Fun fact
I know I make a lot of food jokes with CC,
But I’d actually imagine in canon that, like reptiles, they only really have to eat a few times a week. (Due to all the kaiju sized creatures, which they need to hunt to survive, living in small populations)
And although they can eat plants it gives them less energy than meat, and inanimate objects and such give them even less so and is something they’ll eat as a last resort or just because they are able to (mostly the latter tho LOL)

TL;DR
Crimson's power is connected to soul power. Because Asriel has a monster soul (which is obviously less powerful than a human's), a corrupted Asriel would be less powerful than CC
What would have happened if Crimson processed Asriel instead of Chara? Like if we had Corrupted Asriel instead.
Would be the same except both Asriel and Crimson would be significantly less powerful (and Asriel would probably be less traumatized in comparison considering all the experimentation stuff and surface stuff Chara went through in this AU). All for one specific reason.
Crimson's power is dependent on the power of one's soul. Considering Chara is human with a human soul, he'd be at his most powerful and influential with them and with humans in general. He'd most likely be smaller, weaker, less deadly physical traits, etc. However, due to him being a monster these drawbacks would probably be made up for due to him having magic unlike Chara/CC
Also, not saying a corrupted Asriel wouldn't be dangerous, not at all (because he definitely would be). But he'd most certainly be less powerful purely because of him having a monster soul.
One step further, Crimson would be even LESS powerful if he possessed wildlife (which have their own even weaker soul types in this AU)
It's an interesting concept though! I may brainstorm abilities for a fun "what if" scenario due to him having monster magic

Frick I haven’t posted here in a while…
Here, have a character tidbit
(WIP)
In this AU, Frisk ends up in the underground by running away from their caring adoptive family.
During their time in the underground, they learn to be empathetic and see the error of their ways until eventually, they end up becoming the only person to get through to the person most broken in this story (CC) by realizing the many similarities between eachother; thinking that if it wasn’t too late for them to change, it wasn’t too late for Chara as well.
Before Frisk’s character development, they are angry and spiteful due to what they’ve endured while growing up in the foster system. They are kinda a jerk before all of their character growth

One of CC’s weaknesses is sight (sorta)
To balance out how powerful their hearing is, I made it to where their sight could be used to Frisk’s advantage.
However, their vision is not a weakness in the ways you think though! It’s not that they can’t see… far from it actually; in fact, they can see in the dark. It’s just that the color in their vision is slightly muted compared to regular human.
Already, due to CC’s SHEER SIZE, Frisk can be hard to spot when hunting them down. Which is why hiding it out gives Frisk the highest chance of survival ***(albeit Frisk has to be deathly quiet and still due to CC’s incredible hearing)***
But given the color in CC’s vision is more muted compared to the average human, this gives Frisk an even bigger survival chance when hiding it out!
Here’s an example of what I mean:

Both Frisk and Chara narratively are supposed to parallel eachother, making the final battle more impactful for the characters.
Throughout the Pacifist route Frisk (along with everything else they learn through their character development) will very slowly realize how similar both they and Chara are to eachother (not to mention how the route affects Chara as well) Only in CC’s Final Form’s battle does the full realization hit Frisk… and it hits them hard.
In the end, Frisk becomes the first person to be able to truly understand/empathize with Chara and all the mental turmoil they’ve been going through for such a long time… Because Frisk themselves knew what it was like... They knew what it was like to be failed by everyone, to have a voice in your head dictating your every move, to become bitter and cold, to be mistreated, to feel like a mistake, to want everyone to hurt like you have because of everything… This is ultimately what ends up saving Chara during their battle in Pacifist. By the time Frisk enters Chara’s battle, Frisk saves Chara because they WANT to, not because they have to… reassuring Chara that they aren’t alone or a lost cause and that it isn’t too late for them to change and to be happy… Like how it wasn’t too late for Frisk.
Through this empathy, Frisk as able to open Chara’s eyes up to the truth… the truth that their family did indeed love them and would never abandon them.

