Whenever I see someone say Hannibal wanted Will pregnant I lose a brain cell because LOOK he might’ve like the c section scar is interesting symbolism but listen.
I think Hannibal was horrifically upset that he couldn’t carry wills baby. Let me explain myself:
So he wants to baby trap will. That’s cannon. He wants to have a child with will. But here’s where we must ask ; why? Is it to have a little mini him running around? NOPE. Is it too feel powerful or make will subservient too him? NOPE.
Home boy Hannibal Lecter wants a baby to make Will feel like he has to stay for the kids. He wants to make Will feel like no matter where he goes he’ll still need to visit on the weekends.
Hannibal wants to make Will feel like he has to stay.
Here’s why this is important: if Hannibal got will pregnant and Will had his baby Will could just leave. He could just be like well the baby is mine and I hate you and I’m leaving it’ll be better for them anyway. But if HANNIBAL has WILL’S baby?!? Oh boy now Wills in for it.
He owes Hannibal now. He could never leave his child it would be abandoning something small and weak. And Hannibal could guilt him by being like I did all this for you and for us you can’t leave me now you have to stay for the kids.
And in Hannibal’s mind this would work perfectly.
I think that Hannibal is desperately upset that Will can procreate with people that aren’t him and I think he’s desperately upset that he can’t give Will a child.

Yes I’m sick. It’s called being csa ed. And traumatized. My therapist says it’s safer to fantasies about fiction than to re play flash backs of my own assault. It’s better for my mind to have a crush on a fictional character rather than my abusive father. I still go to therapy every week and I am fully medicated. I will never be able to live on my own outside of my family because I am to mentally ill to live by myself. I have at peace with these things, and I’m at peace with my brain being traumatized.
