The first six shooting dwarves of Larrik's Leadcasters, including the Big (small) man himself and his long suffering adjutant whose name has yet to be determined:
(get it, get it, Leadcasters, because they throw lead bullets but also they presumably have to make their own lead ball ammunition most likely by pouring molten lead into molds, and they're dwarves and therefore associated with metalworking)

i watched that movie "labyrinth" and now i know who david bowie is. he's okay i guess. his look in that movie reminded me a lot of longshot. i wonder if longshot's design was at all based off him. anyway it was a fun movie. they just dont make children's movies like that anymore (incomprehensible)
Children's movies should be incomprehensible! It's the only way to learn.
As far as I know, there's no direct connection between Longshot and David Bowie, but Longshot was introduced in 1985 and Labyrinth came out in 1986, so maybe it's just the extreme eighties vibe. Although you're not the first to make that connection:
(Ziggy Stardust was one of David Bowie's stage personas.)
If you want a comic book character based on David Bowie, your choices are:
Lucifer...
... or Lucifer. (Personally, I think Gwendolyn Christie does a better David Bowie than Tom Ellis but they're technically the same character, so they're all based on him!)