Whose is going to need the most therapy at the end of Talltale?
Prepare this is a lengthy one lol
Chara/CC. 1000%. it's not even close lol
If I explained it all, this post would probably be twice as long LOL. And that's saying a lot.
But besides them, I might say Gaster? (although it's completely deserved on his part unlike the rest of the cast...)
He is constantly haunted by horrific hallucinations of Chara/CC all the time after The Incident. Hallucinations that are filled to the brim with body horror and stuff.
(Whether or not his hallucinations where caused by his guilt, the substance, or even a mix of both is completely up for interpretation btw)
But as for characters who are undeserving of what they got besides Chara, I'd say Frisk.
Frisk is probably the most obvious and more likely candidate. Canonically, they are supposed to have many similarities and mental issues to Chara/CC in order to make Frisk's eventual WANT of saving Chara more impactful and plausible due to them both having a sense of relatability to eachother, especially as Frisk is pretty much the only one to be able to understand them to a degree.
You see, the player is actually a part of the lore. To parallel Chara once again, the player acts like a voice in Frisk's head much like Crimson is to CC; except the player is not malevolent like Crimson or benevolent like Hope, but rather neutral and ignorant. After completing Neutral, Frisk grows a lot of distain towards the player, whether the player guided them in the right direction or not. Which is a factor on why in Pacifist, the more you go through the route, the more Frisk starts acting on their own and making their own decisions, even choosing to save Chara without any want or need of the players help or control at the very end.
I mention that because having the Player as a voice in your head would guarantee to strain their mental health. Especially in Genocide. Where Frisk is basically like UT Chara, where the Player influences Frisk into thinking what they are doing is right etc. They even question the player out right at times "are you sure?" When you choose to do something terrible in the early stages of the route. There's also even a point in Pacifist Route where Frisk breaks down from the stress of having the Player constantly influencing them, even if the player had good intentions or not.
There's also the fact they grew up in foster care for most of their life. Being treated terribly the whole time. To the point when they finally get adopted they run away and they fall into the underground despite their new family loving them. (Frisk missing their adoptive parents are a part of their character arc btw)
And the cherry on top, Frisk is constantly attacked and always in danger. They have to constantly deal with Vengeful Spirits after them, wildlife constantly trying to kill them, and I don't think I have to explain how traumatic CC can be towards them lol. In CC's battle in Pacifist when CC becomes a god, they canonically end up killing Frisk over and over and over... So yeah... I think Frisk might need the most therapy besides Chara lol

Fun little prompt idea
A VERY messy sketch of what Talltale Asriel and Talltale Chara would probably look like as adults if Chara was never taken and The Incident never happened!
Tumblr media
(NOTE): Chara looks confident which is honestly the opposite of their behavior in the AU, however there is a reason for this!
If Chara never died and instead grew up, their anxiety and extremely timid nature would have most likely slowly fizzled out. But for this to happen or work, there still unfortunately would have had to have been a break down for Chara for this to finally happen.
Because as I mentioned before, (and is very important to the lore) the constant unintentional dismissals where slowly tearing them apart as time went on to the point they where BOUND to snap eventually *(it happening during them and Asriel’s fight being when it happens in the regular Talltale canon)*. But in this timeline for Chara actually LIVE means The Incident, Chara’s Plan, or Gaster taking Chara wouldn’t have happened… So Chara would have probably hit their breaking point as expected, but instead of everything going wrong, them and Asriel ending up learning from it afterwards… Chara learning to let their feelings out and not constantly bundle em up and Asriel learning how important it is to just be there to listen, even if he doesn’t know what to say or how to help in the end.
So basically, If Talltale Chara never died and actually grew up, their personality would have shined a lot brighter (that being playfully sarcastic and witty) and they would be considerably less timid compared to before (though the very shy and introverted part of them still hasn’t gone away ofc, as they only act that way to those they know and nobody else)
Talltale Chara also loved to read and learn all they could about what the Underground had to offer, so I could imagine them taking the occupation of being some sort of keeper, and writer that involves monster/human/surface/underground/soul lore and history etc. (that and just being a writer in general, Like Asgore in the AU)!
For Asriel (sadly don’t have AS much info):
Unlike his dad, he is lacking a lion-like mane as an adult, and it’s most likely due to a genetic issue. As he matured he became more understanding and gentle compared to his younger counterpart and thinks things through CONSIDERABLY more; as his child counterpart’s biggest flaws in the AU being that he was prone to speak before thinking without realizing how tone deaf he can be at times; that and he can be quite stubborn despite his mostly kind and forgiving nature (he basically acts like Spirit Asriel after his character arc as a spirit, just minus the crippling guilt and sadness and well… being dead lol). Asriel as an adult also has front facing horns like his Vengeful Spirit counterparts seen in the normal Talltale canon!
And of course, he would be King as an adult lol
Here they are normally as a comparison:

Random fact:
As a means to try and make Talltale Asriel more unique in comparison to other iterations; I made it to where Asriel’s horns would canonically be forward facing if he where to ever grow up without The Incident cutting his life short
(Art is old btw)
Tumblr media
Might draw Talltale Asriel, Chara, MK, and GK as adults if no Incident where to ever happen as a drawing prompt one day. Who knows?

