Im going to be completely frank with you all... and admit that I read these options and wasn't sure how to take this chart,,, so uh. Under the cut is Another Version. I'd apologize but I've given you the option to keep scrolling ¯\_(・・)_/¯
(If you notice characters missing on Kim's side, I probably figured she doesn't know who they are lol)
For the record,,, if they *wanted* me to pull their hair-- *is shot several times before I can continue*
Uhh Matthew is here because I have been converted fully on he/him or enby lesbian Matthew I think. He lives in my brain rent free now, very gender. I'd pull his hair but also I think he mostly just deserves to have it played with nicely.
And Scott's here because 1) I enjoy trans Scott, 2) Kim Pine Brain Rot possibly, 3) idk he's like,, the exception. God damnit, I've fallen for the inexplicable Scott Pilgrim Effect. What the fuck--
I did think about doing this chart like everyone was actually applicable to my tastes, but even if they were I think the ones I didn't put up would have to fall on the caress side bc I just don't feel that way abt them lol.
Again, not to say that's the case for the gals over on that side,,, I just think I would want to be gentle w them shxkdjsdhbd with the exception for Lynette who probably deserves to have her hair pulled, but again I fear she would Hurt Me,,, but maybe in a fun way,,,
Anyway No One Look At Me....
(,, also,,, Ramona is so far over bc I think she would enjoy it,, otherwise she'd be closer to Kim in that section. Same thing w Roxie)
If anyone actually looks at this version, I'm not opposed to doing a version like this for Kim btw! Just ask for it so I feel like I'm not just Dropping This and scurrying away

Ok but like, the funny thing about Benoit blanc is that it looks like a French name, so I imagine the audience is supposed to assume he's gonna have a French accent. And then he opens his mouth and the most usamerican southern English comes out. Out of the mouth of a Very British Actor, no less.

because my life is a cartoon joke at this point, my brother did his laundry, didn't check his pockets AGAIN, got gum ALL OVER THE DRYER, didn't want to tell me, so he used flammable WD40 to get the gum off the dryer drum..............

sorry to ask this (no judgement) but are you into plantcest? you reblogged a post that op tagged as that but you didn't tag it as that so i was just wondering since it came up on my blacklist, i hope you're having a good day!
I'm neutral to positive on it?
I enjoy it, but it's not my "OHHH MAN GOTTA SEE IT" ship to seek out. I might write some eventually? IDK I think that whether you read a romantic/sexual element into it or not, though, Knives has a really fucked up view of Vash (and particularly Vash's bodily autonomy) that lends itself a dynamic that can quickly slip into uncomfy territory. Usually I'm better about tagging ship stuff (esp things I know other people filter for) but I'll be honest and say my brain was a lil fried last night so it slipped my mind.
As a general rule for any folks new to the dragonofeternal space, I'm solidly ship and let ship. I enjoy fucked up ships and nasty gore weirdness with the same breath that I enjoy wholly unshippy and unsexual gen content. I am a creature of many pleasures, lol.
I'm big in people taking active agency in curating their online experience, so if the stuff I like or reblog makes folks uncomfortable, please feel free to unfollow/mute/what have you at any time. I know I have things that are dealbreakers for me bc of squick or even just general dislike/annoyance lol, so please don't worry that I will be offended that you aren't into XYZ or unfollow me.
All that said lemme go add the plantcest tag to that one pic because I uhhh definitely missed that the blades were dripping when I first reblogged it lol

You know what just hit me? Ransom not knowing the knives in the knife halo sculpture were retractable. It looks to be a centerpiece too, with how big it is. Ransom doesn't live there, yeah, but it's implied that he's visited often enough, at least long enough to know the secret ways in and out of the house. That implies a certain familiarity about the house and yet...he doesn't know about the retractable knives in the very eye-catching sculpture dead center in that room. The whole family, in fact, seems very comfortable with it, like it's been there for ages. Someone HAD to have known it was all blunted and/or retractable. Harlan Thrombey even says something about props vs the real thing while talking to Marta before his death. Honestly I think in the end, all that talk about Harlan and Ransom being too much alike was just...shallow. Ransom thought he was the only one who "understood" Harlan, and Harlan thinks Ransom is like him when he was a child. Yet Ransom didn't know about the knife halo. Ransom thought he knew his grandfather and tried to play the game, but ultimately lost because he didn't know enough about the big, eye-catching knife halo sculpture that was likely there long enough for everyone to NOT register it as a threat. It's a display piece. That's it. And yet Ransom thought it was real enough that he tried to stab Marta with one of its knives.
Ransom thought he was winning by knowing and planning for everything but was ultimately outplayed by Marta. Something something assumption does not make reality and Ransom thought he was special cuz he and his grandfather understood each other but ultimately all he did was prove that he knew nothing

