i have been thinking about how when watching the new pjo series, watching edits and reading ff, i am much more sympathetic to luke than i was reading the books... like i also think that maybe its because i was a kid when i read the books and im an "adult" now

i was just wondering if anyone else felt the same way now?

I can't watch ep7 of pjo bc I watch it with my sister and she's not coming over this week :((

After Luke’s reaction to Percy bringing up Hermes in ep 8, I wonder how he would have acted if annabeth didn’t close the iris message (when Luke still had to pretend to be on the “good” side)

Luke’s little lesson to Percy about only being able to fight if u know the rules, for him to pretend like Percy hurt him and take advantage of Percy’s feelings and friendship

as someone who has seen a lot of fanart (esp shipping laios and kabru) i thought kabru was going to be nicer 😭 ++ seeing falin in pain was so heartbreaking like

the entire time i was thinking "dang she prob just needs a hug like she did to that one ghost"

oooh it is so interesting that they made annabeth be there for the Luke betrayal reveal and replaced the scorpion scene

Okay I thought the pjo show was good! The ending for me def paid off for the whole show. I know some people have said they didn’t like it and I can see where they were coming from. I get the quest has a bunch of ups and downs as each stop they go to has a different monster or smth they have to overcome (which lends itself really good for an episodic format) but also I felt like during the whole quest, there didn’t feel like there was much high stakes (?) or tension in the scenarios they were out in just based off vibe.

However, I think a tonal shift sort of happens when Grover and Percy nearly get dragged to Tartarus, but then resets a little. But this showed to the audience that like the climax really is coming. This shift comes back again with Percy’s confrontation with Zeus. But I think that the final confrontation scene with Luke was really built up to well and really showed off this (almost reluctant) betrayal…

but each ep builds up the tension a little bit more I think and shows how the kids are realising their more in danger and they also get further from the safety of camp each episode and with each encounter...

tension arises more with annabeth a lot of the show is her coming to terms with and learning the truths ab life and the gods’ will (?) and the tensions seem to get higher the less her whole faith is rests in the gods (like there was so much more tension in in and after the ep where Athena lets echidna into her temple)

i wasnt gna talk ab physical 100 s2 on here but COME ON every person i root for gets eliminated

my fav part of physical 100 is when it essentially becomes the beep test. know my pain of going to australian primary schools!!

thinking about how ellie said her fear is to end up alone (ep5) and how in ep2, she didnt want to leave tess to die alone, yelling about how she "is not leaving [tess]" as joel drags ellie out before the explosion.
