!!! Stewie Griffin was definitely based off Rick from The Young Ones but why does no one talk about this as if it's some super secret classified piece of information like if we talk about it something bad will happen 😅

Ok so this is probably gonna be a niche post but like... for context, my parents are British but I grew up outside the UK, and they would introduce me to a lot of British shows and I grew up surrounded by that type of humour. Anyway, one of those shows was 'The Young Ones' and in highschool I was completely OBSESSED with this show and no one else I knew was into it, and none of my friends got into it with me, so basically all my life just me and my brother have fangirled over it together.
I only just found out that Nigel Planer who played Neil from that show is frickin' John Fairfax in Lockwood & Co! Like, I get that actors play all different characters, obviously. But it's so uncommon for me to have crossovers between my weird hyperfixation shows and now I also have this strange fondness for one of the show villains. Neil, my sweet, sad, babygirl is now Fairfax, the villainous wretch and yet now I'm so happy for him!! (and a bit annoyed with myself that I didn't recognize him at first but I mostly blame the lack of long flowing hair and pout)
Long post to say some basic nonsense but maybe someone can relate?? Also, if you haven't seen or heard of 'The Young Ones' I recommend it (of course), it's an absurdist social satire comedy. If you're into The Mighty Boosh, Black Books, that type of thing you'll probably like it.

So, you’ve cast Nicholas Hoult to be your villain? Congratulations!
Now first thing’s first: cut that boy’s hair
Short hair = shorthand for evil
