Do you have any ideas/headcannons about Renee/Andrew/Neil ?

This is the best question anyone has ever asked me because absolutely yes I do. Ill keep this to [mostly] canon compliant ones for simplicity. Apologies in advance

Renee and Andrew started dating relatively soon after he went to Palmetto and told no one about it. For Renee it was mostly to avoid judgement and for Andrew it was because he didnt care about other peoples opinions. Wymack, Abby and Bee know though. Bee because Andrew told her, Abby because Renee told her and Wymack because Wymack knows everything

I always still pictured Andrew as being biromantic but still not sexually attracted to women, and Renee was saving herself for marriage ((after she was born again obviously))

When Neil appeared Andrew was immediately infatuated, but still very suspiscious, and Renee was also warry, the two of them had many deep discussions on the roof about whether they could trust him or not

((Imagine a world where Renee sometimes went with the monsters to Colombia, and also Andrew hadnt stopped Nikky from making advances on Neil for this one to make sense)) Renee was there for Neils first night at Columbia and she was the one who told Andrew that Nikky kissed Neil unconsensually ((no Nikky slander in this post, i am well aware my opinions of this man are niche)) and it was after this that Andrew made a conscious effort to get Nikky to stop making Neil uncomfy

Renee was the first person that Andrew let hug him after he left the Spear household, it was during his first year midterms, he was stressed and riddled with medicated anxiety. Renee asked if she could give him a hug because it helps her to calm down and after that Andrew started to breathe easier and decided that, when asked and with granted permission ofc, he kind of liked hugs

Andrew figures out that he is head over heels for Neil pretty early on and has a conversation with Renee about it. She tells him that she also seems to have feelings for Neil and they decide that they are going to slowly approach him and try to figure him out. Cut to the convo at the store where Renee is getting Andrew a bday gift and Neil is there, Renee tells Neil some details of their situation ((being that Andrew is gay but that they are still together because they have a very deep bond and sex isnt important to either of them)) And Neil is confused but understands and supports. Renee tells Andrew that she genuinely can not figure out what is up with Neil and Andrew decides to leave it alone ((in Andrew fashion which equates to calling Neil family, giving him a key and calling it home, letting Neil drive his car, putting Neil on his insurance for his new car, giving Neil an entire new wardrobe- you know, normal shit))

Also in this world Renee was the one who has Andrews other key, not Nikky

Renee and Neil actually start formulating a relationship while Andrew is in easthaven (("you took his car and now your taking his girl" or whatever it was specifically that Nikky said i cant remember atm)) And when Neil goes to the nest she knows as well as Kevin. She tries to stop him but after he tells her it is to protect Andrew she nods solemnly and tells him to take hers/andrews knives to keep himself safe

When Neil gets out Renee picks him up from Wymacks apartment and is angry and upset and that is when she kisses him, gently as to not hurt him buy fierce enough to get her point across. She breaks down and tells him everything and says that she never should have let him go. Neil is stunned and doesnt know how to react. This is when the upperclassmen ((who were all scattered around because theyre in Renees dorm room)) find out about Andrew and Renee

When Andrew comes back and is very obviously traumatized Neil decides not to push the issue and to let Andrew be the one to approach him

Renee starts going to Columbia with them weekly now that their secret is out. Her and Neil dance while Andrew watches protectively. Renee is still a very traumatized individual but she has softer edges about pda and physical touch. Her and Neil kiss in the crowd and Andrew realizes he is done for

"Doesnt mean i wouldnt blow you" happens in front of Renee instead of Kevin and she is proud ((if not a tiny bit shocked))

Andrew and Neils first kiss on the rooftop is short and Andrew talks to Renee who assures him that Neil would have said something if he was hurt and Andrew, who didnt know he was capable of regret, finds himself regretting it all

Neil and Andrew start working on communicating, because all good relationships have communication even the "not relationships"

Right up until Neil starts getting spooky count downs and ominous bloody messages from papa dearest, then communication is a little limited

Andrew and Renee know that there is something going on with Neil and are worried but he wont say anything about it and is acting normal, if not happier

