“Darling, say ‘hi’ to your friend,” Yuzuki said, poking her side. “You’re being rude.”
“Yeah, Kurisaki-chan,” Gojo agreed, his mouth full as he shoved two cookies in his mouth. “You’re being rude.”
She glared at him, and his smirk grew as he leaned closer, his bright blue eyes almost glowing at her in amusement.
“What are you doing here, Gojo?” Rinko asked, ignoring the look her mother gave her.
He just held up the cookies.
“Had to come get more of these,” he stated simply, crunching another one. How did this guy not have diabetes? “You never said your mom made these cookies, Kurisaki-chan.” He tilted his head to the side. “Guess you’re a momma’s girl, yeah?”
“Oh, she is!” Yuzuki gushed, and Rinko groaned as her mother wrapped her arms around her. “My beautiful gem-”
“Mom!” Rinko squeaked, turning and giving her a desperate look. “Please, stop-”
“Oh, no,” Gojo interjected. “Please, continue.”

I did it, guys. I finally did it
I made Caramel Miso Butter Cookies!!
I'm going to experiment more in the future because I'm not super happy with how the caramel ended up distributing, but they are yummy! They are also very small. But Gojo does love shoving them in his face two or three at a time 😂
We tried two methods: putting pieces of caramel in the dough before baking, and then (not pictured) we dipped some in a caramel sauce after. I'm going to try chopping the caramel up smaller and adding them to the dough differently, but this was a good first try! 😊
This is the recipe I used: Miso Butter Cookies (味噌バタークッキー) I modified it by adding caramel!
I just imagine Rinko and Yuzuki in Physical Paradox making these 🥹

is it weird if I wanna see some drama between yuzuru and naobito in paradox😂😂
like he starve some attention & love from yuzuru but queen maam doesn’t want anything to do with him anymore. rinko kinda amuse with the whole situation
(I did see your message correcting yourself about Yuzuki's name so don't worry 😊)
So, there won't be too much direct drama because he leaves her alone unless they have to speak
Naobito doesn't want to rekindle things with Yuzuki, he just wants to have a civil relationship with her and Rinko because that's what his wife had always wanted. His affair was pretty short in this AU because Yuzuki found out he was married, and then found out she was pregnant... The main reason she doesn't like him is that he cheated on his wife and lied to her about being married.
In this AU, Naoya is also his only legitimate child, so Rinko is his oldest 😊 (she is the favorite whether she likes it or not, though the bar is set very, very low for that 🙃)

I don’t know if you someone ever asked this, if they did I’m sorry for asking again buuut, how did you choose rinko and her mom’s names? Were they inspired by something else or someone else or was it a google dive of searching for names?
Funny enough, I don't think anyone has asked this yet 🤔
For Rinko, funny enough, I had heard the name in a game I played a while ago and thought it was really pretty. So, when I was trying to come up with a name for her character, I just instinctively chose Rinko. Then, when I was looking into the different characters that could be used for the name, it ended up being perfect for her so it was a great stroke of luck! 😊
For Yuzuki, I was looking at a list of names and just thought the name was really beautiful. And that the meaning of the characters for the name made a lot of sense as well.

Been re-reading through from the beginning, and I can’t help but think of Rinko’s mom in the afterlife just waiting for grandkids because she knows
Also Rinko and Gojo’s kids would be ADORABLE
That said, they’d also be Gojo/Zenin 😳
And they’d be the most SPOILED
(Side note: I feel like Nanami in the afterlife would be like ‘they’ve spawned…’ 🤦🏼♂️)

LET ME TELL YOU THAT YUZUKI IS STRAIGHT CACKLING IN THE AFTERLIFE RIGHT NOW. (she is worried for her daughter because of all the things happening, too)
But this woman is just WAITING for her daughter to be able to let go of her fears and see that she has a person who loves her so, so much. And then give her actual grandbabies. Even though she technically already has like, five or six adopted teenage grandkids 😂😂😂

Think about this though: Gojo and Zenin, meaning that they have the potential for either clan's innate techniques down the line 👀

Maybe a flashback of Rinko and her mother with Shoko and Utahime? I think they only spoke about it (like Shoko loving her cake) but I don't remember seeing any flashbacks of them with Rinko's mother 🤔

Rinko had scoffed as she leaned her chin on her hands, resting her elbows on her mother’s hospital bed. The endless mirror she was so used to seeing in her eyes had started to fade slowly.
“A person is a whole person already, Mom,” she’d said, watching her mother roll her eyes. “Can’t exactly be in pieces-”
“It’s a metaphor, my gem,” Yuzuki cut her off, playfully flicking her nose. “We give pieces of ourselves to every person we love, sweetheart. Fun little additions to those we love for them to carry with them. And we carry pieces of them with us as well. You gave me a piece I never knew I needed the very first time I saw you.”
The matcha and chocolate taiyaki sat uneaten in front of her, even though her mother had mentioned craving it.
“And I’ll tell you a secret, darling: I- I’ve given you all of mine, now. So take care of it for me, won’t you-?”
“Don’t,” she’d begged, tears falling as her mother wiped her cheeks. “Mom, don’t-”

“What about the parts you’ve taken?” Rinko asked, glaring at her. “What- what about the parts of me that you’re taking with you? How- how am I supposed to- to be whole without you?”
“You don’t need me for that, darling,” she replied immediately. “And you never have, my gem.”
She was wrong. It was one of the only times Rinko had ever thought that about something her mother said. But she’d felt it to her very soul that her mother was wrong. She needed her.
Yuzuki scooted over and patted the bed next to her, prompting Rinko to climb in beside her as she wrapped her arms around her. Her embrace was colder than Rinko was used to, and weaker. But she snuggled into it anyway, feeling her heart breaking in her chest as she listened to the labored breaths.

