Mime thoughts regarding voidlings

So, I've been drawing a couple Cattails cats as humans, and I've realized how screwed up voidlings are.

In theory, these things were based on the cats who were in the Wildwood before, which means they're the forms of either dead or long departed cats. In a human sense, these things are basically alternates. Pieces of the Wildwood Champions' thoughts turned into a basically unlimited army taking the forms of former cats turned eldritch. Like, has no one thought how freaky this would actually be irl. This is horror movie material. As such, I'll make sure my human drawing of Umbra is as messed up as possible <3 (don't worry, they're still good, I love the drama of a piece of a hive mind breaking off)

Been playing Cattails Wildwood Story recently, so I doodled some fun NPCs (mostly from memory) and my player character kittycat (who, of course, is Whisper)

Can we talk about Talon and Krampy’s relationship?! I obviously love all the rival couples but I just love how Talon expresses to Krampy how they are getting older and how they are worried that they won’t be strong enough to protect the colony, and Krampy can relate and even comforts them on it. I love the old cats sm ❤️

The flag used is this aroweird flag! Krampy is a wonderful character from the game Cattails Wildwood Story -- a game I myself have already sunk many hours into. I really do question how Krampy always finds us whenever we die. Like, we could be in the deepest dwells of the mines and all I can imagine is Krampy casually walking down there like "man, I really need some d i a m o n d s for my project" and finding our fucking corpse like what the hell, man.

As someone who gets a horrible adrenaline fear rush every time I see a spider shape, I am beyond delighted. I wish every game had this. There are otherwise wonderful games I struggle to play because of this issue. THANK YOU. (And yes, intellectually I know spiders are harmless and beneficial. That doesn't stop the adrenaline.)

The Catalyst follows Forest Guardian and Wildwood Champion. After Ambrosia, Lady of the Jade Alliance, spared the ancient spirit and brought them back to their mind, the struggles of the mortal cats of the Wildwood seemed to come to an end. But as for the Spirits watching over them, it was only beginning.

A new prophecy has surfaced in the cosmos, warning of disaster reaching for both realms… and all of it seems to spiral out from the Wildwood. Or, more specifically, the Wildwood Champion themself. The reformed deity has no wish to bring ruin, but perhaps their sins are too great to outrun?

The cats of the Wildwood, the Forest Guardian, and unlikely allies in both realms are all dedicated to stop the prophecy from coming to pass. But time is running out, and rising tensions may bring the two realms to clash in a way no being could have imagined.

So that’s my pitch! The story is still in the planning stages, and progress is going well. I’m trying to gauge interest in the fandom, especially since the idea is a bit removed from canon. I’m hoping to deeper explore the stories and characters of Forest Guardian, Wildwood Champion, and the mysterious Cosmic Realm hinted at in the game’s dialogue.
