NICE I WAS HOPING FOR 8!!!! tbh in my heart all the characters i like are aro BUT there are some i feel Really strongly about and thats flowey and femt (unsurprising) i feel like. flowey is probably understandable. given his. Everything. but with femt i feel like it just fits with his character. guy who hates "normal" and seems to struggle to bond with anyone and considers himself a freak. also whatever THIS was

"whats ur type" "i dont know i dont CARE just. be funny when ur suffering i guess." i love femt hes SO funny i think flowey and femt are the only characters ever

some other characters i like that i think are aro are haruka kokonose, mahiru shiina (milgram), and mr itto genshin. for haruka i think the fact that he feels so isolated from everyone else and how he gets Weird about the few friendships he has And how he desperately tries to understand what friendship Is is so. ohhh i love him.. and mahiru is just. the obsession with love and her trying to Define love and how she seems to think being in a relationship will fix her somehow. i have a really specific relationship with being aro and these characters just kinda Hit what its like to feel that way as an aro person <3 love them dearly. also i do not have any reasons for itto i just feel it in my heart <3

and 18!! i tend to avoid shipping mostly cuz i guess i dont really care for it?? it doesnt really make sense to me and i much prefer to explore character analysis and how traumatized characters react to those around them. if i Do end up shipping anyone its almost always in qpr way

YUUTA SAKURAI SECTION!!!! i never get to talk about him but this is a PERFECT time to talk about him. everyone watch net juu no susume IMMEDIATELY its one of my most favorite shows and severely underrated. i think yuuta is such an interesting character. so much of his character is him wanting to get closer to people but he has an emotional wall up both because of his parents deaths and because of his Various Past Experiences involving people wanting him romantically and him not at all feeling that way.

i really like how they write his misunderstanding of how hes perceived and that hes convinced that hes going to get in the way of others relationships... thinking about the idea of people wanting to take up as little space as possible because they feel unworthy of being loved and i wanna shake his head and be like NO everyone LIKES YOU SO MUCH!!!

i think his relationship with moriko is really special because theyre the only people they feel they can truly rely on. both of them have been so lonely and i just think a lot about how they both put so much importance on their friendship and partnership it just means a lot to me that the romance aspect feels more like an afterthought to their friendship because i rarely see that... i also really like how this handles the idea of wanting to be seen as Someone Else because firstly i like it in an aro way but also this show is. so good for trans people

i just think a lot about the way he understands his relationships around him and how he hates being lonely and very rarely has people understand him in the way he wants i just love yuuta so much hes one of my most favorite characters <3 on that note i think him and moriko. they are so qpr to me

imagine i have my head in my hands i am desperately begging people watch this show its only 11 episodes i love it so much... thank u for the ask these were fun to answer :)

I've wanted to talk about this show since I watched the first episode, but I couldn't find the time. Now we're at episode 3, and guess what? It's pretty great still. Kaori has been at the helm of the whole series at Studio Gokumi, showcasing the studio's in-house staff in a very strong way. Kaori's approach to adapting this series is fantastic; the show is very colorful, especially in its character designs. There are so many fun reactions and expressions that I just can't help but love. It's been a lot of fun so far, and Kaori's expressive and colorful direction is a great match for the series' character designer, Takahiro Sakai. You might have already seen his designs in Yuki Yuna is a Hero, or perhaps you've watched the recent Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon (I know I didn't). The designs are very flexible and simple, which works great with the more expressive moments. I mean, it's just so cute, and when combined with the color design, they really stand out to me as a big selling point of this anime.

The story itself is somewhat comparable to the recent Bocchi the Rock, if I had to mention something to compare, if you're a fan of shows dealing with social anxiety and featuring fun visuals, I would definitely recommend giving this a try.

Since the title does say this is a write-up on episode 3, I should probably start talking about episode 3. This is actually the first episode so far that Kaori didn't have a hand in from a boarding perspective, but the expressiveness and reactions were still present in this episode. While the usage of them and the colors weren't as bold as Kaori's usual style, I believe Shinichirou Ueda did a really good job, especially for the more serious or emotional moments of the episode.

Kaori relies on a lot of contrast or bright and simple elements over detailed backgrounds to make things pop. Every time they're a bit quirky or making a funny face, you'll notice it. Ueda's approach is a bit more cohesive, and I couldn't really find a word for it until I talked to my friend this morning, who mentioned that he noticed it, and he's absolutely right. Ueda takes a more environmental approach compared to Kaori, incorporating more variety in distance and layout size. For instance, he uses long empty halls to emphasize the distance Umika must cross to connect with Raimon. When Umika runs during the night, it's subtly matched by the soft stars in the sky. In contrast, Kaori might have been a bit more heavy-handed in how brightly the stars shine or how much they pop out. I think Ueda's approach is different in that he likes to make the entire scene a bit more unified in its look rather than having one element stand out more than the others. I like both Kaori and Ueda's styles very much, and I don't have a strong preference between the two. I just wanted to mention the differences I see in their approaches.