When Baltimore happens he tells Andrew "thank you, you were amazing" and he tells Renee "get to the bus safe" before he disappears into the crowd ominously

Renee didnt stop Andrew from choking the life out of Kevin and called Jean in a blind panic to see if he knew anything

Kevin started speaking and she reasoned that Jean didnt know anything

Renee was just as angry as Andrew and all but told him to kill Kevin before she reigned herself in, clutching her cross and praying that her sweet, dumbass redhead would get home safe

Instead of wymack ((mostly because I never saw the physics of that one)) it was Renee who was handcuffed to Andrew and neither of them slowed down the second they realized where Neil was

Neil fell into Renees chest while Andrew checked his injuries and Renee about lost her damn mind when Allison mentioned the bet but kept her calm because Neil was there and he was safe

The FBI relented and let the two of them tag along with Neil and when he signed his name, "Neil Josten" he took a deep breath and allowed Nathaneil to die peacefully in his mind, because Neil was free in a way Nathaneil never could be

Renee understood that look, Natalie had to do the same, tucked away in a corner and put to rest in a mental grave. They shared a look of deep understanding

After everything is said and done its still andrew and neil and Renee and Andrew and neil and Renee and all three of them combined and their special and happy and they keep each other sane

During the girls last year there is endless teasing and quips made about the three of them but they couldnt care less because its their last year and they are going to make the most of it

Andrew and Aaron have it out and both of them decide to chose their "nothings" over each other, and because of this Renee takes Aarons place in the monsters

Andrew and Aaron start building their relationship from the ground up, and its hard, but he has both his *everythings* there to keep him sane

Andrew and Renee change their last names to "josten" because they fought so hard for that name and technically three people cant get married

Speaking of marriage, Dan and Matt get married in Dans last year and Renee and Allison are bridesmaids, Neil and Andrew are groomsmen. The three of them dance and congratulate the happy couple

They win championships that year and, mostly just to fuck with the crowd, Neil and Renee each kiss Andrews cheek right before they walk off court. Its fun and silly and they celebrate afterwards and care so deeply for each other

When Renee leaves it hits hard, she calls and texts as much as she can but its hard. Neil loses a little bit of his spark and Andrew cant help but miss their other third

Neil and Andrew start sparing and essentially dont leave each others side

Matt is also having a time of it with the girls being gone, and during this year its that Matt moves into Andrew and Neils dorm officially

Kevin transfers to the Trojans with Jean and Jeremy and is happier there, and theyre all happy for him

During Andrews last year Neil all but loses his mind

Renee officially retires from exy that year and moves back to Palmetto state to help with the transition because she knows its hitting both of them pretty hard

Andrew is anxious and cant decide whether he wants to keep playing exy, or go straight into law

Neil doesnt know what he is going to do for a year without either of them and is constantly in a state of panic

Both Andrew and Renee try their hardest to keep the rabbit sane because they know how scary the thought of being alone is and Neil will absolutely never be alone

When Andrew graduates Renee and Neil make one of those obnoxious signs and all the foxes show up for support and its bittersweet but mostly amazing

They also win championships that year again, Andrew locked the goal down for the entire game and wymack was so proud, even though he only had one of his kids left in the coup ((I would say nest but considering the fandom...))

Neils fifth year is hard

Andrew decided to retire his exy racket and go straight into law, finally selling the Columbia house and getting a better place about an hour outside Palmetto

Renee joins the peace corps ((to be honest I only kind of know what they do so bear with me apologies)) and is overseas for a little over two years

Neil goes home to Andrew every weekend ((their partying days behind them and their movie marathon days ahead)) and both of them call Renee every day

When Neil graduates Renee gets leave for a weekend and flys in to celebrate with them

Its one of the best weekends they had ever had

When Renee retires ((from what I can tell its usually two years of required service but correct me if Im wrong)) the three of them move in together in their little home outside Palmetto and are happy

Neil plays professionally for about 10 years, Renee starts teaching, Andrew is a lawyer

Its perfect

Andrew and Renee still spar, and Neil still runs every morning

Renee makes a pot of coffee before he gets back and they never run out of sugar despite andrews best attempts

