Hey guys this is my first post. I’m currently obsessed with zombies so here is what dating Zed Necrodopolis would include...
~~
This man is so loyal to you and loves you no matter what happens. Like if you two get into an argument he’ll be the first to apologize and if you just ignore him, he’ll follow you around like a lost puppy.
His love language is acts of service. He doesn’t care what your love language is he’ll always help you out. If your having a bad day he’ll water all the plants in the house to help you out or he’ll do the dishes.
Nicknames: Love, princess, doll. He likes these ones because he loves to make you feel like a queen. Which you are his queen.
Forehead kisses are a must. Because of the height difference it’s easiest for him to just kiss your forehead. Of course he’ll still kiss you on the check and lips, but it just works for you both.
He’s really tall compared to you, unless your like 6′9″. Nothing else to be said except he’s f-ing tall.
When he wins football games he’ll run up to you and pick you up. After a game he’ll run up to you and pick you up to hug you.
You’re def a cheerleader, unless your not. I think you’ll be a cheerleader because like in every high school movie ever the cheerleader and captain of the football team always get together.
He’s good at doing hair and will always play with your hair. Since he has a little sister someone has to do her hair. He’s always plating you hair.
You and Eliza are besties. Zed loves when you get along with his friends and family. It’s honestly make him like you more. Eliza probably didn’t like you at first but when you and her started bonding over computers she started to see you as a close friend.
He teaches you how to speak zombie. Since he sometimes calls you nicknames in zombie you asked him to teach you. You also don’t know what Bonzo is saying sometimes so he helps you out and you out.
He also loves cuddling with you. You two are always cuddling and even your parents have walked in on you two cuddling.
Your parents love Zed. Your parents hate zombies but ever since Zed they’ve grown to love zombies especially Zed.
Zed isn’t Jealous. Zed isn’t the type to be Jealous but when the werewolves come you’ve just witnessed a side you’ve never seen before.
But the Zombies trilogy is so political I am honestly surprised it was greenlit.
We have Z1 that deals with segregation, racism and prejudice against people of a different culture who are treated as monsters and are clearly relegated to the worst part of town. Ring any bells? Considering that it is situated in the US...
Then Z2 that, imo, deals with an issue prevalent with the native american comunities and colonization. Like, early settlers stealing not only the very earth and parts of the forest from the werewolves but also something that directly keeps them alive. They are seen as a myth, something to be hidden and ignored, and just want whats theirs back. Like, it cant be more obvious than that.
Z3: people that look different, "invade" the town to search for a better home after theirs was litterally destroyed, have a different culture(that sees non binary and queer people as, if not norm, at least completely ok)...If thats not about imigrants I am honestly v confused what its supposed to be abt.
And none of these marginalized groups are painted as villains. They are clearly right, just misunderstood, they are the heroes. The villain is the racist ass dude that doesnt see people as equal. For me its v crazy how disney as a comoany w multiple racism and homophobia scandals mamaged to do this without completely fucking up. Of cource the reconciliatio narrative pushes that eventually the racist people will just accept everyone out of the goodness of their heart, which ignores very solid structures of power that I could honestly write a thesis abiut. But its a kids movie so...
These are my fwo cents on one of my newest hyperfixations lol
Unpopular Opinion about Zombies 3: I think Addison should have stayed a human.
I think it’s nice how she figured out who she was, and got to play a big role with the aliens, but I feel as though something was missing, personally. In my version, the aliens mistake Addison’s white hair as one of the defining traits of an alien. Her being an alien would’ve been further proven when Addison gets beamed you by Motherboard. The whole reason behind Addison getting beamed up is for a special reason. That reason is to find out the aliens true plan so she can unite the werewolves, zombies and aliens together in order to bring them to their Utopia.
It turns out that Addison had a rare genetic that only a few percent of people on Earth had. Initially, Addison would get super disappointed and confused, thinking that maybe she could’ve been an alien. She admits to herself, like in the second movie that she believed life would’ve been easier if she were an alien and fit in somewhere. Somewhere where everybody properly understood how it felt to get mistreated for their differences (obviously not to the same degree but u get my point) She feels more upset that she’d set herself up for high expectations, only to get disappointed and realize maybe she wasn’t as special as she thought she was.
However, Zed and her friends comfort her and tell her that it doesn’t matter whether she’s human or not since she’s special the way she is. For my version of Zombies 3, Addison eventually realizes that she is special and does belong in Seabrook, human or not. Addison remembers how she was surrounded by friends and family who have loved and supported her differences this whole time. Support is what Addison needed because her whole life she’s always been insecure and believed something was missing about her. She’s always been ashamed of being her true self. It would’ve been very nice to see Addison be able to accept herself and not try to fit in amongst other people all the time to try and find out where she belongs. (Prime examples are when Addison changed her whole clothing style and adopted wolf characteristics when she found out she could’ve been the great alpha) I believe instead, this plot line would have rather strengthened everybody’s relationships with Addison.
And if you’re wondering, the Scout’s most precious thing in Seabrook turns out to be hidden in the DNA of A-Spen, A-Lan, and A-Li because the Scout Commander chose the aliens as the ones to find Utopia. There is also the fact that their Scout Commander also considers the aliens as her family and holds a motherly relationship with the three of them.
If audiences still wanted Someday (reprise) and ‘I’m Finally Me’, it could nonetheless be incorporated. Instead of Someday being after Addison leaves, the characters all sing it after they graduate to celebrate their unity. Meanwhile, Addison’s song would take place after she’s figured out she isn’t an alien after all. This is after Addison comes to accept that she does a place in Seabrook. This song would take a whole new meaning, as it would mean Addison embracing her true self and knowing that she does have her worth at Seabrook.
But again, that’s just my opinion about the movie. Personally, I feel like it would have served as a better conclusion for Addison’s dilemma. Either way, I thought the movie was very enjoyable and I’d definitely watch it again :)