Returning to the production as a whole for a moment, I completely forgot to mention that, aside from the aesthetic direction and character designs, the show animates quite well. It's a very pleasing-looking show, at least to me. The production is very solid, and I think credit should be given to the talented in-house animators at Gokumi and the animation producer, Kenta Washikazi. He has only held this role for two shows prior to this one (Yuki Yuna is a Hero: The Great Mankai Chapter and Seton Academy), both of which also had solid production, so it's clear he knows what he's doing. He has brought on people like Kouta Sera, who appears to be fairly heavily involved in this show as a key animator so far, and he's extremely talented. For instance, he did the cut of Umiko floating up in the opening. It's a perfect mix of in-house staff and the talent Washikazi decided to bring on.

Thank you for giving me an excuse to gush about JJK and Dorohedoro! I'll cover drhdr in a seperate post to not make this one too long.

favourite "male" character: Kenjaku (putting them here because they currently have a male body) They are basically everything I like in a villain. Intelligent, funny, not sadistic but still cruel, bit of a Mad Scientist/Doctor, well calculated plan, ganre-savvy, queer. What I especially love is how they are such a threat without needing to resort to direct violence. No big flashy shonen battle. They pull the strings in the background and let others do the dirty work for them. Just saying the right thing to the right people was enough to push Tokyo into chaos. They're all about fight smart not hard. I could go on for hours but just gonna leave it with, I'm looking forward to seeing how their connection to Yuuji will cause conflict in the future.

favourite female character: Uro Takako Crazy how she has been here for less than 10 ch and she's already in my top 3. Can't wait to seeing more of her past and how her conflict with Yuuta will develop. That strife for individuality is what I really admire about her. She has been given a 2nd chance in life and she's gonna make the most out of it, become what she was never allowed to be. If we come down to it, she isn't that different to the protagonists, they basically have the same goal (survive the CG), Yuuta was just being an idiot when talking to her. I would like to know what she plans to do when the CG is over. What are her new goals in life.

least favourite character: There aren't any characters I really hate. There's assholes like Naoya but he isn't relevant enough to have strong feelings about him. I would say out of all of them I like Geto the least. He is a very well written character and seeing his downfall adds a lot to the story, I just don't like him as a person. And as an antagonist he commited the gravest sin of having a stupid plan. Killing ~70% of the world population for the way they were born? Aside from morals, it wouldn't even fix the issue he had with jujutsu society and there will always be non-sorcerers born from sorcerers. He could've gone after Tengen and the higher-ups with Gojo but no... Good thing he lost his brain, he wasn't using it anyway. And that whole monkey talk, ugh. If he comes back in some form, I hope Maki kills him again. Thanks to Sakurai's va he is very entertaining in the movie though.

prettiest character: Gojo in the anime but to such an extreme that it goes into uncanny valley at times. The actual prettiest one would be...Mei Mei? She's a horrible person but she does look very good.

funniest character: Takaba Kenjaku probably. I like their nasty humor. "I don't remember taking out your brains too" is still one of my favourite lines. And that smile they gave Wasuke

favourite arc: I've been loving basically everything since the CG started but my fave would be Perfect Preparation. It has so many good moments. The Zenin Massacre, Tengen reveal, background on Kenjaku and their plan/relationship w Tengen, Yaga's death and the information about Cursed Corpses, the introduction of Kirara and Hakari. My only complaint is that Yaga's death and the Zenin Clan could've been build up better but that's due to Akutami's burnout, so I understand. Hopefully the anime will ellaborate on it w e.g. the information about the Zenin Clan we got from the Volume specials. It would be really interesting to see Maki's time in the Kukuru unit at some point in the manga or anime.

favourite chapter/moment: The chapter I've read the most would be ch 145. So much juicy information. There are a lot of great moments in other chapters but this is the one I come back to most often to read it from start to finish. As for favourite moment, the wolf-rabbit chase scene with Yuuji and Mahito. So chilling. The look in Yuuji's eyes, damn. Can't wait to see that animated.

favourite ship: Kenjaku/Jin In exorcism movies I always thought "why not just talk to the demon?" Jin took it a whole mile further and married the demon. Agreed to make the antichrist with the demon... I really want to know more about their relationship. Jin is definitely sussy. Kenjaku isn't a good actor, so everyone who willingly stays with them for 9+ months must have some problems. There is also the great horror potential that comes with slowly realizing that your partner has been replaced by someone else. Or that your new girlfriend has jars w aborted fetuses in her basement.

favourite family ship: Honestly, the more we learn about Yuuji's (extended) family the messier it gets and I love that. As for family-like relationships: Jogo's group. It's heartwarming to see them play, argue and hang out like normal people. Really got me when they all -except for Mahito - met in the afterlife(?) again.

favourite friend ship: Yuuji and Megumi The care and trust they have for each other despite having differing views in certain regards is really refreshing to see. I'm glad they aren't just rivals and I hope they won't be forced to fight each other but with Sukuna having plans for Megumi...

worst ship: Anything along the lines of Gojo/Yuuji, Higuruma/Yuuji or Gojo/Megumi. Really wish those ships weren't so popular

Aww I finally saw the show, Recovery Of An MMO Junkie, and ahh I loved it! The two main characters, Moriko and Sakurai, are in ways very relatable so I appreciate they both aged around an age I know personally. I love the writing of how they first met, their friendship, both online and off, and where it leads...💕 And I really liked their mutual friend, Koiwai, yeah he was great <3

Finishing the last episode, it was nice and a relief to feel where the start of their romance is heading, so I like it was subtle, and loved they were awkward around each other a lot of the time...They’re really perfect for each other : )