Renee teaches Neil how to make cookies because Andrew burns every batch he touches almost

They watch all the foxes on TV and rep Allisons athlesiure brand every where they go essentially

The foxes have Thanksgiving all together at their house every year because as Wymack gets older flying is bad for his heart

Its the off season of the year Neil finally retired ((now a math professor)) that they announce to their family that Renee is pregnant

Andrew is terrified he is going to be a bad father, Neil doesnt know where to start and Renee has faith that it is all going to be okay

They never check to see whos kid it is biologically ((though the odds are its probably neils)) because it doesnt matter

Their prescious twins are brought into the world with three parents, four grandparents and more aunts and uncles than any one kid can count

Renee was often sick while she was pregnant and neil researched every method to help with nausea possible

He got Kevin ((who also eventually retired from exy and because a sports dietitian)) to help him find recipes that she could actually eat

Andrew was very protective while she was carrying and if she even so much as looked at a door handle it became a race between him and neil

Her water broke while her and Neil were coming home from a long day of teaching, Andrew was still at the office

Neil took on andrews approach to driving during their trip to the hospital and held her hand every step of the way

Andrew got there just in the nick of time, pressing a kiss to her forehead and taking her other hand, making eye contact with neil as she pushed out the first of the twins

It was a short labor and each of the boys held a baby, foreheads touching and ankles crossed, as Renee took a much needed nap

All of the foxes flew/drove in to see the babies and the three of them

It was a special time

It was surprisingly Neil who taught their kids how to bake cookies, the same recipie that Renee taught him

Andrew and neil get breakfast tacos every Saturday morning at their favorite little food truck while Renee and the kids sleep

Neil goes to church with Renee and their kids every Sunday, while Andrew works

He can never fully heal from his religious trauma, but he knows its important to Renee and he knows that Neil has found a comfort in God as well ((i can never decide if I headcannon Neil as Christian or atheist but today its christian))

A few months before the twins were born Andrew stopped wearing his armbands all together, the knives having long since made their disappearance

And he, in an age appropriate way ofc, teaches their kids what his scars were and reminds them to talk to someone and never feel like their only resort is to hurt themselves

They love each other so dearly and they love their kids so much and its special and happy and they love their lives

When the three of them die their cremated together and the twins each take a smaller urn for their respective mantles to hold

do you think it's transgender of karen to identify as female despite being a computer?

we arbitrarily assign genders to computers and robots all of the time in real life, so the idea that a sapient one could have a gender at all isnt inherently transgender imho - because if we can assign a gender to the computer, the computer may not necessarily disagree with what they were assigned. i only find it particularly transgender if the computer wasn't specifically assigned a gender and comes to identify with one anyways, or if it was assigned a gender and found themselves disagreeing with the assignment. or more metaphorical contexts, but metaphors can get complicated so i won't go into that.

HOWEVER, in the case of KAREN, specifically? i DO think of her as a trans woman, yes.

the series has had multiple contradictory origins for karen, whether it be in when she was made or how she came into plankton's life, in various different episodes. so how canon-compliant the idea is may be debatable and depends entirely on how you choose to interpret her character and her origins; whether she was completely programmed by plankton himself, or she was a product that plankton bought.

i've made two prior posts about this which may be of interest regarding this topic, but;

her shell is known to be and recognized as a wifeomatic - a brand name line of computers designed to be wives. if she was bought as a wifeomatic, that may imply she would be cis by computer standards if accepted as her origin - however in friend or foe she came into plankton's life as a security system plankton bought as a child for his clubhouse, and in kamp koral she came into his life as a calculator he bought as a young adult to assist him in his work, both of which suggest she didn't begin her life as a wifeomatic but rather became one. which would be the computer equivalent of transitioning in that context. so. depends entirely on your preference in her origins and interpretation of those origins.

myself, i find myself often contradicting myself in my interpretation and preference for her origins; however, i am otherwise consistent in my interpretation of karen being a transgender woman :P

it could also do well to ask how long/when schools in japan generally start and end their school years. i believe high school exams start on a certain month as well

from what i can tell from cursory googling the school year begins in april (which i do have marked on the calendar as the earliest date it could have started), they go on summer break from late july to late august, winter break is late december to early january, and spring break is late march to early april (when the new year starts).

