Jennifer’s Adventures; Edging On Romance Waters Chapter 35: Helping My Brother’s Groupmate

Junghwa’s POV
I look up as I hear the front door open. I freeze as the person walks in looks like Chanyi’s step dad. I make sure to double check the picture.
‘This picture…why does it look so much like him?’ I think to myself. I then prepare my pepper spray putting it in the pocket.
“Don’t call the police yet until I say so.” I whispered to Bora and Inhye as the guy comes over
“Can I please just have a hot chocolate?” He asks. “Sure but can I have your IC? I just need to take down your particulars for any future references.” I said nodding my head suspiciously
He goes through his wallet, pulls it out.

′Song Sooga is the guys’s name’ i remember Jungkook telling me. “Are you okay?” The guy asks me
I look at him, “Yes, sorry, i’m fine.” I tell him. “Good” He nods his head and takes his seat.
‘How should I confront him? I need a plan now!’ I think to myself nervously. I just go and make his drink. As i finish he pays for it. I see he pulls out his phone.
‘Uh oh I need to think something quick!’ I think to myself before he just appears in front of me asking
“This is embarrassing but do you know where the hybe building is?” He asks me. “Yes. I can take you there if you want.” I suggest to him.
“Only if it isnt too much trouble.” He tells me. I then walked out of the cafe with him, leaving a note for Bora and Inhye to tell my brother to stay calm if he can’t find me
Its a walk but its okay. This Soogan was trying to start up a conversation with me.
“How old are you?” He asks me. “Turning 21 this year” I answered trying not to freak out. “So young.” He says. “A little younger than my nephew.” He adds on.
I just smile slightly as a way to mislead him thinking I’m listening
“How old is he?” I ask him. “22” He says with a chuckle. “Amazing.” He says.
‘Is he really sooga? Would an abuser talk like this?’
I think to myself, finding something is just off with this guy. “Do you have anybody here that you know of here?” I then asked him.
“My twin brother, but we dont get along.” He says.
‘Twin brother?! Okay! This is getting too weird! Is he really Song Sooga?’ I asked myself in my thoughts
I stop, so does him. “Are you okay?” He asks me. “Yes I am.” I nodded my head trying not to lose my composure.
“Are you sure?” He asks. I nodded my head. ‘Keep your instincts intact Jeon Junghwa’ I keep thinking to myself
“Sis?” I hear my brother say. I turned around to my brother pulling me towards and behind him
He looks at me and Soogan, he then glares at Soogan. “You have hurt Chanyi and his siblings enough. Now you want to hurt my sister?!” He growled at Soogan like a tiger.
“Calm down” I pulled him a few inches back, trying to calm him down
He is able to push me to the side.
“Nononononono! Jungk-” Chanyi tries to push jungkook back.
Chanyi then looks at Soogan and stares in a way that makes me really convince that it is not fear but some sort of unexplainable shock. “Chanyi he i-” jungkook is cut off by chanyi.
“He is my uncle! He is Soogan, he is the twin brother to sooga I was talking about!” He tells jungkook.
“Ah wha-“ My brother before he could say anything else, I immediately take the chance and push him to the side, far away from Soogan.
“The one that died?” He asks. Chanyi nods. “I can’t really blame you guys thinking I’m my evil twin brother.” Soogan speaks up.
“We were told you passed in 2006.” Chanyi tells Soogan. “That was what he told you guys and tell everybody around.” Soogan then gives us from his wallet a photo of him and his twin brother
“Really are twins.” I say amazed. “That’s real twins.” My brother looks at the photo dumbfounded.
I nod, agreeing. “I…I’m sorry Sir…” My brother apologised to Soogan frightened
“No. I do understand.” He tells my brother. “How have you been Chanyi? Is everything okay now?” He asks Chanyi with a touching smile
Chanyi nods. “Yeah. Mostly now that i’m back with my members and that your now back.” Chanyi tells him.
“Great to hear.” He nods his head smiling. “I’m so sorry about what happened to your family especially how Sooga has behaved.” He then apologised to Chanyi.
“Don’t apologise. You didnt do anything wrong.” Chanyi tells him.
