Jonathan does get along with most other constables, especially other blue ranks like himself! He's pretty well-known because he's very friendly and is always making food / bringing gifts for his coworkers. He would probably consider Horus Hunt as his best friend as Jonathan looks up to him as like a big brother!

Jonathan Wesley is a blue rank constable who once worked as a guard for Nick Lightbearer, but after the singer went "on holiday", Jonathan had a mental break and came off of his Joy. Doctors fixed him right up, and he was then assigned to work under Constable Horus Hunt at the Broadcasting Center. Jonathan is a friendly man who seems to be a ray of sunshine to those he meets, and is always willing to learn and follow orders with little question. Under the surface, he is a cowardly man who runs away from any sort of problem rather than solving it, and is desperately trying to fight memories of the past so he can stay as happy as he can be.

I drew all of my OCs as kiddos!! This is them when they're around 9, 10! Explanations of what they're going through at this age below the cut.
Horus: He's constantly dealing with his father and trying his hardest to earn his father's praise, often overworking himself.
Vincent: Around the age his mom left. Him and Billy became an outlet for their father's anger.
Jonathan: Around the age Audrey was just a baby and he was helping his mom take care of her.
Mischa: Around the time his family moved to England from Russia. He barely knew any English.
Raphael: Before he moved to England, often bullied by classmates due to his more feminine appearance.
Billy: Around the time he was supposed to go to Germany on the trains but snuck off. Also when he found his father's corpse.
Audrey: A few years after her and Jonathan's mother died, her and her brother were very close.
Anette: Dealt with a lot of harassment from Ophelia's family due to her family's lower economic status and her race.
Ophelia: Right before her childhood took a dark turn, she was a very sweet and innocent little girl.

Decided to draw my Bobbies because I love them so much, also don't mind my rambling under the images-
From left to right: Jonathan Wesley, Horus Hunt, Vincent Morris
So I'm gonna be a nerd and overanalyze my own OCs and drawing because I can:
Jonathan is the only one of the three still on his Joy, and so he is the only one not looking back (as in looking back at the past?). His stance is a lot more relaxed as a result and it shows his rather carefree nature.
Horus is looking back with a relaxed expression showing his calm demeanor. His stance is a lot more proper and formal, possibly even rigid. He is very dedicated to his position as a Constable and it's obvious in his stature. He also is slightly angled towards Jonathan and away from Vincent, showing how strained his relationship with Vincent is and how Horus is now focused more on Jonathan since Jonathan is working below Horus now.
Vincent is looking back with a more angry expression, showing his general bitterness. His stance is more formal than Jonathan's but less so than Horus, and Vincent is much more defensive in posture. His arms are crossed over his chest (which can be viewed as intimidating) and he is turned away from the other two. He also has his back to Horus especially, which is a nod to their shared past.

Uniform
"I can't believe they think we're just going to let them take the kids…" She murmurs softly under her breath. Her eyes follow her spoon as it swirls in her tea, dissolving the sugar in the strong liquid.
Jonathan exhales softly as he pulls his shoes on, his eyes shifting over to his sister as she stands at the counter of their kitchen. "Audrey-"
Audrey quickly whirls to face him, a hand on her hip. "Don't. Don't you start that with me, Jonathan." She pinches the bridge of her nose with a low sigh of exasperation, peering over her fingers at him. "You honestly don't expect the people to just...let it happen, do you?"
John raises to his full height, adjusting his uniform and avoiding her eyes. "Going around town, we've heard people talking….They're scared, Audrey….and the Germans, they have tanks…."
"Fuck their bloody tanks!!" She throws her hands up with a groan. "They're our children! Our brothers and sisters, our grandchildren, our friends! And who knows how long they'll be gone, Johnny?!"
Jonathan's eyes lower as she raises her voice. He was never one for conflict. That was her thing. "It's….only temporary…" He states in a low breath.
"'Temporary'..." She scoffs. "How long is temporary, John?" When her brother doesn't respond, she snorts softly, shaking her head. "That's what I thought…"
Audrey holds her cup in her hands, blowing into the hot liquid to cool it as the tense silence stretches between the Wesley siblings. John stands rigid in their living room, his eyes fixated on his feet as she keeps her eyes to the side. It seemed that their disagreements were more and more frequent as of late. Especially with the added tension of the war.
"....I hate that uniform." Audrey's voice breaks the silence, and Jonathan glances up to see her eyes on him, narrowed with distaste. He quickly looks back down.
"I do good things, Audrey….Not every single Constable is a bad person….I want to help people." His voice is lowered as he hugs his arm against his side, squeezing it as he shifts uncomfortably on his feet. This wasn't an uncommon conversation for the pair.
"Yeah, well….it only takes a few…." Audrey trails off her sentence with a low sigh. She has always made it abundantly clear how she felt about Jonathan's occupation, so she saw no point in resuming.
"I'm….heading off." Jonathan approaches the door, then takes pause and glances back at her. "You're not planning on doing anything crazy, are you…? With the whole….children thing?"
Audrey smiles coyly behind her cup, holding it in both hands and looking to the side as she sips her tea. "Maybe, maybe not."
Jonathan sighs softly, but he cracks a smile. "Just be careful, Auds…."
"No promises, Johnny…"

❤️ Sgt. Horus Hunt ❤: A red rank Bobby who works to protect Uncle Jack and has been looking after him after he came off his Joy. Horus is a Downer but he keeps it hidden and he carries a lot of guilt and self hate.
🧡 Sgt. Vincent Morris 🧡: A white rank Bobby who works at Hayworth Labs. He is very sadistic and mean and abuses his power, but under the surface, he struggles with PTSD and religious trauma.
💛 Jonathan Wesley 💛: A blue rank Bobby who used to patrol around Nick Lightbearer's home before Nick went on holiday. Now he works under Horus at the Broadcasting Tower. He is recovering from coming off his Joy.
💚 Audrey Wesley 💚: A Wastrel woman who was never able to take Joy and is fighting to make everyone come to their senses before they starve. Jonathan Wesley's little sister, whom he forgot about.
💙 Billy Morris 💙: Was one of the few children to escape the trains. He now runs errands for the citizens of Wellington Wells in exchange for food, board, or war memorabilia. He is also a pickpocket and is Vincent Morris's little brother.
🩵 Ophelia Springs 🩵: Used to be a musical duo with her lover Anette before they were discovered. Ophelia is now on Joy and has been forced to work at the Reform Club.
💜 Anette Thompsin 💜: A Wastrel who used to be a musical duo with her lover. When they were discovered, Anette was given Joy but couldn't stomach it, so she is being kept at the Labs with the Plague victims and is being researched.
🤍 Raphael Alexandre 🤍: A red rank Bobby who attempts to hide his French descent. He is very anxious and prone to anxiety attacks.
🖤 Michael (Mischa) Avelin 🖤: A blue rank Jewish Bobby who fled with his family from Russia during the war. He was shot in the knee by German soldiers when he was younger and now wears a leg brace and occasionally limps.