this entire chapter was a joy to read but I gotta say I 100% understand knives’ fear of brad—the opening scene was one of the most strangely fear inducing things I’ve ever read. kudos and 10/10 for making me feel nauseous over what turns out to be a very funny scene of knives getting murder-grounded
Love this ask. Love asks about experiences that surprise me a lot, in a good way - part of me is always like 'write a dialectical essay on why you think so???' and the other part is 'the picture and vibes you've painted is incredibly funny and I love it'. Thank you for the ask anyway. Get to talk about Brad and Luida FINALLY.
I'm deciding that this is a victory, because it gave you a great insight into exactly how Knives felt LMFAOOO. He has spent literally this entire story acting superior, holier-than-thou, won't shut up about how he's physiologically and mentally leagues ahead of you puny humans, you're so lame and pathetic and Millions "Genius Cool Guy Surgeon" Knives is soooo much better than you. And then the minute he goes home and sees his foster parents he is suddenly the goodest little boy who you would both introduce to your parents and give a doggy treat. They are two geriatric astronauts and Millions Knives is pants-shittingly terrified of them.
I was legitimately a bit worried that I wrote Brad as too harsh in the flashback scene, or uncomfortable-in-a-bad-way in the beginning scene. I was really careful with both. How Brad and Luida raised Knives is absolutely not a great method of parenting, lmfao. But they weren't really raising a child - they were taming a tiger. I think you can safely assume that Knives was not given a single inch his entire adolescence. He didn't get away with shit. That's how behavioral conditioning works. I really can't stress enough that, although Knives is a pretty good guy in the present, he is still the literal actual Millions Knives. And what 14yo Knives here got up to wasn't all that different from what canonical 14yo Knives was getting up to. The difference is Brad and Luida - and they knew exactly what they were trying to prevent. They knew they couldn't fuck up. They knew what would happen if Knives didn't change. It must have been a lot of pressure.
The sheer balls on the guy who walks up to Millions Knives and just goes, "Okay, asshole. Kill me. Do it.". So insane that it gaslights Knives into believing that Brad and Luida are the only superior lifeforms to himself.
But at the end of the day, what that scene still conveys is - it's a farce. Their family is a social contract: Brad and Luida will give Knives what he wants (a meaning to his life, and on a deeper level he won't acknowledge, a family), and in return Knives politely pretends that they are remotely capable of controlling him. A handcuff is an insanely restrictive method of grounding somebody - and obviously Knives could have gotten outb of it any time. But Knives lets them do it, because if he doesn't then it would break the keyfabe, the farce. And that would destroy Knives' only path towards becoming a good person. Because Brad and Luida told him that they are the only path towards becoming a good person. And if you aren't a good person you have no reason to exist btw. Also we don't love you anymore.
Kinda fucked up if Knives was, like, a regular child? Yes. Only sensible thing to do if the child was Millions Knives? Yes. It's complicated but that's why I really love it. Also for the insane funniness of Knives experiencing fear.
TL;DR Handcuffing your child to its bed is only okay if the child has bad vibes and is unfun to be around.

trigun (talking original anime not stampede/manga here as I can’t comment on those yet) is actually genuinely really solid in terms of themes and repeating imagery. the way the very setting of a desert with the associated resource scarcity plays into it all. you get monopolies over water where one family holds everything whilst the surrounding areas are left to rot. but then you have small patches of greenery that could have amounted to nothing but due to years of nurturing they’ve grown up into forests. it’s about what you do with what you’re given and what you choose to pass on to others.

Bacteria when they encounter a Neutrophil.
LMAOOOO ACTUALLY!!! XD THAT'S LITERALLY ME TOO
I've gone on this rant before but why tf are the Neutrophils white? I get that they're WBC and its a visual contrast but... they're not the only white blood cell type to exist and you don't see RBC's walking around with red hair and skin... well AE-3803 has red hair but that's bc she's protagonist-chan.
I will take the moment to mention that Macrophage is sometimes colored just as white in the manga, namely in the colored pages in the beginning of Volume 1 and 4.... but also in Volume 4 on the same colored pages she's then colored with a more normal complexion and with sorta blonde-light brownish hair. (and blonde hair on the cover of Vol 6, more akin to her anime design)
BUUUTTTT we are shown in Volume 2 that all cells come from the same stem cells, Myeloid and Lymphoid stem cells, and the stem cells are then made into whichever cell the body needs at the time. I don't think we've seen what a Myeloblast looks like, but by the time the Neutrophils are Myelocytes they already have paper white skin and hair. I have to imagine this change takes place between Myeloblast and Myelocyte as Myeloblasts also can make Eosinophils and Basophils... and neither of them have the same stark white features that Neutrophils have.
So my theory is that when they need to make a Neutrophilic Myelocyte from a Myeloblast they bleach the cells. I will continue to believe this theory until Akane Shimizu gives a reasonable explanation to this.