“I’m here actually just to check you doing well. Seeing you gaining some colour and doing well, makes me really happy.” Soogan smiles to Chanyi looking at him, ruffling his head.
Chanyi smiles, Jin fixes his hair, or tries to. “Have you checked in on mum and my sisters? And meet my members.” He tells Soogan.
“I have went to check them all. They are doing good.” Soogan says as Jin is the first to introduce himself.
“Kim Seokjin. Oldest of the group.” He says to Soogan. “Nice name.” Soogan says impressed.
“Min Yoongi.” Suga greets Soogan. Everyone greeted him and then it was me.
“I’m Jungkook’s sister, Junghwa. You can just call me Jen. I was a former FBI informant.” I shyly introduce myself
“That explains your actions towards me.” Soogan says, he noticed my actions?
“You seems very suspicious and wary of me, you must be very experienced in your former field.” Soogan explains with a chuckle.
“I was an informant for the FBI for 3-4 years.” I nodded my head before Bora and Inhye runs over. “Are you alright Jen?!” Bora runs to me worried
“Yeah. I’m fine. This person can be trusted.” I tell the two.
“Hahahaha! I like how united you are!” Soogan then laughs. BoHye look at him confused but also worried. “He can be trusted.” Chanyi pulls them over before introducing them to Soogan.
“They are Jen’s coworkers, Bora and Inhye.” Chanyi then introduces BoHye to Soogan.
They both shyly bow. “Today is surely the unforgettable yet exciting experience. Meeting such lovely people.” He then smiles.
“D-Do you still need your hot chocolate?” Inhye out of the blue asks Soogan softly. “Oh yes! I’m so sorry that i forgot about it.” He apologises.
“It’s alright. We will make you a fresh one and all you have today under our cafe will be ON. THE. HOUSE.” I then decided telling him with a smile
“Are you sure?” He asks me. I nodded my head. “I’m sure of it as the owner of my own cafe.” I said with a smile.
“Thank you.” They all say. “Not to worry.” I said as they all raced in the cafe like little rats except my brother whose is apologising to Chanyi repeatedly
“Son. Please stop apologising. You were only protecting your sister and friend. I’m not mad.” Soogan tells him.
My brother just can’t stop apologising that I can’t help thinking of a really not great idea of approaching him and tickling him to stop apologising.

Jennifer’s Adventures; The Start Of A New Life Chapter 17: Blake (Pt.3)

Junghwa’s POV
“Your appointment’s in 2 days. I have asked the CEO to let you open the shop a bit later.”
Jungkook reminds me the fifth time in the row today. “I already know. I have told Bora and Inhye to come later.” I said to him with a pout
“And if you come with that the sixth time, I’m going to ignore you the whole day.” I warned him
“Okay I’ll stop.” He says. I just end up hugging my bolster and go to the couch. He joins me with the bolster also.
“Met anybody new so far?” He asks me and I just laughed. “Blake.” I say. “A group call Stray Kids” I added on.
“Why?” I ask him. “I’m asking cause you only work and I don’t want you to be like me this shy and don’t mix around.” He says.
“I guess being shy and introverted runs in the family” I giggled as he pulls me for a hug. He also giggles as we spend the day talking and watching movies.
-2 Days Later-
“Bora. Inhye. You two go get the carrots and cucumbers for me. There are two different stores for them, bargain if you have to together.”
I tell Bora and Inhye before sending them out on another errand
They nod and leaves. I just ended up occupying myself with the restocking and revenue check before I see a familiar face with 2 additional people coming in.
“Blake welcome!” I tell her, she smiles, her and her friends greet me.
“Hello” I softly greeted her friends. I gave them a good spot to sit with the breeze. “This is Jen’s cafe owner. Jennifer Jeon.” Blake introduce her friends to me before introducing me to her friends
“Jen this is Gina Han Gyeongseop And Duyen Nyguyen”
She introduces the two girls who look friendly. “Nice to meet you. Just call me Jen.” I smiled bowing to Gina and Duyen
They both bow back. “This cafe is simple rustic yet quiet.” Gina looks at the cafe amazed.
