This is exactly the reason why I must depart from Tumblr, once again. I deeply appreciate everyone here being politically radical and wanting to bring awareness.
However, it has gotten to the point where every time I log onto Tumblr, I am told to feel guilty for existing.
I am striving every day to expand my views and become a more self-aware person. I have been reading White Fragility, taking care to absorb every concept I learn. I already know that I have white privilege, and straight/cis privilege. I know that I am very, VERY fortunate to be where I am.
I have been doing everything I can to learn how to be more open-minded and respectful, in order to become more understanding of other people’s perspectives, experiences, and cultures.
I have been diagnosed with depression this past year, and I am fighting it the best I can so I can become brave enough to actively fight against oppression.
However, the constant shaming that I receive from this website has had a negative affect on my mental health.
Shaming others for something they cannot control, such as race, culture, class, age, sexuality, or gender, is deconstructive and unproductive.
Educating others who are willing to listen is productive.
I hope that whoever is reading this understands that even though you do not have the systemic advantage, you can still hurt others through prejudice.
I also hope you all lead beautiful, loving lives full of clarity and peace. Best wishes.

Does anyone else have this dilema? The term “furry” is so ambiguous...
I grew up reading Warrior Cats and then obsessed over FNAF/Undertale in my early high school years, AND made OCs that were all wolves. So, naturally, my friends began to think I’m a furry, but I don’t consider myself one? Like??? I talk like a human? And I don’t have a fursona?

Have some cuteness! These are original creatures called Clyples! They are mobile plants who get their energy from munching on trash on the ground, and by sleeping in the sunlight with their wings spread. They have been domesticated to clean up in spaceships, since they eat basically anything. They love humanoid companionship!
