Victoria and Heavy Character Analysis
Heavy and Victoria are somewhat of an enigma to me. Their characters, at face value, seem very simple, but surely there has to be more complexity to it. Both are well written and seem to serve some form of comic relief for the first season of the show. We see how they interact with the other characters when in good moods or their ‘defualt/regular’ mood. However, unlike with Dee and Glam we don't get any backstory, angst, conflict, or depth to their characters in season one. I truly hope that this will be expanded on in season 2 as I feel as if these characters should (and probably do) serve a deeper more in depth purpose to this story. I also find that Glam in some ways enables Vicky’s antics. Such as in the escape room episode! Instead of being honest and letting Dee tell Vicky and Heavy that they did the quest incorrectly and committed a few crimes in the process, Glam stops Dee. This allows Victoria to believe that her actions are okay, even if it was in a situation in which they were solving an escape room and needed to come up with a way out. This raises the question, what else does Glam let Vicky believe is correct or the right way of doing things? Is he enabling her destructive behaviors? I would love to see more developement for both Vicky’s and Heavy’s characters in season 2. I want to learn about Victoria’s past and learn what Heavy struggles with. I suppose I can somewhat see that the writers are trying to contrast the stark difference of the past and struggling of Dee and Glam compared to the happy go lucky (with anger issues) character type that is Vicky and Heavy. It is a nice contrast but I believe that currently, Vicky and Heavy lack depth to their characters. I hope that this changes in season 2 and we get more than just Glam and Dee’s issues.

Dee Character Analysis
Dee is a strongly written character. One of which I can really relate to, especially in regards to his relationship with his father, wanting to impress his father and feeling as if he is failing because he doesn’t excel at what his father excels at. And it’s somewhat infuriating to watch because I know so many people watching this show have been in that place of feeling like a failure because we do not excel at something that others around us do. I feel like Dee could be so amazing at other things but I know from experience that the experience that he had with his father in episode 7 could potentially (if not already has) send him spiraling into a feeling of inadequacy. In which he wouldn’t want to try anything new because what’s the point if he is just going to fail (especially fail in the eyes of his father). Dee defiantly looks up to his father, almost to the point where it is dangerous to his psyche. Dee looks up to his father not only because he is his father but as an intellectual better. Dee, being smarter than almost everyone his age is hardly ever bested intellectually and I doubt has to use much brain power when doing the tasks that others his age find difficult. However, with his father, Dee is bested, Dee actively has to work his brain to attempt to best or get something past his father. As we saw in episode 4 in which the family played poker, Dee had attempted to get past his father’s security system but had been caught. However, instead of a regular father-to-son conversation about breaking the rules (which I’m sure Glam KNEW it was Dee who had done these things), there was a cat and mouse game of each one of them trying to catch the other in an intellectual pitfall. I think in this aspect Glam struggles with parenting, and I think will continue to struggle to parent Dee after what happened in episode 7. I feel as if Dee already had a distrust of his father before this incident, but now, I think this issue will be exasperated and lead to some interesting situations between the father and son during season 2.
