claiming that nolan is “wallowing” when he says “i deserve death” really shows failure to understand his current character arc. objectively speaking, he does deserve death for what he has done. it is a good thing that he understands this.

the reason allen rolls his eye and scoffs is because he understands that while nolan deserves to die, he can’t. nolan is still needed by both mark and viltrum. allen (and the audience) can see that nolan will not die, no matter how much he deserves it, simply because he is needed.

Zojja is an asura for people who don’t really like asura, tbh. She’s got the ego of one, and the text tells us that she’s a genius up there with the best of them, but when you look at what she does and says, it’s... disappointing. Like, ok, the line “we’ll kick your behind so hard you’ll be wearing it as a hat” is funny but god that does NOT suit a character who is supposedly so proud of their intellect, yknow? (Mr. Sparkles’ follow up to that line is spectacular though, you’re perfect sweetie)

As a high schooler, i empathized with her character... a bit too much, I think. Genius not getting the respect she deserved, etc etc, (look I was in high school we were all a little dumb once) but, really, she was NOT a good person and she was NOT a good character. She had one whole mode and it was “snarky bitch full of one-liners” and I can’t even blame the writing team on that because it was a consistent characterization that wasn’t shared by any other asura in the personal story.

It really sucks that she just, got brain damage offscreen and was never seen again, but please don’t bring her back... Taimi and Gorrik (and, yes, Ankka) are the asura NPCs we deserve (despite recent writing not exactly treating Taimi well though that’s another rant) and Zojja would be holding them back at this point, as scientists and as people.
