dark matter... none of that sticks in the slightest. Doesn't even have a toehold. But he'd rather not be rude.
"Is it... particularly difficult? The travel? I've never seen any... places that allow for that sort of thing, to my knowledge. Does it not require some sort of ritual?" There were rumors that Astathis had found such a place, actually, now that he thinks about it. Still hard to wrap his head around the concept, but at least this information tracks with what he already knows to be true.
But even if he could figure the actual travel part out, how would he ever find all of them? Seven cousins, stranded most likely in seven different fragments of the multiverse... They could be anywhere. They could be nowhere...
"...I apologize, I am asking you to explain quite a bit, and we've only just met. I believe I can keep the rest of my curiosity to myself, for now." He could ask if they've seen his family anywhere, but what if the answer was 'no'? Could he handle his first sign of hope answering him with disappointment and ambiguity? If they haven't seen them, then has anyone? "Ah- is there anything I could help you with? It is my obligation, after all."

"Ah. Yeah, I guess partners is what mortals might call us." It might not be that important but the fact that Svandur asked about it anyway was.. pretty nice. It was very clear the bond that was shared between such figures but confirmation never seemed to hurt in Atieno's eyes.
In the meantime, they marveled over the foliage that they were leading Svandur through. The shapes, the colors, some of the sounds even all made for such a fascinating experience.
"The shifts over time would have been amazing for you to see.." but before they could say anything further Atieno paused - looking at Svandur when he says that nothing measures up to them.
It's enough for Atieno to gaze at him with a fondness, squeezing his hand so slightly as a measure of affection. "You really do know how to make me feel.. so wonderful with your opinions." They couldn't help even but lean in giving him a lingering kiss on the cheek in response.
"I haven't wanted to sleep since you took my hand, and became my... Partner? Is that what mortal-kind calls it?" Dismissing the proper terminology, as if the answer wasn't all that important, since both of them knew their relationship, Svandur seemed to chuckle ever-so-softly, when Atieno teased him.
Overgrown and oversized foliage would surround his still-impressive frame, as his gaze darted from the beauty of it all, to the enigmatic presence and sight of Ati.
"If only I could have seen the changes throughout time, as you have. Actually..." He paused for a moment; squinting off into the distance, as if pondering something. "A thought for later, perhaps. Though, if you must ask for my thoughts, nothing quite measures up to how breathtaking you seem to be, every moment I lay eyes on you." Though, he didn't wish to downplay the beauty of the things they wished to show him.

It's taking so much within Atieno not to sarcastically roll their eyes in response to Akriel's question. They figure it's rhetorical .. but if she's going to ask, might as well answer.
"I mean if you want something done in a specific way that suits your goals and purposes, it's often best to take care of things yourself. Leaving it in the hands of others may lead to incorporation of other factors and approaches that you don't care for. "

Atieno shrugs. "Mostly the maintenance of what there is until..." Until it's time for it to be unraveled is what goes unsaid by them.
" I don't try to throw my fighting capacity around if I don't have to. Otherwise, it's self-defense and only in the case of emergencies around other people. "
And maybe occasionally just for the hell of it, but those incidents they try not to speak about too much.

desire: What's one thing your OC wants more than anything in the world? Are they open with that desire? Why or why not? What would they do to fulfill it?
I think Atieno likes the idea of genuinely being vulnerable and open with those that can see them - really see who they are and what that means for them to be who and what they are. And still have that room for vulnerability.
They are not particularly open with that desire because it's taken some time for them to recognize that that is genuinely something they had been longing for. They didn't think it was an option for them given their nature, it's still something they have heavy doubts about actually being accessible.
They might get a little bit of this here and there. But they can't really expect the whole breathe with someone.
I suppose this is why they still like getting to know certain individuals over time, in pursuit of the idea of someone being able to register with their complications and oddities, if only for a little while in some capacity.

hate: What does your OC hate? Why? How do they act towards the object of their hatred?
Atieno hates, hates hates the notion of being controlled or used towards other people's purposes. As related to a previous ask, it's one of the things that will very much set them off in a very personal way because of the memories they have towards multiple attempts of that happening.
And it seems like every time someone tries it, Atieno gets even more pissed off in response.
So they really do make every effort to break out any holds. Or even if it hasn't gotten to that point, they are very very wary of anyone who is trying to convince them of a specific cause, especially if they are insistent and not respecting of boundaries.
If someone insists on not listening as to why they could not and should not be used for a given purpose not of their origins, then .. they will have to cut them off or make it very clear that they will not tolerate such efforts. Cutting words, a powerful scare can be helpful in some places. But sometimes.. it takes more.