“She only started the cafe about before Halloween last year.” Blake tells Gina
“How’s the food?” Duyen bluntly asks. “The food is amazing good. Do you still have the drinks and food from the last time?” Blake says before asking me.
“Yes I still do” I smiled to Blake answering. All three of them put in their orders. I went into the kitchen and play Havana on the player while cooking.
“Havana, ooh na-na (ayy) Half of my heart is in Havana, ooh na-na (ayy, ayy) He took me back to East Atlanta, na-na-na, ah Oh, but my heart is in Havana (ayy) There’s somethin’ ’bout his manners (uh-huh) Havana, ooh-na-na (uh)~” The song plays, if only I wasn’t working now, I be salsa-ing at the song
After listening to the song and doing it all the orders was made and brought out to them. “You’re fast and furious aren’t chu~” Gina giggled went I came out with the orders.
I smile. “How old are you Jen?” Duyen asks as she eats up. “1999…turning 20 this year” I answered softly
“Same age as me.” Gina says. “Amazing! I wish I have your brain at 19-20 years of age!” Duyen dropped her mouth in shock
“How come? Arent you older than me?” I ask. “I mean I wish I thought of that when I was at your age.” She shyly explains herself.
I just blushed. “Thank you.” I softly say. “No worries.” She says as I went to grind the coffee beans by hand while they are eating up.
Soon they are grinded and I am making their drinks. Gina and Duyen are surprised when I gave them their drinks.
“Wow, Thank you.” They both say. “Your very much welcome” I smile and then Blake invites me to have a seat with them.
“Are you sure Blake?” I asked shyly. She nods. I just sat at the empty seat beside Blake. “Jen. Do you have any siblings?” Gina then asks him.
I nodded my head. “Really? How many?” Duyen asks. “2. One is working here and another is studying design.” I shyly answered scratching my head
“Thats awesome. Where is the one here working?” Gina asks. “He’s with his friends.” I blushed until I saw my brother and his group walking in.
“Hey sis!” Jungkook shouts. Blake is giggling as Gina and Duyen look at me shocked.
“Wait! Do you have a Korean name?” Gina asks me. “Jeon Junghwa…” I shyly blushed admitting
“Thats a beautiful name.” Duyen says. “That’s amazing!” Gina squeals a little. “Hello Duyen! Hello Gina!” V waves happily.
“You all know each other?” I happily ask them. “Yeah. Bonnie is the twin to Ryan and most of our members, mostly all is good friends with these ones.” Blake explains to me.
“Ah-oh! So you’re all friends?” I ended getting the picture.
They all nod. I nodded my head understanding. “Erm Jen! You might want to go get the kitchen cause Jin and Suga are about to invade it” Inhye and Bora comes back with the groceries saying
I am able to get in before Jin and Suga reach it. “This is MY kitchen, go do what you’re doing at the DORMS so please go have a seat.” I kindly remind the two
They both just chuckle and leave the kitchen. I got the boys’ usuals done with Inhye and Bora’s help. I ended up cheekily put a kind note on Suga and Jin’s plates:
“Kindly don’t invade another person’s kitchen please! Thank you!”
I hear the pair laugh once they see the notes. “Hahahahaha! The cook and the cooking terrorist invading the kitchen!” Jimin laughs as they eat up before I went back to Blake and her friends apologising about what happened
“Its cool. We like it when people are happy.” Duyen says. “Are you studying at the moment?” Gina then asks me.
“I just finished my high school last year in the United States.” I answered shaking my head
“Thats cool. I’m from america.” Blake says. “No wonder you’re called Jennifer! Hello nice to meet you!” Gina happily greets me in English and starts talking which get me all shy
Blake also talks in English while Duyen tries her best. “Nice to meet you guys, hope the meal is delicious” I blushed talking in English
“It is!” Duyen says. “Let’s get somebody make a unit of those four!” V joked across which got everybody laughing hard for the rest of the time until Blake, Duyen and Gina had to go.
We say our goodbyes and they leave. I just spend the rest of my shift working for everybody till I knocked off.