there was a piece of evidence i nearly added relating to summer break before deciding to strike it since it's from a. from an omake b. cannot have happened with the timeline we have in the series. there's an omake where the body improvement club comes back from summer break and their club has to get an average score of 60% on an exam to avoid getting disbanded (sagawa carries the entire group and they narrowly get a 61%). i didnt include this because mob isnt part of the group and his score isnt counted despite the fact that the body improvement club had just formed when mob joined it. is it possible that they formed the club, went on summer break, is instantly threatened with being disbanded despite just forming, took their exams, then got their room + mob? yes. is it more likely that this omake was just set up for a gag and isnt really canon compliant. also yes.

shark puppy songs that were written but never made it onto their albums

im a HUGE fan of this au and the plethora of content for it so i wanted to contribute

big brother (just one time) - written by bill, one of the first songs he wrote. similar to “everything’s alright” performed by laura shigahara. the process of writing it was very therapeutic, but when they tried to actually perform it, everyone got too emotional. served as a precursor to “georgie”

my father killed jesus (not me) - written by stan around the time of kill maine maine kills, very…ambitious. he wanted to incorporate a lyre in place of a guitar. similar vibe as “pas de cheval” by panic! at the disco. to make matters worse, he incorporated hebrew lyrics for the others to sing in the background but he didnt think their pronunciation was good enough no matter how much he made them practice. in the end it was just a little too out of place considering this was only their second album, but it still holds a special place in stan’s heart.

rocket pop - written by richie, think “el scorcho” by weezer. he wrote it while eddie was away for two weeks and he was feeling lonely. he intended to write a love song but it ended up just being about how hot eddie is. in the end it was just Too Horny, even for shark puppy.

battery acid - written by eddie, very heavily queen inspired. a super catchy and well-crafted anthemic ballad, but eddie neglected to consider the fact that their own vocal ranges were not as impressive as those of freddie mercury and roger taylor, so they were unfortunately physically unable to perform it

but the yo-yo master did not answer - written by bev, just a short and fun surf punk song recounting bev and richies first meeting and expressing how grateful she is for him. she wrote it really quickly a few days before richies birthday. because of intense weather, they had to reschedule one of their shows, and the only other date that worked for the venue was richies birthday. she taught it to the others and they performed it for him at the show as a surprise. it was a special moment, so they havent performed it since

january embers - written by ben. he got really excited by the positive response to “winter fire” and ended up writing a song that was…nearly identical, trying to get the same response. no matter how much his friends reassure him of his worth, he still subconsciously seeks their approval whenever he can get it. they end up not using the song because it is so similar to their other song, but it leads to him and bev working together on more songs as bev tries to help him realize his other song writing strengths

baby shark - arranged by mike. he has always preferred supporting his friends from behind he scenes, so he tends to write the music for their songs rather than lyrics. he did however arrange a fancy rendition of the baby shark song complete with a rockin bass solo. they use it as a warm up song before rehearsals

Hey

What if Emily was a demon?

Like what if she was related to Beej and her original name was, say, Bellatrix?

And her curse was that she had to live out a human life, actually happy and serene and hopeful, while knowing that it was going to be cut off from her at the moment she was happiest? that she would suffer and die when her life was the best?

She'd always be paranoid, watching over her shoulder always.But that fear would go against the curse, her human life had to be actually happy and hopeful.She had to genuinely be happy, to feel good and nice throughout her life.She couldnt be scared or paranoid at all times, otherwise that fear would bring in something thatd hurt her.Maybe her family would die, maybe she'd get attacked.But she wouldnt have any way to stop it.

She'd be afraid of being afraid when she isnt allowed to be afraid and she isnt allowed to be afraid of being afraid.

Then finally the time that she manages to successfully break the curse by living happy hopeful life, aka the life she has with Charles and Lydia, she gets cancer and dies after.When she is happiest, something good happened before her death that made her the happiest that she would be in her life.