I’ve loved every minute of your series, especially Gojo’s POV. Fantastic job!
I absolutely zeroed in on that box the first mention of it, I was like this boy is gone. He’s done. He’s whipped for life. And watching him beat himself up over his being a dumbass (for real, for how smart he is, he can be just as stupid) just confirmed how much he loves her!
I have a few questions? About the job for Sukuna’s finger, did she know? Maybe I missed that? Or did she realize after the fact, and didn’t bring it up because she knew how bad it’d look? And WTF are the Zenins wanting with a finger???? They cause too much shit…
Also, on another note, did Rinko’s mom know or suspect about her relationship with Gojo? I don’t know what I just thought of it…
Sorry for rambling! Just wanted you to know that you are doing a wonderful job with this series, even when you are doubting yourself, everything all comes together beautifully ❤️

The box was so important because, as I've said before, he knows that the challenge with Rinko will be convincing her he's serious. He knows that if he can convince her that he's serious, she will feel the same way. But the problem, was that after having the damn box, all of these lil suspicious things be happening and he thought he'd been bamboozled and was afraid he'd let himself be. And technically he did 🙃
I said to an ask earlier today, Rinko genuinely thinks he is the dumbest man alive. She really think he doesn't realize that all the things he does are what you do in relationships. And she's accepted that. Because before he realized he was in love with her, he was the dumbest man alive. Because he was a dumbass who didn't realize that all the shit is stuff you do in relationships. So Rinko ain't wrong for thinking he's a dumb lil shit 🙃
Sukuna's finger will be discussed! They're going to talk about it. And why would they want it? Keep it away from Gojo, for one, to keep him from feeding more to Yuuji (they sent her on that job before Yuuji died) remember, she finished her end of the deal before Yuuji died. Leverage, their own gain, money. The Zenins are assholes, who knows what they could be up to.
Did Rinko's mom suspect anything with Gojo?
Yuzuki knew that there was something there. But she never met Gojo, and she never saw Rinko with Gojo. She just knew that Rinko was happy when she spent time with him.

“Pass me the bench scraper, darling.”
She pursed her lips as she passed the tool to her mother, watching as she expertly sliced the cookies from the cold log of dough. Working in the bakery more often had helped to take her mind off of things.
Helping out during a rush was never the same as the relaxed early mornings they had before they opened. She’d come to look forward to the quiet moments again. The pot of hot tea soothed her mind as she sipped idly, listening to the consistent thud of her mother cutting the cookie dough.
“How was dinner with your father?” Yuzuki asked, her gently voice melding with the methodical tapping as she cut the butter cookies.
It was a monthly occurrence now. Her father had agreed to take turns where they met, and it had been her turn to visit Tokyo again the previous weekend. She’d finally reached the point where the train ride didn’t feel like she was ripping her chest open with the memory of-
“Not so bad,” she admitted reluctantly. “Naoya’s still a little shit. I won’t change my opinion on that. But Naobito can be… tolerable, I guess.”
“Well,” Yuzuki grinned mischievously, wiping a bit of flour on her nose. “Noaya has always been a little shit, darling.”
“Mom,” Rinko gasped dramatically. “I can’t believe you’d use that language in your bakery!”
They both dissolved into giggles, completely ignoring that she had sworn first. She leaned on her mother when they finally calmed down, their chests heaving as they caught their breath.
It was almost five in the morning. They would be opening in a little over an hour, and the scent of fresh bread had already begun to fill the air. Her stomach growled at the thought of the croissants her mother would half-heartedly scold her for swiping.
An overwhelming warmth filled her chest as her mother’s arms wrapped around her.
“Hey, Mom?”
“Hm?” Her mother ran her hand through her hair gently, her giggling starting back up when the latter scrunched her face at getting flour in her hair. “Yes, my gem?”
“I love you,” she replied quietly, hugging her tight. “I dunno what I’d do without you.”
“I love you too, sweetheart,” her mother hummed in response, her grin widening. “And I hope you never have to find out.”

Idk why i can picture a big dramatic moment where gojo and Rinko think they've betrayed eachother, and he's pointing a gun at her heart and she's got her stilleto against his throat after a long fight, both are injured and bleeding and have tears in their eyes and gojo says "told you to not bring a knife to a gun fight"

So, they won't, at any point, think that they've betrayed each other in that sense. It's gonna be pretty intense, tbh. But there will never be a question of where loyalties lie.
To give a lil spoiler, Rinko is going to be taken. Their enemies are going to see her as a weak link. They're going to think that she'll crack under enough pressure. But Kurisaki Rinko is a badass, so she's going to tell them to fuck themselves until the end.
The thing is, though, when she's taken, they're on bad terms because Gojo has been an asshole to her.
So when they finally get her back, after she's been tortured and put through hell, she's just gonna be pretty numb and cold toward him. And it will force Gojo to acknowledge that he really cares about her. The problem? She won't believe him. She's already very jaded when it comes to affection. She doesn't believe it.
In fact, as Gojo sits next to her while she's in the hospital recovering, she's going to tell him that she hasn't believed affection from a yakuza since she watched Toji kill her mother. (this will literally be how he finds out that Toji killed Yuzuki)
