Don't you love that for once you plan your chapters in advance, but when you go to write it you brain doesn't get the memo and does a tokyo drift into the oncoming traffic?

There are two approaches to things, as I have realised with my family's dogs. My mum's dog will carefully solve a puzzle toy. My dog will toss that across the room like it owed him money.

My struggle today, is having to write an absolutely scumbag of a character as likable and approachable, because no one knows what they've done yet. I've had to keep checking myself from actively hating and writing this character like the piece of crap he is, but allowing myself to heave and rewrite them properly.

Wow after months of no inspiration, I have spent 24 hours madly writing and planning out the chapters for a book I am writing.

When you have motivation to do art for an original book you want to write, but struggle to put words on the page... whomp whomp

They are already selling data to midjourney, and it's very likely your work is already being used to train their models because you have to OPT OUT of this, not opt in. Very scummy of them to roll this out unannounced.

What colour are the backs of abalone?

Funniest thing happened today. My dad, his friend and I went free diving for paua (abalone), and we came back to the boat and had a discussion. We were just commenting on the dive, how clear the water was and how calm it was, when we got into an argument about how we find paua. He said it was really easy to find, them being blue/green for him and he can see them easily because of that. I said, no, they're freaking pink, what on earth was he talking about? We then waited, fuming until my dad's friend came back from his dive, and asked him, what colour was the back of paua?

He said, "idiots, they're camouflaged".

And that is how my dad and I came to the realization that we were both colourblind.
