This year I reconnected with an old flame of mine, One Piece, and I was finally inspired to get off my ass and do some art. So here's Gecko Moria! This was basically three months in the making, without a doubt the hardest I worked on...anything.

Frexspar the Godly may not have had a big role to play in Wicked’s stage adaptation, but he was ever present in the book. A key character in Elphaba’s story, I couldn’t just leave him behind. I had a lot of fun with his wardrobe.

I had lot of trouble with the scarecrow. Because I had to make him look like Fiyero, but I didn’t want the design to look too human like, that would ruin the fun of the scarecrow, but I didn’t want to make him too silly looking as it would diminish how serious he is on Wicked.

So this is my Pokemon team. Sure, they’re not the strongest, but they’re my favorite Pokemon, and that’s what matters. I don’t even picture myself fighting with them, I would just travel with them having fun and stuff. I’ve loved these guys ever since I was a kid. Except for Chandelure and Mimikyu of course, they are pretty recent.

I know some of them sound like bad things, but I love them all to the moon and back, and I feel those are core sides of who I am as a person today. Other Pokemon who have been in my team at one point or another are Crobat, Xatu, Octillery, Sableye, Wobbuffet, Klefki, Duskull, Haunter, and Cofagrigus.

Pinstripe was really hard to get right honestly. I found myself relying on Charles Zembilla’s concept art for his body. In the end I was pleased with the results even though the face proved hard to get just right, it went through several transformations.

Doctor N. Gin has always been one of my favorite Crash Bandicoot characters, I used to have his action figure. It kinda broke, multiple times in fact. But I still keep him on my shelf, one arm and a leg missing. So I’d say it stays true to his character.

I was immensely glad to get to draw him, he was very fun to do indeed, specially the coloring.

The generals of Lord Stayne’s army. The Bear & the Fox are a very dangerous duo, but that doesn’t mean that they are easily dealt with separately. The Bear is very strong albeit slow, while the Fox is very fast and agile, making him a very skilled assassin. They are based on the fairytale, in which they fight against the birds of the forest.