Maybe when Charles proposed to her and they got married or when she had Lydia, either way at that time the curse would have caused her to grow a bit of cancer that slowly takes over.And she wouldnt even know until the late stages, until she dies.

But she had a kid.Lydia, who at this point would be half demon.And so far, all demons seem to have a curse.

So Lydia's curse would also be her mom's death and having to deal with it.The curse would have been intended to make Lydia get to the roof, to jump off and fall to her death and repeatedly do that until she gets through the curse and survives.

Then Beetlejuice came around and fucked it up the first time around so she survives without even knowing she was cursed, aka the entire musical happens as it did.

Post musical, beetlejuice comes back and lives with them and realizes one, Lydia reminds him of someone, although he doesnt remember who, and two that something about Lydia is off.

Even compared to his short time interacting with the deetz so far, maybe a couple weeks after the musical, she seems different.She acts different, much more chaotic (like she is in that beautiful sound for instance.She is far more chaotic and willing to harm people (like scaring Sky, the clone getting his arms ripped off, etc) than the others).

Until finally, the tips of her hair start turning green and Beetlejuice realizes Lydia looks a lot like his old sister, who had to go deal with her curse at the same time beetlejuice did after they grew up and Juno kicked them out and finally has the deetz try summoning his sister who he calls Bellatrix.

And it turns out that Bellatrix is Emily.That Bellatrix has now been wandering around in the netherworld, looking for an exit in the final part of her curse, where either someone from before she died in her life that she suceeded the first part, aka Lydia and Charlesb summons her or she is doomed to walk the netherworld alone and lost until she finds a way out to repeat the first part of the curse again.

And then things happen.Shenagins with Lydia being part demon, Emily, Charles and Delia get to work things out, etc. etc.

And yes the musical would happen without any difference because I make everything as canon compliant as possible because I can.

Imagine if Lydia can see the maitlands and beetlejuice because she herself is half demon.

Also this makes Beetlejuice Lydia's uncle which fits really well.

Im goldenbeetle shipper whos been here a while now and is a proud drinker of loving barbara maitland juice not gonna deny our community has some issues mostly in the past with leaving babs out of fics and art and focus more on adam and beej as well as more adult content. But this is something myslef and many people IN OUR OWN COMMUNITY has been speaking out about for a long ass time now you can search the tags for posts adressing leaving Barbara out including by myself so jot that down, so we dont need b**tleb*bes who barley know anything about our community telling us about our content especially when some of y'all openly mock our ship and made it clear you do not care about it, thanks. many of us especially more recently add barbara in, ive seen so much goldenbeetle content that includes babs including again my own content, ive purposefully drawn solo babs and beej so if you're saying there no content that includes her or just beej and her you're very VERY wrong, come to me or most shippers we can provide lots of golden beetle content with babs and even just babs and beetlejuice. Not to mention a few of your own b**tleb*bes have made beetlejuice and adam content and usually leaves Barbara out and focuses just on adam and beej but go off i guess lol.

Many people draw barbara also draw her based off her actresses' who are both women who don't have very large breasts on top of that gena davis' dress for Barbara did not reveal much, kerry's showing a bit more with a deep neckline still covered alot of her body. Many people arent drawing babs with big knockers and sexy clothes because were trying to repress her sexuality and make her dress like she's in the handmaids tale, shame women for being sexy, its because barbara and adam are canonically a white bred suburban couple who are "vanilla" its their personailty, i drew babs with smaller breasts and more "canon compliant" for a while before i changed it up. Obviously you CAN draw barabra and even adam as sexy and babs with big tiddies, i draw barbara with larger breasts now, and show her cleavage and I've been doing this for a while and i have draw PLENTY of sexy and pin up style babs as well adult content with her beetlejuice, and adam, I've also posted it on here so again y'all dont know what you're talking about. I know others who have drawn sexy barbara and barbara with larger breasts just because its not common and YOU haven't seen it doesn't mean its not out there.

