It's heartwarming to know that one of my first fics in this fandom touched someone to this extent! Everyone, if you're looking for some top tier angst, definitely go check out Tathrin's AU, it's too good to miss out!
How about Q48 for the fanfic questions?
What was the last fanfic you read, and would you recommend it?
Oh! You have excellent timing with this question, because I just re-read The Loyalty of a Dwarf by @the-dwelf-ao3 as my bedtime-read last night, and it is exquisite. I recommend it with gleeful enthusiasm. The story is short, but ohhhh boy does it deliver. It's the kind of story that will curl up in your head afterwards and just sit there simmering, beautiful and terrible and enthralling.
(In fact, this fic and the permanent imprint it made upon my brain bears a huge part of the responsibility for the genesis of my "Gimli Dark Lord of Erebor AU," so if you've been enjoying that at all you should definitely go read this one.)
Thank you so much for asking, I am delighted to get to recommend such a magnificent story to more people!

Don’t have ten? No problem! Share one you love.
(I feel almost weird doing this because I’ve written so little fanfic in so long, but here goes nothing anyway!)
1. When Qui-Gon asks him the question, only days after they have returned from Pijal, he sounds more tentative than Obi-Wan could have imagined, almost as uncertain as when he breached the subject of visions for the first time. (LIKE I SAID there may be some sw brainrot happening OKAY)
2. On their drive back to their nearest safe house, no one said a word. (x)
3. The knock on the temple door comes in the evening. (x)
4. The Oak-Garcia family was the last to leave the Wilsons’ house, that first night back. (x)
5. Once he knows about Henry, it’s impossible to stop seeing it. (x - and MAN am I already seeing the pattern of one-sentence/paragraph opening lines that wait for the following paragraphs to contextualize, HOO boy)
6. “Legolas.” (x - heh - love opening with just a name)
7. The walls were too thin. (x)
8. A thousand times, Elizabeth has imagined their wedding night. (x)
9. The tomb of the kings was buried deep within the Mountain. (x)
10. “What are you doing?” (x)
This was a bit of an exercise in humility! All of these lines sound exactly the same to me, haha. Also this spans exactly a year’s worth of fic; I don’t think I’ve written this little since before I first discovered fanfic existed. :(
Tagging @katajainen, @the-dwelf-ao3, @deheerkonijn, @unnamedelement, @enide-s-dear, and anyone else who wants to do this!

(impromptu poem that i hotter down as it came to me)
[Image ID: a poem written on a piece of paper in a small notebook. The text is in all lowercase and says: "truly / i do not know / call me this, they say, this is that / but the endless confusion of / this ever-present love / i cannot help but / cry / no screams / no shouts / a cry / like a call into the night / call me yours, he says". /End ID]
Ahhhhhhhh ok first of all this poem is absolutely beautiful, I just love it! And the fact that's it's inspired by a fic I wrote- I feel so blessed, really! Thank you so so much for sharing this poem, it really made my day ♥️ You're amazing 😍
