Every year without fail, I tend to have an intense hyperfixation during the summer, and it's always my favorite thing since it's happened each year (more so starting in 2016 and then onwards). Also I can't believe it's like officially-ish I guess the fifth anniversary of the Roombalution comics I made, and the chaos they brought haha. This year it's part 2 with Turbo Dogs lol.

Ngl I wish the other BL games were like BL1 like I think that the other Borderlands games rely too much on comedy and stupid shit were as BL1 was more grounded and less comical

Like yeah BL1 had it's comedic moments like with the whole thing with Ned and Zed and the whole goofy annoyingness of Claptrap and Knoxx wanting to kill himself because of how much he hated being on Pandora but it wasn't an entire focus on comedy which is something the rest of the Borderlands games focused on

Sure BL1 suffered some things that could've been done better like have it be more story driven and have a better villain but in terms or atmosphere and less focus on comedy I'd say Borderlands 1 is the best game in the Borderlands franchise

Plus the future games treats the vault hunters like legendary heroes (tho BL3 barely acknowledges the vault hunters outside of gameplay) whereas in BL1 you're basically some nobody on the biggest shithole of the universe looking for some myth that may not even exist

I honestly would've prefered if BLTPS BL2 TFTBL BL3 and MTFTBL were more like BL1

Don't get me wrong I love the Borderlands franchise but I absolutely loathe how dependant the rest of the games are on comedy because most of Borderlands comedy after BL1 can be summed up as swearing, toilet humor and stupid pop culture references

Imo Borderlands suffers the same thing that post Dead Rising 1 post Saints Row 2 and post GTA 4 games suffer from and that's that they are too silly and rely too much on comedy

Already in the start 0:51 it starts to sound like pre-sequel jack or "john" and it says "if he said help me kill the president" who is the president of hyperion at that time? HAROLD TASSITER WHO HE HATED AND KILLED.

Then 1:05-1:56 it sound like borderlands 2 cause he got older and it sounds like it was from the vault hunters prospective too especially when they said "he tells me to be cautious" he was warning the vault hunters of getting hurt especially after they killed angel.

AND THEN 1:59-2:47 it sounds like it takes place in tftbl now but in rhys's perspective describing jack ESPECIALLY when said "when he talks I hear his ghost" sounding like ai jack who basically no one could see or hear except rhys ALSO he went through stuff like a ghost sooooo...

And then the ending was just like jack disappearing into the nothingness again and or being put into the gun in bl3...

I often think about Borderlands & it's wild to me that so many people (apparently) haven't even heard of Handsome Jack? One of the absolute greatest VA jobs ever? Dameon absolutely fucking nailed it? And it's one of the greatest writing for a hero/villain?

I understand that not everyone is into first person shooters, but I got introduced to Jack through Telltale's Tales from the Borderlands (and I was against shooters at the time.) It wasn't even real Jack, but his AI, and his charisma was through the roof.

And then I played Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and there was no going back. Absolutely in love with him. Absolutely in love with Rhack.

Murder husbands/boyfriends, my beloved. Also, Maya. And Angel. Like, the sirens in this universe? Ahhh!!

If you're into anti heroes and villains, do yourself a favor and play Borderlands 2. And TFTBL. And B:TPS. Preferrably in the order of: B:TPS, BL2, and then TFTBL.
