Ranking my versions of my Five based off of her levels of unhinge-ness.
Read more below just because there could be some stuff considered spoilers?
1: NL!Callista Glover. “The Red Soldier” (my own personal AU) This bitch crazy and traumatized. Lived in Red Scorpion Base and was basically a test subject and didn’t meet Team Abel until S9. Do not turn your back on her ever. She will kill with no remorse. Feels everything and nothing all at the same time. Girly is in her Reputation Era and doesn’t plan on getting out of it any time soon.
2. ZR!Callista Glover. “Runner 5” (main series) She isn’t in her Reputation Era just yet but she’s close. Her mind is literally breaking and she’s been traumatized ten times over and her marriage fell apart in front of her eyes. Like girl needs therapy, meds, a vacation, the whole works. She’s approximately two seconds away from snapping and killing everyone.
3: Ista-Glow. “Rookie” (Dystopia Rising) She is a mercenary. What would you expect? Also major parental issues. Has died before and in Dystopia Lore coming back is a horribly kind breaking thing so def has baggage from that.
4. Evangeline Freeman. “Walker” (The Walk) Has mental health issues at the beginning but isn’t really unhinged at the beginning of her story. Slowly becomes more unhinged as the story goes on. Will definitely need therapy.
5. Callista ‘Cal’ Glover. “Rider” (Dragon Flight) This version of Callista is 14. Do you know how unhinged 14-year-olds are? I don’t think I need to say any more.
6. Glass Woman “Five” (Endless Sea add-on story) Poor girl loses her memory and has black glass armor. Doesn’t talk to the aliens on the planet she resides on much and doesn’t let them ever see her in the forest where she lives. If unhinged because she is very casual about breaking and entering into the literal castle of the alien royalty and bossing the king and queen around and getting them to do what she wants. Isn’t super high on the list just because she doesn’t ask for much or anything drastic.
7. Callista Elizabeth ‘Eliza’ Glover. “Apprentice Five” (Abel’s Buccaneers). Literally became Dr. Samuel’s apprentice because her sister abandoned her on the streets of a place she’d never been in because she flew off the rails after her fiancé died. Fell in love with Dr. Samuel because he gave her the tiniest bit of affection. Girly needs therapy. Not unhinged as the others but as some issues she needs to work on.
8. Callista Glover. “Specialist Five” (Venus Rising). Goes on a mission while dying so she can spend more time with her secret bf. When secret bf does she blames the Captain for not doing anything and plots to kill her even while running for her life. Ends up doing so after the last mission of the series. Ironically becomes the last one surviving when she is dying of a terminal disease. Although that last part doesn’t make her unhinged. Everything else though…
9. Callie Morse. “Stoker Five” (Mystery at 4000 Fathoms). Slightly unhinged due to grief. Literally loses it when she can’t find her locket with her late husband’s picture in the beginning. But she does start the healing process at the end of the new adventure.
10. Celeste. “Bellhop” (Hotel Hijinks). Not really unhinged, but does whatever unhinged stuff she’s told to do, like getting into a dumbwaiter to spy on others. This is especially unhinged for Celeste because she’s hard of hearing/mostly deaf so she’d have to peak through and read lips.
11. Quinn (Rule Britannia series). Not really unhinged, although we could say she’s crazy for dealing with so much bullshit for as long as she has. But for the most part is very level headed and isn’t completely murderous.
12. Detective Glover. “Runner 13” (The 13th Runner). The most level headed of them all. Has a brain cells and actually uses them. No inning was unless we consider how the story could end which can go which her going to most unhinged or remaining least unhinged. But during the mission she is not unhinged and is super prepared. Is a bit of a workaholic though.

Started Rule Britannia to Pass the Time Between Season 10 Missions
And I have to say, I was hoping for werewolves. I saw the illustration on the second mission and heard the hints about a birthmark in the first episode, and when the wolf chased us, I really thought "werewolf!"
But no. We're back to zombies with a dash of pagan witchcraft. Oh, sorry--revenants

Just wanted to share those two spreads together cause I love the parallels (well they went out at the same time) No Matter what, Lelouch is Zero before and above everything, Zero was the embodiment of his hate and frustration and ability to act against Britannia, and while the Black Knights were in the end disappointing, that's his real self, much more him than he ever was during those 4 episode as emperor.
Adding this small analysis cause it's always so weird to see people summarizing him as the emperor when he was a masked emperor lol.
Had he really ruled himself as an emperor, we'd have definitely gotten something less fabulous than ZR ending, but certainly interesting to follow. Another AU that would have been way better Lol.

I did a lot of ZR AUs today!
I’m really enjoying Endless Sea so far (although my arachnophobic self didn’t do well with the spiders but I made it through that part!) and I FINALLY got round to starting Rule Britannia and I am OBESSESED! (And I already have a lot of headcanons for already which will be coming tomorrow)

Anyway! I finished zombies run Rule Britannia (as suggested by @wubbelwubbwubb 😊) and was not disappointed! I LOVE learning about Rome and mythology so was pleasantly surprised! So enjoy a Quintus!
I have no idea what their backstory would be in this AU. I have to think about it. Maybe it's a Mulan situation 🤔 anyway, I enjoyed drawing Five with short hair 😊

I know not as many of us have done the zombies run home front missions as do the regular ones but is anyone else obsessed with the Sarah smith quote from hope is an axe?

