Okay but look at this:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s very creepy, given how similar their expressions are. Did Kanou raise Furuta or does Furuta idolise his sensei a lot?

OH MY GOD, it's amazing! bless you
Tumblr media
Okay, miss tg-nope-squid, if this sounds familiar to you it’s because I ‘stole’ some of those phrases you used in a post -which I reblogged, of course-, in which you were mocking Shuu and I couldn’t resist the temptation to draw your sense of humor. Hope you don’t mind I keep my criminal behavior in the future. LOL.

If Tsukiyama and Furuta had a child, it would be Hisoka. If Arima and Furuta had a child, it would be Sakamoto. Damn it, Furuta, how many children do you have?

Is this just me, or Mutsuki was interrogated by a guy that was similar to Tokage, the man who tortured Yamori?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Somehow both of them have very similar appearance traits, even if Tokage’s face changed after Yamori’s revenge, and also Tokage was asking Sasaki about Mutsuki back in Rose Arc, describing Tooru as a problematic kid. If it truly is Tokage, then I wonder what did the further interrogation look like, knowing his sadistic tendencies.

Honestly, it feels so hilarious that Tsukiyama felt for Kaneki’s scent and delicious meat and was so obsessed about him being the first half-ghoul he had ever enocuntered
Tumblr media
While he literally had this fucking sidekick in Ghoul Restaurant right under his nose and probably didn’t give two shits about him.

Furuta's attitude towards life, living and dead ones – meta
(warning: no pics, because i’m lazy) Lately I've been wondering about these particular lines in Furuta's birthday poem (full translation by @makyun):
“[...] Never in my life have I ever felt grateful for being born.
But for you people, how are you still celebrating your life despite how hopelessly stupid or ugly you are?
I am genuinely impressed.
Doesn’t it make you want to die? If you die, you can get cured you know. (This is true.)[...]”
I don't think he meant only people by calling them hopelessly stupid or ugly. It may mean that Furuta views life in general as boring, hopeless and ugly,  That can be one of the reasons why he is one of the Jokers in Trump Cards, "The Comedy King" - he's trying to add some colours to the world in his own twisted way. About the part with being cured - in Sunlit Garden, children, I believe, are wean off sentimentality and human life's value. They rarely have friends, because they have been communing with death for a long time and it would be really pointless for them. (hence why Arima’s friendship with Fura is great.)
I think Furuta believes that death cures (saves) person (the soul) from grey, dull and depressing life (being grounded in the body). Once someone dies, their body stops being a vessel for their soul.
In some way this may explain the weird difference in attitude towards Kijima, when he puts a blanket on him (while Kijima was sleeping, so he didn’t have to pretend), yet steps on his body after his death. Furuta doesn't regard the body as the person, because the person is dead and the body is empty, thus is just an annoying obstacle.
It proclaims his lack of sentimentality, because a normal living person connects the body to its owner, the body to mutual memories with that person (e.g. Urie by wanting to bring Shirazu's body back. Why would he do that? Shirazu's dead, it's no use for him anyway. He would be better as a subject of Kanou's experiments, burying him would be a waste of unusual Quinx's body). That also explains using Shiono to prepare a dinner for Eto. His death was unavoidable after Eto came out in public, because it revealed that he commited a capital offense by collaborating with a ghoul (even if she didn't mean it, and I really doubt she did, judging by her reaction), and it was convenient for Furuta to use his meat as a power boost for Eto and as a taunt (I also doubt it was firstly planned as a revenge for daddy insulting. If I recall correctly, Eto was arrested in November, and current events are set one month later. Even if Shiono had his trial, Furuta still needed to preserve his body for some time. Besides it's not like he could just randomly go out and kill a civillian connected to the first widely known ghoul-human hybrid since a long time, at least not without concequences. I think if Eto hadn't pissed him off, he just wouldn't tell her that this meat is from Shiono, “which would be nice”.). It was also an absolutely mean and disgusting way to punish Eto, so he killed two birds with one stone, and would say it's her fault, just like he blamed Matsumae for killing Okahira. But it isn't only Shirazu and Shiono's case – also luring Ami to Ghoul's Restaurant to fulfill their requirements for joining, killing 40 people every week (probably not civilians (prisoners, mental asylum patients?), because 40 missing civilians every week is duh, but it's still a huge number) and using Okahira as a meat shield has shown that for Furuta people are meant to die, so it doesn't matter how they will die, if it can bring him any use and laugh. Living people are just measures for fulfilling goals and emotions, relationships and sentiments are something ridiculous.
People find this way of thinking as immoral. Emotional attachement and the moral distinction of what is right and what is wrong, and not doing the wrong things for purpose, belong to the angles, from which we perceive a man as human, since in our minds human means good. However we all know that in Ishida's manga no one is evil just because. Something in the Garden taught him, and not only him, that. Maybe the mass deaths he had encountered, the death of someone important to him, maybe Vs agents used bodies of dead children for some purpose?
Yet V's default Garden treatment could not be the only background of this. Looking at the example of Arima and Ihei makes me think that they were raised in different circumstances (by „different” I absolutely don't mean better or worse, since we don't know anything about their and Furuta's Garden background) or even different part/project of the Garden. They at least once tried to start friendly relationships with other people – like Arima did with Fura and Minami, him feeling sorry for Sasaki, and Ihei being happy to meet Quinx. This is really contrary to Furuta's behaviour, I don't have to explain why. I can't really say anything about Shao, since  we don’t know much about her, I can just assume that she's similar to Ihei, judging by vol. 6′s omake. But there is one person known to be from the Garden, from the same part as Furuta, which displayed similar traits and it was Rize. Yet she managed to grasp for some freedom, had the care and protection of her stepfather Shachi and was even shown to gain some character development. Nimura lacked these things, and we can all see how differently it went. Both of them share some traumatical experience in childhood which shaped them into the people they became, with the lack of emotional attachement and disregard for a man's life. I am not a psychologist, so I don't know if this meta is even correct or not, to say nothing of it being a spot on.
However I can easily assure that Rize, with (probably) similar childhood experience to Furuta managed to enjoy her life. And I think that she was indeed happy with this freedom she had gained, although it didn’t last that long. Nimura was not given this chance, nor any other chance to somehow enjoy life than making it into a twisted bloody comedy. It doesn't matter if it's wrong, since he doesn't believe in any redemption except death. He cannot understand, why would people celebrate being alive, because he surely doesn’t.
_____
I hope you liked this meta, or I'd rather say, ramblings. I'm sorry for my not-so-good English but I think I managed to properly speak my mind and ideas. If I made any mistakes, don't hesitate to correct me and feel free to ask any questions.
