things people have done to help me during a psychoses episode

i was on the buss and i hallucinated bugs crawling all over my hands, so my friend pulled my hoodie sleeves over them with permission and held my hands through the sleeves to "keep them off". they used the logic you would in a real bug situation.

i went nonverbal in a bad one in class, so my friend wrote me a note to give to the nurse since the teacher wouldn't let her go with me.

i often am very paranoid about the delusion that meat is actually rotten, so my dad will sometimes eat a bit of it before me

instead of telling me my delusions arent real, they help me through it using logic like it was real. they dont tell me that nothings going to hurt me in my sleep, they stay with me to keep me safe. then when it passes i can realize its not real

1. Progesterone: not for everyone, but for many people it may increase sex drive and WILL make your boobs bigger. Also effects mood in ways that many find positive (but some find negative). Most doctors won’t prescribe this to you unless you ask. Most trans girls I know swear by it.

2. Injectible estrogen: is more effective than pill or patch form. Get on it if you can bear needles bc you will see more effects more quickly.

3. Estradiol Cypionate: There is currently a shortage of injectible estradiol valerate. There is no shortage of estradiol cypionate. Functionally they do the same shit.

4. Bicalutamide: This is an anti-androgen that has almost none of the side-effects of spironolactone or finasteride. The girls I know who are on it are evangelical about it.

everything of value on this platform was built by trans women. every joke, every meme, the content, poetry, erotica, stories, paintings, projects, communities, music. i'm tme, but trans women were still the first people to reach out to me and induct me into any sort of community. in every space i have been on in here, artistic, theoretical, i have seen trans women doing incredible things, not just in the work they produce but also in the connections which they foster and the communities they facilitate. this site has used trans women's thoughts and feelings and talents and lives to build out its culture and traffic and yet treats them as utterly disposable, extracts their creativity and their work and then fucking cannibalizes them. this isn't a process unique to the Queerest Place on the Internet, it crops up over and over in corporate entities and grassroots spaces alike -- trans women, and especially trans sex workers, are leaned on and their labor exploited to form the basis for an entity that will nevertheless try to crush them under its heel at the first opportunity. i'm so fucking sick of seeing my friends and people i care about give everything and then be made to lose everything else. everyone i know who was deactivated last night was so talented and so fucking kind, and they shouldn't HAVE to be, no woman should -- but for trans women it's not enough, it never is, there is no amount of goodness which stops transfems from being exploited and then tossed into the grinding gears of moloch over and over and over again. when does it fucking end? when do we stop bleeding trans women dry and then discarding them on a whim?
