Overprotective! Darkrai Concept

Pairing: Platonic

Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Stalking, Overprotective behavior, Kidnapping, Forced companionship.

Simply meeting the Mythical Pokemon was (un)lucky enough, let alone getting close to it.

Darkrai seems like a Pokemon that rarely shows itself.

It's sometimes depicted as evil due to it giving those around it nightmares.

Yet it only does such a thing to defend itself.

Other than that it's said to give people “dreams” in the Pokedex.

Not nightmares all the time, according to the dex it implies it also gives dreams, which is what I'm going to go with.

You meet Darkrai by chance, the Pitch-Black Pokemon resting from a wound.

Maybe it got into a fight with Cresselia or something?

Either way, you accidentally find Darkrai and go still.

The Mythical Pokemon stares at you, blue eyes scanning your form for aggression.

Despite its elusive nature and strength, it's still nervous.

Trying to soothe the Pokemon you pull a hyper potion from your bag.

The Pokemon appears to be judging the item before relaxing.

You hesitantly step closer and the shadowy Pokemon allows you to get closer without putting you asleep.

Soon you become close enough to spray the potion on the Pokemon to heal the wound.

Darkrai watches you carefully to see what you do next, but you merely back away.

You're intending to allow the Pokemon to also back away, however instead it puts you to sleep.

You then wake up at home in confusion.

You don't expect to meet Darkrai again due to the rarity of the Pokemon.

However, your first meeting just increases your likelihood of seeing it again instead.

Darkrai now trails behind you in your life.

You're never truly alone as Darkrai follows you closely.

The Pitch-Black Pokemon feels indebted to you after you healed it.

So while you may not know it, you have a Pokemon ready to aid you.

Darkrai may silently stalk you for a long time.

It could even be years later before you see this Pokemon again.

You always sensed some sort of presence, your Pokemon did too, but you never thought anything of it.

When you meet again the tables have turned.

You're in a life threatening situation, only for there to be a large dark void… before you succumb to the darkness.

When you awaken you notice you don't have your Pokemon.

Are you… even awake?

You can't make anything out.

All you see in front of you is a shadowy Pokemon.

You soon put together that it's Darkrai and are greatly confused and scared.

You have no idea what's going on but Darkrai seems calm.

The Pokemon then makes its way to you before rubbing the top of your head.

You may not know it yet… but you're trapped in an eternal sleep.

It took you away before putting you to sleep.

It doesn't wish to cause you nightmares… it only wants you safe since you helped it.

Unfortunately… the whole situation, especially in the Pokemon's arms, is a nightmare in itself.

Pecan - Would you trust them to go ghost hunting with you?

Absolutely! For one thing she's the only one who believes in Spirits and Curses and stuff out of the group based on Mochi Mayhem, so she's the only one who'd agree probably fkgjfdksdkj

Ghost Pokemon are cool to find but I wanna uncover REAL ghosts!!! Where's the Haunted House Game Freak!! I will find it and Nemona will be there with me!!! ...Though she might end up possessed. Seems like the kind of person to touch a cursed object without thinking.

Ash - You find yourself lost in the woods. Do you call them? Would they be able to help you get out, or are they just a voice to keep you calm while you get yourself out?

If I'm in Paldea, yeah. She knows the Paldea region front and back, not surprising given how many journeys around it she's been on. Though if I was really lost she'd probably just come get me, somehow she always knows exactly where I am... Hm...

Though we'd probably both get lost if it was Kitakami. Me and her lost in the Timeless Woods, maps not working, just wandering around until it gets dark and we just camp out. Arven and Penny would eventually come get us but until then it's challenging strong wild Pokemon for us.

oh yeah, definitely just the aesthetic, not the redeemable part. Probably should have clarified that. And thank goodness Dennis isn't a Yandere. Even Darkrai would be scared of that. Also, did you get an ask about the Elite Four? I don't mean to be rude, i just wanted to double check it went through since tumblr's ask box gets invaded by the occasional munchlax

- Celebi è così in alto perché sono una nostalgica. E perché è carino.

