Rewatching episode 8 and I gotta say...kudos to the actor and the writers for making possessed!Airk really fucking creepy.It's not even what he says it's just that every single thing about him is a tiny bit off and also ever so slightly like the Crone.*Shudders*
(also how much Airk is in there when he interacts with them? Because it seemed like he was pretty deep down when Kit had to pull him out.Sometimes it feels like he cooperates and sometimes it feels like the Crone is straight up puppeteering him.hmmmm)

In my opinion he will sacrifice himself to save others, end up possessing, something like that, but CERTAINLY NOT die. I mean, they won't kill us the best character of the series from season 1 anyway ?!

in my ideal world s2 of ofmd is 13 episodes long and has a big stretch of episodes in the middle dedicated to the crew healing and ed learning lessons in a format of slice-of-life shenanigans + ed having one-on-one adventures/making amends with each individual member of the previous crew that he hurt. literally how can we only have 3 episodes left it feels like we're just getting started :(

im sure when luz has her inevitable mental breakdown in the next two episodes it will be her mom or eda and king who comforts her and helps her complete her character arc where she realizes Not Everything Is Her Fault, Actually. either that or the entire main cast is going to somehow show luz that she’s been a positive influence in their lives. and luz will be inspired to defeat belos with the power of friendship or whatnot. or amity or hunter will have something to do with it, though if they’re a part of it, the rest of the main cast probably will too bc i don’t see why they would be the only ppl there at the climax of luz’s character arc and not eda, king, and camila.
but what i would have really liked would be if when luz is at her lowest point the person to encourage and inspire her was willow. they haven’t touched on these two’s relationship since season 2 so they probably won’t go this direction but i think narratively it would come circle. willow was the first friend luz ever made. she introduced her to other kids their age and basically kickstarted luz’s relationships with her other peers. without willow, luz never would have gone to hexside and learned about witch society and magic. or at least, she wouldn’t have gotten as much experience with it if she just stayed with eda all the time. without willow, luz definitely wouldn’t have met amity, gus, or even hunter probably. from their adventures with their friends, luz and willow have both matured. and while willow is doing a lot better than how she was at the start of the show (though there are still parts of her character i think they should have explored more in s2), luz is suddenly doing a lot worse.
at the start of the show, luz helped willow gain confidence in herself and discover who she wanted to be. i think at the end of the show, it would be nice if willow helped luz do the same

I've debated for a while now, writing a fanfic about how I imagine Vol. 2 and 3 would play out. But I also just got hit with the overwhelming urge to write the adventures of Madmartigan, Boorman, and Allagash. How Boorman came to be Mads' squire and a Bone Reaver, how Mads acted as king and adventurer on the road, how Boorman came to dislike Allagash, how Scorpia and Boorman came to fall in love. The major moments leading all the way to Skellin. I just... I have thoughts.

Damn, so I guess giles and Jenny are over. Feel bad for Giles, he and buffy are so alone, it's sad. They share the same fate.
What happened to angel?
So, phew this episode, this was intense. I loved this one, it's like we are now continually picking pace. Giles dark past, honestly not that dark, I thought it's gonna be more darker and intense. Still, kinda wish we had more scenes of his past.
Whatever that monster was, wygon(?) I think, is inside angel or dead, I didn't quite understand that part. That was a smart move from willow.
Oh and Jenny and giles seem to be over, yeah it's sad but who can blame her, you can't be part of giles and Buffy's life unless you're part of the supernatural world, it's sad but it is what it is. Hopefully he will find someone someday. It has to get so lonely. It's honestly a sad life, minus saving the whole world thingy.
I guess that's it, loved the episode, it was interesting, especially giles past, I still wish we had more angel, as much as I love the chemistry between buffy and him, I can't exactly ship them when he's barely in the show. No spike or drusilla in this episode, no vampires. Also, no OZ, can we have him back.
Oh btw, fuck you Ethan.
