After a strange morning full of tension, Marjorie is found dead by Miss Rose. Lady Emily, Sir Samuel, Libby, Major Springer, Hub and Miss Rose all had a motive. Master Oliver was present during the events but is an innocent witness. Anna remained at University while Lord Henry was out of town on business.

Marjorie Warbucks was murdered by Lady Emily Grey-Tabby, who shot her in the Solarium with the Shotgun. Her deep-rooted grudge began when Marjorie taunted her about being an orphan. It worsened in college when Marjorie started a series of backstabbing of stealing her boyfriends, and gossiping to their mutual sorority sisters. The final straw was her attempt to seduce Sir Samuel into infidelity in which Emily overheard. Ensuring the household was nearly empty with everyone out of the way, Lady Emily followed her from the Study, where she had the Shotgun in her possession, and into the Solarium. After blasting her away to kingdom come, Emily quickly returned the firearm to the Study, wiping down her fingerprints and locking it away.

Professor Caroline Hobart ~ The Victim

A lecturer at the University where Hub and Anna attends

She is Anna’s academic advisor and the Department Head of Psychiatry; her roster includes teaching a honors course of which Hub is waitlisted for

Invited to dinner at the household, she is a less than gracious guest and by the end of her stay, she is murdered

The body is found by Hub.

Lord Henry, the Countess, Lady Grey-Tabby, Major Springer, Hub and Anna all had a motive. Miss Rose and Master Ollie were present but are innocent witnesses. Sir Samuel never met the victim and was out of town during the events.

The murder was committed by Hub with the Poison in the Dining Room. Hungover and outraged at the threat of disgrace to his family name, he decided to poison her morning coffee while most of the family were at Church. The giveaway was his fingerprints on the bottle, along with no alibi, and leaving the bottle on the sideboard instead of returning it to the Kitchen.
