5. Episode plot you wish they had handled differently?
i mean there are quite a few obvious answers for episode plots that are just straight up offensive (Code of Honor, Retrospect, Profit and Lace, etc) but tbh with those i think the only way to fix them is to scrap them entirely.
so for some episodes that i think had potential and was just drastically mishandled – Human Error which has some great elements with Seven struggling with her identity and genuinely made me cry the first time i watched it because it was one of the first times i felt like i was seeing my experience with autism & social difficulties represented in any media but then unfortunately it spirals into a Bad Romance with some pretty big ethical questions around consent that are simply never addressed or even acknowledged as issues.
also Faces (and a lot of other B'Elanna episodes) because some of it is a great first major outing for her character and beginning to address her trauma but then it just gets really bioessentialist about Star Trek species which as a representation for actual real world race is... not great. (Star Trek's bioessentialism is a Recurring Issue i have in most of the shows especially with Klingons and Vulcans)
15. Top 3 favorite alien crewmembers?
ooh, a lot of my favorite characters are alien (or have alien elements) so i'll go with the 3 that i think do the best job of being interesting alien characters which would be: Saru, Odo, and Dax.
35. A minor character you wish had become a main character?
i already answered Tal Celes here but as for another character... there are so many from ds9 but let's go with Nog. i'm always so happy when he shows up in an episode and he provides such a unique perspective on Starfleet/the Federation as an outsider who was constantly told to keep away by his family/culture but chose a better future for himself regardless. there's so much potential in that and i wish he got more attention!

The Visitor 100% of the time. i also definitely cried the first times i finished Voyager, tng, and ds9.
35. A minor character you wish had become a main character?
ooh, take your pick from ds9 honestly but i'll go for a lesser known character with Tal Celes from Voyager. i eternally wish that the Voyager crew was more fleshed out and the small bits with Tal Celes that we see with her struggling with anxiety and worried over not being competent enough was lovely and it would be great to have a main character who isn't as traditionally talented as most officers. plus that heart to heart scene with Janeway in Good Shepard is one of my favorite underrated scenes in the show.
20. Which piece of technology do you wish existed in reality?
as someone who loves visiting different places but hates the physical process of traveling in cars and planes, selfishly i'd say transporters but i'm not sure i want to risk all the transporter accidents so i'll go with replicators which if actually used (and not just owned by billionaires) would solve at least some of the world's major crises.

Subspace Rhapsody in ds9. i love musical episodes and ds9 already had like... half a musical episode with His Way and i would have loved to see the whole cast get to join in. (and to see Avery Brooks sing again!!)
25. Favorite villain(s)?
i mean Gul Dukat and Kai Winn are far and away the best villains of the franchise. i can't think of other antagonists that sticks out so well as characters and not just concepts or plot devices. Dukat and Winn are written so well because they're given small moments when they are redeemed but either it's almost entirely a front for hiding something more insidious (in the case of Dukat) or those redeemable & tragic moments still don't make up for other awful actions and good actions made from selfish places (Winn)

16. If you could steal the basic plot of an episode for one show and apply to another which would you choose?
oh so many... for something i don't think i've talked about – i would love for Voyager to do an episode like The Drumhead involving both courtroom drama and political maneuvering. i think Janeway having to contend with someone else coming onto her ship and investigating her crew would put her in a new kind of position from her usual role on Voyager and she would be far less patient than Picard. it would also make for some interesting dynamics with the Maquis vs Starfleet crew in a later season.
41. Which episodes creeped out/scared you the most?
despite having a pretty weak stomach for scary stuff, i don't know if i've ever been properly scared by Star Trek? i guess the closest would probably be All Those Who Wander from SNW which i remember having to pause at night and finish in the morning because i will almost definitely have nightmares about thriller style things if i watch them right before bed.
49. A favorite ST fic?
i'm unfortunately awful at actually remembering the fics i read but i heartily recommend Overlap by @regionalpancake for a post s1 Seven/Raffi fic.

being an eighth doctor adventures fan is so hard. how do i explain to people that i want them to read an unfinished postmodernist series of 73 pulp science fiction novels from the early 2000s that's made up of a bunch of writers arguing about how to best fundamentally deconstruct dr who as a concept

Janeway is already struggling with her mental state in Concerning Flight –
JANEWAY: You're giving up. Again. Your beautiful painting of the Adoration, the great bronze horse in Milan, the Battle of Anghiari. Unfinished, all of them. You were going to publish your notebooks. You never did. You have given up, abandoned your most important works. Why?
She probes Da Vinci intently, trying to figure out why he would abandon all that's important to him and the things he's tried to achieve. Why throw away everything that's gotten him up to this point?
The real question is why would she care so much? She is too invested in his answer, and she's really accusing him of the things she fears she'll do. She fears she'll give up because she's already descending into the depressive episode we see culminate in Night. "You've given up. Abandoned your most important works. Why?" She's not asking him that question; she's asking for herself.
Janeway is struggling to hold on and she's looking for strength anywhere she can find it, even if it is in the comfort of a Renaissance holodeck program. What's especially telling is she only does this when she's alone with Da Vinci because the second Voyager needs attention, she's back to being captain. Given some space, though, she's ruminating in isolation and blame

only three is so hard but right now it's gotta be Seven of Nine, Kathryn Janeway, and Kira Nerys. (but also shout out to Raffi & Dax who jump up to top 3 if i start thinking about them too much and also i've been having a lot of Michael thoughts recently so she might be a contender soon)
13. A ship you wish had been canon and why?
hmm. that's a difficult question for me because i really don't care that much if ships are canon or non-canon. like as long as they have interesting interactions and potential, i truly don't care if it's confirmed or not. that said, i'll go with the obvious answer and say Garashir because them having a relationship would have deepened both of their character arcs with Garak's lies and half-truths being stripped away to actual emotion and Bashir falling in love with a twisted version of his own fantasy.
40. If you got a trek inspired tattoo, what would it be?
i do fully intend to get either a little Starfleet insignia or an IDIC tattoo one day. i already have a TARDIS tattoo so i think it's only fair to represent both of the fandoms that left a big impact on me
39. You have to relocate to a planet other than Earth, which do you choose?
i feel like Earth in the Star Trek future is objectively the best place to be (barring mysterious whale-searching probes & related incidents) but otherwise i would love to go to post-Occupation Bajor. according to ds9, it's one of the most beautiful planets and has a rich culture & history.