- A Suicune sono affezionata da Cristallo. Entei, anche se era un’illusione, nel terzo film era un gran figo. Sorry, Raikou - Il tuo OAV era anche abbastanza mediocre...

- Dei Regi mi piace un sacco tutta la quest, credo sia una delle migliori di Pokémon.

- Nonostante Zygarde sia stato maltrattato in ogni modo possibile e la sua Forma Gundam mi causi ilarità, trovo che il suo design e la sua grotta a Kalos siano molto scenografici e gli diano in qualche modo una certa solennità. (!)

- Genesect... perché. Semplicemente, perché?

- Mew è palesemente yandere e il primo leggendario a cui mi sono affezionata. Poi è arrivato Mewtwo. Anni dopo, a caso, sono rimasta affascinata da Darkrai e tutta l’Isola Lunanuova. Tutta colpa del bellissimo primo film e di quel meraviglioso evento che in DPPl non era giocabile normalmenteAAARGH-

Overprotective! Darkrai vs Arceus Concept

Pairing: Platonic - Rivalry

Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Overprotective behavior, Stalking, Rivalry/Jealousy, Pokemon religion, Dubious companionship.

Not sure if you'd be considered lucky or fortunate to meet these two when you were a child.

One of them, Darkrai, is a Pokemon that can cause nightmares.

The other one, Arceus, is literal God.

Maybe you used to have nightmares as a kid, nightmares of a dark shadow-like Pokemon.

These nightmares were a way Darkrai could communicate with you.

The Pokemon may have grown fond of a young child like you and altered your dreams.

However, soon the shadowy Pokemon grows greedy.

The nightmares are longer and soon your parents grow nervous.

After all... soon their child never wakes up.

This leads to your parents praying for you to wake up from this nightmare curse.

Meanwhile in your rest Darkrai is playing with you, no longer trying to scare you.

Arceus notices the prayers of your parents and takes note that Darkrai is essentially holding you hostage.

If you do not wake... you will surely die.

Arceus sends Cresselia to wake you from your sleep, pitying a child such as you.

Cresselia ends up prying you out of Darkrai's grip, much to the Dark-Type's annoyance.

Afterwards Cresselia leaves a feather with you, one that your parents make into a charm to put around your neck.

Fearing Darkrai will come after you again, your parents bless you and tell you to not remove the feather.

Due to your blessing, Arceus keeps an eye on you.

Arceus can tell Darkrai is lurking around you, the Dark-Type unable to let you go.

However this time the Pokemon can not put you into eternal slumber.

Essentially you meet these two Pokemon due to a traumatic event in your childhood.

Ever since both Pokemon have had their eye on you.

Darkrai wants to keep you to itself, meanwhile Arceus is following your parents blessing to protect you.

Now you're an adult, still under careful watch by these two deity-like beings.

Most of their "rivalry" is out of your sight.

While you still have that feather and blessing, Darkrai can't touch you.

Darkrai is usually a very misunderstood Pokemon, it didn't mean to hurt you.

The Pokemon wanted a friend... getting said friend nearly got you killed.

Arceus pities both of you, but the god has a feeling the Dark-Type may go overboard again.

I imagine things would heat up if your blessed feather was destroyed somehow.

This makes you vulnerable to Darkrai once again.

The Pokemon gets so excited, he can finally see his friend again!

As you fall into your nightmarish sickness again, you see Darkrai.

It's friendly towards you, almost treating you like a kid again.

Meanwhile I imagine Arceus does its best to interfere.

Maybe even to the point of entering your dreams too to try and chase Darkrai off.

That's how a rivalry between them would go.

Now the question is... what happens next?

If Arceus wins you will once again be protected, perhaps even blessed by Arceus and Cresselia again like long ago

If Darkrai wins, then you may die in the Pokemon's embrace.

Your fate isn't for you to decide...

Since maybe even birth, your fate has fallen to these two Pokemon... you are at their mercy.