I also love this moment because Janine is always trash at accents but her Sarah smith is spot on and that’s just 😍😍

As I started running the new adventures on zombies run.... (I’m on mobile so I can’t do a read more. Leave now if you don’t want the new adventures slightly spoiled)
Originally I was thinking “these are literally runner 5 having fever dreams” because 1)same voice actors, 2)same names or very close, 3)zombies. But now that I’ve done “Venus rising”, “rule Britannia”, and “a study in ichor” I’m more so feeling an I’d find you anywhere vibe. Like Sam and 5 and Peter (and Maxine and Steve and all the others) find each other again and again. In any lifetime. In any reality. These people find each other. And that’s just so comforting

Mild spoilers for ZR season 7, episode 32 but.....
I just resynced my zombie link and got about 40 emails I didn’t realize I was missing (it’s been a busy quarantine) and this one from Amelia from after season 7, episode 32 made me remember why my 5 mostly genuinely likes her. (Now if she could just stop flirting with Sam...)

What we know about Quintus and Samnium:
- Quintus is an auxiliary. Meaning that they are not Roman, but still part of its army. Auxiliaries usually are recruited by the army - either by choice or occasionally by force - with the promise of becoming a roman citizen at the end of their service. Quin apparently ‘joined the auxiliary’ willingly.
- Quin and Sam ‘played on the beaches in dalmatia’ when they were kids, meaning they’ve been friends for a very long time. Sam calls them ‘Quintus’ and ‘Quinque’ meaning that one of them is going to be an affectionate nickname <3
- Sam seems ‘Roman’. He talks about how his dad is whilst in charge of the slaves. Maeve and others refer to him as a Roman. Quin could very easily be Croatian, but at the same time, the Romans moved around Europe A LOT.
- Combine all that with the fact that I REALLY wanted to draw Five with celtic paint and we have Celtic/Pictish Five sort of backstory 😅 my idea was basically they were 'rescued' by a Roman soldier and raised as a boy for the own protection. By the time they join the auxiliary, they've probably forgotten most of their heritage - their original name and their clan 😢 because I can't not include angst apparently.

There's a #faceyourart thing on insta right now so I thought I'd join in.
I am used to draw most characters looking the exact same because I was a pretty crappy artist. So now I do try my best to make each character unique in some way. I don't know if it works or comes across to you guys, I still draw characters I've drawn a million times and think "WhAt If No OnE kNoWs WhO tHeY aRe?!"
But designing characters all different and unique is always something in the front of my mind when I draw someone new.

Rule Britannia Race Review
Okay, so I said I was going to review Dinosaur Dash, but I didn’t want to have two “meh” reviews directly after another, so I switched to this one.
Rule Britannia
Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars
Spoiler Warning? Spoilery in the last category, but I’ll warn you first.
General impression: I had so much fun! It reminded me a bit of discovering ZR and being completely obsessed with the story and feeling totally immersed. I love the setting, liked the characters a lot and enjoyed the story. Both funny and very serious (and it’s really funny, at several moments, I was laughing while running).
What I liked best: The characters together were a lot of fun, and the gags landed super well in my opinion. Also, the tension doesn’t let up until the very last moment.
- Oh, wait, I just remembered another great thing that has absolutely nothing to do with the story: I kept mishearing “Picts” as “Pigs” (not a native speaker), and that made EVERYTHING better.
“The pigs are coming!” “Shh, do you want the pigs to hear us??” “I hear the pigs have dark magic!”
What I didn’t like: They added a lot of storylines and background stuff which in the end, had to be tied up super quickly, which I thought didn’t work that well. Sometimes, simpler is better. Also, sometimes I got whiplash from the quick changes in tone from super serious to super casual.

Okay, so Sam and “Petro” – that gotta be cognomen, right?? And I am called Quintus – why am I the only one without a cognomen here? Am I that unimportant??
Can I maybe have a little tiny bit of a backstory? If you give me no character at all, being Runner Five is just being a spectator.
The shaman’s voice actor sounds very calm. Okay, screaming in your ear would be irritating, but seeing your dead wife being on fire while stuck in a wall requires some emoting, don’t you think??
Okay, the wife – you spend at least 17 years being tortured horrifically in Tartarus. Now you’re freed – and I have no idea how that happened exactly – and you are calm, loving and eloquent. Shouldn’t all those years influence your communication skills? Does nobody remember Sirius Black? Was he all quiet, like, “Harry, we have to talk, you might have received some misinformation regarding my role in your parents’ demise” or did he go all in like “I DID MY WAITING! TWELVE YEARS OF IT! IN AZKABAN!!!! SOMEONE WILL DIE HERE TONIIIIIGHT!!!” And he wasn’t even on fire while in Azkaban!

The title of the last episode... Latin doesn’t make it sound any better...
Sam’s not a centurion, I don’t believe it. He sounds like he is seventeen, and I think that would make a lot more sense – a brave, but still insecure seventeen-year-old, clever enough to make a pact with the Picts but dumb/idealistic enough to believe the letter.
Maybe it’s nepotism.
I would love to change the ending, and the stuff with the Roman hell. I couldn’t really visualize any of that.
I think Cursor V / Quintus should have died. Would have been a nice call back to the moment in the first episode – “You took an arrow for me!” – and would have made the last episode/the showdown more dramatic. Scratch Cerberus, or shrink his role.
Imagine: You die as Quin, Sam’s calling your name, his voice is fading, sound effects, suddenly, the dead wife of the Shaman’s speaking with you. The shaman can hear you, she guides Sam. Dramatic/emotional farewell. Sam’s promising to do all that he can to ensure the Picts can live in peace. You travel through the world of the dead with the Shaman’s wife, here, where Picts and Romans can be at peace, at last.
