I feel like haru will definitely guilt trip you into helping out jabberwock much more often. Since he frequently tries to persuade ren with that tactic, but with you he's much more...
haru may do it unconsciously after doing it so many times too.
he may even do it through messages and you will be at jabberwock in no time. it's that easy.
it is very sweet though, how you worry about the animals in his care.
your help lightens haru's workload, but what's important is that you're where he wants you to be.
when you have classes, haru may pass peekaboo to you, saying that it saves him a lot of time for other chores.
(if anyone asks why you're bringing along an animal that should be in jabberwock's hands, you explain that you're the inspector. you're allowed to do it. it's your job, helping the ghouls.)
by the third time you decide to babysit peekaboo, you choose to pickup the baby yourself, since it's much more convenient that way, and haru will gratefully give you the baby sling and the things needed to care for peekaboo.
you like peekaboo but you can't help but ask why haru lets you bring peekaboo when peekaboo doesn't trust strangers easily.
peekaboo almost bit off kaito's fingers yesterday!
haru just reminds you about the fox incident--which you still felt guilty over it--it takes time because they're basically wild animals.
which you accept because it sounds reasonable, right?
no. it's how haru makes sure no one gets too friendly with you of course. peekaboo's such a good boy!
(also, a side note from haru, please avoid going to sinostra since it's a harm to the baby's safety. maybe it's better to just avoid anything sinostra altogether. surely, you don't want anything happen to peekaboo?)
weeks pass by and one day, when you are about to pickup the baby, haru informs you that you don't need to babysit today.
you're relieved that you don't have to carry the extra weight, but a small part of you is somewhat disappointed.
when you're sitting in class you would unconsciously lift up your hand to pet the soft fur of peekaboo but found nothing on your lap.
you miss the cute little boos peekaboo makes when you talk to it.
somehow your lap feels strangely empty and cold.
it seems... you've gotten attached to the baby.

[random thought] ● yandere haru sagara (with peekaboo!)
peekaboo gets really sad everytime you leave jabberwock. why? that's because...
peekaboo worries for haru.
haru tries to hide his exhaustion by acting that he's okay but peekaboo knows how tired haru is.
and everytime you're with haru, haru looks a lot better in peekaboo's eyes. he becomes energetic and talks more than usual.
then at night, haru keeps mentioning your name.
"peekaboo, when do you think y/n will come visit again?"
"what do you think about y/n?"
"y'know, I miss y/n a lot..." haru says as he traced the bright red dot among the lines on his device.
y/n is important to haru.
seeing how wistful haru is, peekaboo really hopes you'll never leave them.
since peekaboo likes you too!
the next time peekaboo sees you, he'll make sure you stay!

haru sagara buying gps trackers made my brain buzz
imagine him putting one on you so he can see where you are at all times:
he meets you on this random hall you just happen to use as shortcut? what a coincidence!
enjoying your lunch alone in the gardens? not anymore! haru will pop out behind you with an excited greeting.
you see him again when you're hanging out with kaito and luca. is haru following you? impossible! he's too busy caring for the anomalies.
when you have free time and decide to help out jabberwock, haru asks what you were doing at frostheim.
odd. how did he know you just came from there?
ofcourse he'll just flat out tell you that he put a tracker on you.
knowing him, you don't think much of it. it's haru after all. it does make him easier to find you if he needs anything.
so... what's the harm on letting him track you?
(ren would beg to differ. he'll try to make you come to your senses.)

[random thought/scenario?] ● yandere haru sagara
you get a call from haru that peekaboo is gone! this is the third incident this week. why does peekaboo keep running away?
you search the school grounds and finally find peekaboo crying for you at the place you were staying.
peekaboo notices your scent and immediately approaches you with its short paws.
"boo...!!"
the fluffy ball is clearly distressed. you cradle the poor thing into your arms and peekaboo sticks to you like glue.
before you can call haru, you see him already running towards you.
"sorry, y/n! I don't know why peekaboo keeps escaping like this."
haru reaches out his hands to pickup his kid, but peekaboo refuses to leave your hold. unsure what to do, you decide to just gently pet peekaboo's back. hoping to ease the small creature.
haru scratches the back of his head, "aah, didn't think peekaboo would get attached to you, y/n."
really? you didn't do anything though.
haru claps his hands together. "well, I must say, it's a good thing peekaboo has more people he trusts!"
"... but we have to go now, since you have class, right, honor student?"
...?
!!!
he's right. you're going to be late!
you quickly place the soft cloud into haru's arms and give it a goodbye pat on the head before running to your class.
...
... huh? how did haru know you have class?
strange.
maybe he's just being a good senior. he probably memorized your schedule so he doesn't trouble you when he asks for help.
that must be it.
meanwhile, haru walks back to jabberwock with the cotton ball happily snuggling into his baby sling.
"you rascal," haru playfully pinches peekaboo's soft cheek. "you're making her worry."
"boo! boo!" peekaboo puffed its cheeks in protest.
haru sighs, "I know. maybe we should try something different next time."
haru pulls out his phone and looks at the pictures of the honor student cradling a crying peekaboo.
"aww, look at this, peekaboo! you two look cute!"
"boo~!"
