...
These preseason games are happening at the exact same time. The WNBA cut out the Lynx/Sky video stream so there'd be no viewership competition for CC's debut. The WNBA wants those CC viewership numbers up so they can publish a headline about it. And they're willing to sideline other teams' coverage to boost CC's viewership.
Hopefully this is just a preseason experiment and not a sign of things to come. Cheryl Reeve is a force in this sport with a lot of power. She'll be on the phone yelling at league administration about this.

Basing this off one game's worth of data, but here goes.
My thoughts about the Sky:
1. Angel was the steal of the draft at #7. And she's strong strong, not just strong compared to other college players, holy shit.
2. Kamilla better get healthy because damn, her and Angel together are going to be tough
3. Seeing Diamond back in a Sky uniform just seems correct
4. I shouldn't have forgotten Mabrey can shoot
5. I am 100% rooting for Chennedy to just blow everyone away this year. I love a good comeback story, and I feel like she might have the right people around her to make this happen.

i’ve just got to say, the hatred of women is crazy to me. specifically the hatred of women in sports. the countless amount of hate comments i’ve seen on caitlin clark is insane and it’s mainly from men OF COURSE. what could we expect?
the girl just set records in a brutal NCAA tournament that sadly as we all remember, ended in a loss. (no hate to south carolina, it was a well deserved win and they did their thing for sure)
the weight on her shoulders has got to be impossible. the girl is constantly on her feet traveling here, there, and everywhere, all while being one of the biggest people in the world right now. there’s no way she’s got any form of normalcy in her life. imagine how that feels. always being watched and criticized and hated on.
it’s been barely a month and a half since the end of her college career and she’s playing her fourth game in the WNBA, sixth if you count preseason. i think people seem to forget this time frame.
and we already know the main argument we hear:
“men are just better.” “men are stronger.” science this, science that. “women are weaker.” for anyone to put the word weak and women in a sentence together is blasphemy given that there is no world without us.
the wnba is one of three most competitive sports franchises in the entire world. 144 spots available. she’s playing with the best of the best.
caitlin clark is and will forever be one of the greatest to bless not only the game of women’s basketball, but basketball in general. kill me for saying it i do not care as i will die on this hill.