Random lore about how part of the Underground operates (NOTE: it has a slight plot hole I need to find a way to fix though however)
(Both before and after The Incident) Plants are able to grow and characters/fauna are able to tell the time of day due to there being giant cracks on the top of the underground. Sunlight is able to shine through them, giving plants opportunity to do photosynthesis and grow exponentially as well as allow more creatures to evolve to certain niches (considering sunlight is needed for life).
The one plot hole I got to fix though… is humans not being able to find these cracks and stuff… because I can explain that monsters couldn’t get out despite them due to the Barrier; but considering in this AU, current humans don’t know about monsters and that the underground is huge… this can be a bit of an issue and I’ll have to find a way to work around it ngl.

Random lore about souls in Talltale (Just concept ideas though)
(Some things may change in the future… I just came up with it lol)
-Humans and Monsters in this AU both have the same types of soul coloration.
-Wildlife that originally evolved from the surface:
these types of fauna originally evolved from surface dwelling creatures that moved into the Underground. They are ironically the fauna that inhabit the Underground the most after the Incident…. Like all surface dwelling creatures, they decompose after they die and have a food chain that functions the same as the ones on surface. Fauna that evolved from surface dwelling fauna was never uncommon in the Underground, even back before the incident happened... It was just more balanced in comparison to the fauna that evolved the same way the Monster’s have.
-Wildlife that evolved the same way as monsters:
These types of creatures were much more common before the incident, however the Incident killed off most of these populations like how the Incident killed off all Monsters (besides Gaster). However, despite them being rare now… These types of Fauna still exist by the time Frisk falls into the Underground! Since these types of creatures evolved the same way as the Monsters, they also turn to dust when they die like said monsters. Other creatures in the food chain that would prey on them, both pre and post incident, evolved special organs to turn said dust into energy (Nature’s way of keeping the populations in check)!
-Wildlife do have souls! they are just extremely weak in terms of power. Weak enough for all creatures who die to go to their respective afterlives without the substance keeping them from moving on (unlike the poor monsters).
-All souls can be different shades of the same color! and some can even have a hue of another color if the character’s personality fits it
-The only Demon and Angel that appears in the AU are Hope and Crimson, and they only appear minimally despite having a LOT of important lore. Despite this however, I still wrote down their soul types despite this in particular having little importance to the story overall… also, I know I haven’t shared Hope yet, but I promise she’s important and makes sense lol.

Soul colors:
~~Human and Monster Soul Colors
-Red = Determination
-Orange = Bravery
-Yellow = Justice
-Green = Kindness
-Light Blue = Patience
-Dark Blue = Integrity
-Purple = Perseverance
~~Wildlife Soul Colors
-Red = Curiosity
-Orange = Hostility
-Yellow = Loyalty
-Green = Empathy
-Light Blue = Anxiety
-Dark Blue = obstinacy
-Purple = Ingenuity
Here’s Crimson and Hope’s (well, for Crimson it would be his soul before it was shattered anyway lol):

A very sad yet important Talltale fact:
(Sorry if it's a little jumbled, it's an idea I just got that really clicked so many things together for CC's/Talltale Chara's character as a whole)
In the Underground, as Chara continuously got their feelings dismissed and only having, what they saw, as only a diary to vent on; they slowly became more cold, bitter, and more visibly unhappy compared to when they first settled into their new family.
Asriel denying their plan (the plan is basically the one in regular Undertale) despite having good reason to was most likely their final straw, explaining why their fight became so explosive etc.
After having their feelings dismissed for so long, even though it was completely unintentional on Asriel's part (as Asriel just simply never understood the things Chara went through), the feelings that were kept bundled up inside finally broke free in a very hard hitting way
It's important to know that BOTH they and Asriel said some pretty mean stuff to eachother...
Despite slowly becoming bitter due to all the dismissals, Chara did still love their family however; and they knew their family loved them back despite everything.
So when Asriel, without thinking, yelled that they've never been his friend- it broke everything they thought they knew. To them, it was confirmation of their deepest yet rising fear; their fear that the love given to them was all just an act and that the Dreemurrs didn't actually love them. And so, they tearfully ran away only to be taken by Gaster who used them as a lab rat without the Dreemurrs knowing.
Doesn't help that the whole time down there in Gaster's secret lab and being experimented on, nobody came for them. This officialized everything to them... That they meant nothing to the Dreemurrs... That they were replaceable... and that monsters and humans were no different to eachother. Making everything even worse, Gaster would go deliberately out of his way to reinforce their feelings by mocking them.
Even though in reality... Toriel, Asgore, and Asriel searched EVERYWHERE for them, with Asriel feeling especially guilty, thinking he was responsible for everything.
This one was sad fact I know, but it's a detail that's incredibly important! Explaining a LOT of CC's behavior!