Have y'all seen art of anyone oc's like including self ship oc's with beej?? many of them are sexy and/or have pretty bug breasts (not complaini g btw yall are doing gr8 i love your oc's) or other adult female characters in the show I've seen of art thats sexy of miss Argentina and delia as well as art of them with larger breasts and dressed more "sexy" because that's their character, dress more revealing and prefer to be "sexy". Ive also never been attacked or seen any other "anti" attack a creator for making sexy art or big breasted versions of female characters that are canonically adults in beetlejuice, this includes myself who has openly posted suggestive content of babs even on here infact Ive seen people actually like that stuff they just don't make it themselves so claiming "no one is allowed" to draw barbara sexy or adult content of her is also a huge load.

Not to get too personal but speaking from experience as a person who developed at a very early age i got my first real bra at 7 or 8, had D-DDD breasts throughout middle school and highschool, currently has g-h cup breasts, has been overly sexualized my entire life by people of all ages because of this, and also deals with ALOT of dysphoria because of It am A-ok with representation of women with larger breasts, including suggestive/sexual art of them, women of all body types including their breasts but that's the thing i highly doubt y'all care about large breasted women I've seen the argument when talking about the over sexualiztion of large breasts

"well you dont care about women with big breasts we exist too!"

"Dont erase our body breasts!"

I get it! But its pretty clear this argument is usually only being presented to tokenize us and then someone will draw a big tiddied lady with wide as birthing hips, a dumpster truck ass, back that looks like it son the verge of breaking, and a waist that varies from size skinny to "holy sh*t did all your organs get sucked out???" If yall really care about women with big breasts draw women of differing body types with big breasts, draw them chubby, fat, ACTUALLY curvy, give them stretch marks, a double chin, ect. You fucking cowards say were mysoginists for "not giving barbara big tiddies"

Most of b**tleb*abe adult lydia art looks like a mix of jessica rabbit, elvira, and morticia addams with the same 2 or 3 body types over and over again, infact ive run into plenty of b**tleb*bes art where lydia has either has big tits or like a B-ish cup ("aged up" lydia thats looks almost exactly like her teenage self canon(s)) not really an inbetween but you "totally care about women with large breasts" its not tat you only care about adult lydia to make her ooc, project onto her and make her to sexy goth queen many of us wanted to be when we were young and watched beetlejuice, ship her with beej so she can be his big tiddy goth gf its TOTALLY about ""feminism"" uh huh....

And where has YOUR sexy barbara art been hmm? b**tleb*bes draw so little art of barbara or either maitlands other than to be in the background and react to beej and lyida's shenanigans, or scold them because babes portray the maitlands or way more protective and prude than in canon, and the little art I've seen babes draw of her isn't sexy big tiddy babs. I have at most seen a handful of deetzland fics with adult content including barbara and that's it. Its very clear many of yall care mostly about lydia and beej especially boinking be honest now. So dont bring up our ship or barbara as a "gotcha antis".

And lastly Lydia, i dont think any of us are saying she cant grow up, we literally just think its gross to sexualize a character who is a minor in canon and age her up solely to be with a canon adult. Ive seen "antis" draw adult lydia in a tasteful way and develop her as she grows up because they're interested in her charcter and no one has taken issue with it at all. Lydia in all canons doesnt have big honkers in any canon either, yes minors can have breasts, even larger ones. I mentioned above that was me, and you can have a character who is a minor who looks more developed than others where its not gross and sexualized (jackie lynn thomas from svtfoe is an example, mami from madoka isnt really sexualized in canon from my memory) i think representaion of all body types abd breast sizes is important for young women but lydia isnt one of those characters even in canons where shes 15-17 and going through puberty.

Let lydia be a child jfc, stop being creepy and getting pissy when people draw lyida with the same breast cup in canon and make her look like the average teen/tween she is, that isnt misogyny its treating a character who is a minor appropriately.

The ACTUAL misogyny is over sexualizing and aging up a tween/teen character soley to do the horizontal monster mash with a adult charcter, write her so that she really only cares about said adult character and the spawn that pop out of her from him, she dies young but parents and friends who cares shes got beetlejuice!, Forget the entire life she leaving behind too, and giving her the body of a pixar mom or h*ntai protagonist a majority of the time.
