When I found you, you were so small, that I felt my monstrous hands would crush you. And when I raised you to my face, I felt my fangs would pierce your tender skin. Yet I held your small body with a gentle hand and took you from that cruel fractal.
When you cried I swaddled you, layed my forehead upon yours, and hummed as best as my damaged throat could. It came all too naturally, it felt familiar. You awoke a gentleness within me I never knew I had.
You grew quickly within so few weeks, large enough now that I needed two hands to hold you. your eyes would open, and I feard But I knew that soon
when they did, that my mangled face would frighten you. That your cries would alert the ward of your presence. And you'd be taken from me. But instead, you d, you giggled cooed, and squeaked. Your wide eyes were full of wonder and joy. It was then I knew that I'd never part with you.
Finnegan, my precious son, you've given me reasons to smile, you've blessed every moment of my day to be filled with love. You've given me a purpose to fight, to protect and give you a life full of love.
