The workers club interior - Rodchenko. The room has everything: a library for a small selection of appropriate books, a Lenin corner, a place two people to play chess (and a rotating chess board so they can switch colours without moving seats) and a reading table. There is a small pipit for workers to read news or give speeches from, and a roll down screen for projecting movies too. The room was first displayed at a Paris exhibition in the 1920s, after which it was gifted to the French socialist party (no news exists of what happened to it after that) it has been reconstructed for exhibitions 4 times, but was never built as a functioning workers club. #tretyakov #rodchenko #workersclub #soviet (at Tretyakov Museum)
