i agree! it’s very weird! they both had a period of not having their friends tag them in things and clearly wanting to lay low, but it seems like jack has gone back to relative normalcy where alex is still hiding out (at least on social if not also irl). i get the feeling that alex has been more focused on work (doing features, probably writing for the new album, etc), and it’s not like it’s the first time he’s taken a social media break (like at the end of 2020, beginning of divorce times). i think alex in general values what people think of him a lot, and i think for that reason, it makes sense that after the “cancellation”/whatever, he would step back from social media to avoid being under that much scrutiny. there was a time i thought we might go back to normal but deep down i know that alex will probably never come back to social media the way he once did. i think he’s curating a social media presence focused on business and it sucks because that’s just not our band that we love but i foresee that being our future

but to be fair to them, its cheaper and probs easier to get to a six flages than didney. i could probs afford to go to the six flags in my state but disney would put me more in debt just to get to any location

it IS easier and cheaper to get to six flags for sure!! i actually started to go in harder on it in my tags and then reeled back because that exact thing occurred to me.

Idk which six flags is yours, but mine is six flags over georgia and its generally considered… not the greatest? not the worst either, but no one’s traveling here to go there. also, its like, 99F with 100% humidity on any given day. which I guess isn’t much different than Disney World’s location in Florida, but Disney at least gives you more places to find shade and cool off.

Personally I just think like, as far as Georgia attractions go…. you can do yourself a million times better by going ANYWHERE else than six flags with your money.

there’s a Margaritaville water park at Lake Lanier (which has a super interesting historical background and has a legacy of being haunted!), there’s the zoo, the aquarium, the world of coke (which is kinda lame too tbh but ATL is where cocacola was invented! and they have a cool little room where you can try all their products from different countries), the civil rights museum is an extraordinarily interesting place and I can’t recommend it enough either.

I’d also be remiss to not mention Oakland Cemetery, which is one of my favorite places in the world and has tours every weekend! its ~40 acres and ~200 years old. a lot of ATL’s mayors are buried there, as well as the writer of Gone With The Wind, Margaret Mitchell, and country legend Kenny Rogers. it has a deep and complicated history and I highly encourage everyone to interact with it. they have awesome volunteers (I may be biased), a little giftshop, and really cool events that happen seasonally!

there’s Savannah GA (also haunted!) (they have a haunted pirate restaurant!) (they get fucking crazy on St Patricks Day!) (and theres the beach!) (Tybee Island is nearby! you can visit lighthouses and go on wild life tours!)

there’s Stone Mountain (which gets a lot of shit but is fun as a day trip thing and they have cool light shows at night), in the fall you can go up to the mountains and visit the apple orchards and pick your own apples and most of the places have VERY GOOD baked goods and cider. there’s also Helen, which is a cool little town with european influences, and Dahlonega, which both have river rafting and are extremely beautiful places.

if you want to go further south, you can visit the Okefenokee Swamp, but I’m not even going to pretend like I know a lot about what south ga has going on.

none of this even takes into consideration the amount of other historical sights + nature parks we have scattered about.

tldr my state is full of really cool and very fun things to do that aren’t just 15 different rollercoasters and a subpar waterpark

how was today? today was definitely a day! woke up way too early and got ready for work. headed out and listened to ATL's new album again on my way. around an hour or two into my shift i had a lady really really not like that i asked her for her phone number. i knew by her response to me asking for her phone number that she was gonna be a bitch and i was so right! when i let her know that she couldn't do returns or exchanges without an account she started angrily ranting about how "every store nowadays tries to force you into making an account with them blah blah blah" (which like, she's not wrong but it doesn't hurt to make your next shopping experience a little easier and if you really don't want to you don't have to be a giant ginormous bitch). so i was like "it just makes it a little easier for us!" and she FOR REAL SAID "i don't care, it makes it harder for me" BITCH PLEASE. anyways, rest of the shift went pretty good, had a couple of people who were SO NICE TO ME!! coit came in today and we caught up a little bit which was super nice! lowkey wish a certain coworker of mine would stop trying to flirt with me i do not like it but i do not know how to say no. stayed a couple extra hours because i need the money! headed home and ate a yummy dinner while watching GGG with dad. bed time now!

Many varieties of plants and well-kept gardens. I enjoyed all the spots to sit and enjoy nature, especially the pond that had cool origami vessels in it. Cool was seeing all the other metal origami throughout the gardens. 

Although I enjoyed the overlook walkway, my friend who is afraid to scale heights had trouble with it. It was extremely hot. There weren't many cool indoor areas. However, there were shady spots to be found. I enjoyed the live music.

Zoo Atlanta

Atlanta Zoo is working hard at modernizing exhibits and utilizing the land they acquired. They have some great exhibits such as the Giant Pandas and the area for the baboons. Even though we didn't see an elephant there, the new elephant Centre was spectacular.

This was the first week of March. The giraffes, elephants, and other animals were not out. No orangutans out. No rhinos. However, the giant pandas, lions and tigers, as well as the baboons, giant pandas and red pandas were all visible.

You can see more than what I described at the Zoo. Reptile house, monkeys and play areas are just a few examples.

Fox theatre
