Inhuman Codex Updates

Inhuman(s) of The Day

August 14th - Codex Update

A whole lot of new Inhumans have been introduced of late, too many of me to keep track of and fully integrate into the codex and the Inhuman of The day feature.  Yet that doesn’t mean I’m not going to try.  The following are a number of the new Inhumans who have been introduced of late.  

Please do let me know if there are any that I may have overlooked.

Annie

A young latent Inhuman who was transformed by way of exposure to the Terrigen Cloud.  The nature of Annie’s powers remain unrevealed, but her physical appearance was altered leaving her with bat-like facial features.  During the Secret Empire Event when Hydra took over much of the continental United States, all Inhumans were rounded up and placed in internment camps.  A kindly family took in Annie, hiding her from the forces of Hydra.  Yet it was not long before Hydra agents discovered her whereabouts and agents were sent to apprehend her.  The family caring for Annie were part of an underground resistance network and word was sent out to Misty Night of the Underground Avengers.  She arrived in time to defeat the Hydra goons who had come to arrest Sarah.  Musty then took Annie to the Mojave desert where Sarah was left int he care of a faction of anti-Hydra hermits.  Annie’s current status and whereabout remain unknown.  She appeared in Secret Empire: Brave New World #4.

Barf

Brian McAllister, a latent Inhuman whose transformation was caused by exposure to the Terrigen Cloud.  Brain’s physical appearance did not change and he was endowed with he ability to create pieces of matter by manifesting them in his esophagus and essentially barfing them out.  These powers are limited to what he can see and conceive of in hi mind as well as being small enough to fit through his throat.  A strange power. Brainw as arrested during the Secret Empire Event when Hydra took over most of the continental United States and Inhumans were rounded up and placed in internment camps.   Brain was placed in the prison that was made out of New Attilan and an iron muzzle was locked over his mouth to disable him from using his powers.  His fellow Inhumans were able to get this muzzle off and Brain used his powers to manifest and barf out a set of master keys to the prison, which then allowed the other prisoners to escape.   The Secret Warriors and Underground Avengers soon arrived to assist in the jailbreak and New Attilan was reclaimed from Hydra.  Afterward, Brain was introduced to Iron Man.  Iron Man was searching for the lost piece of the shattered cosmic cube so to re-alter the facets of history that allowed Hydra to take over the country.  Surprisingly, Brain was able to use his powers to manifest and barf out such a piece of the cosmic cube.   Brain appeared in the Steve Rogers: Captain America tie in issues to the Secret Empire Event.  

Dhalia

A latent Inhuman named Emily who was transformed by way of exposure to the Terrigen Cloud.  Terrigenesis turned Emily into a remarkably beautiful young woman and she used this newfound beauty to escape the dreariness of her former life to go to Hollywood California where she became a movie star under the new name of Dhalia Dorian.  Yet the alteration to her physical appearance was not the full extent of Dhalia’s Inhuman abilities.  During times in which she felt extreme stress or anxiety, Dhalia would transform into an enormous dragon-like create that could fly and breath fire. Dhalia appeared in Hawkeye vo. 4 #’s 5-6.

Mrs. Dawood 

A latent Inhuman who was transformed by way of exposure to the Terrigen Cloud.  The transformation distinctive markings on her face and endowed her with the ability to levitate.   Mrs. Dawood was apprehended by the forces of Hydra during the Secret Empire event and interred at the Camp Echo Relocation Facility of New Mexico.   While there, she took care of a young Inhuman named Kamala.  Mrs. Dawood appeared in The Champions vol. 2 #20.  

Kamala

A young Inhuman who was separated from her family during the events of the Secret Empire Event.  Apprehended by the forces of Hydra, Kamala was interred at the Camp Echo Relocation Facility of New Mexico.  Kamal’s favorite super hero is Ms. Marvel and she fashioned a makeshift Ms. Marvel costume in the hopes that wearing it would help her feel more brave and less scared.  While living at Camp Echo, Kamala was cared for by the kindly Mrs. Dawood.  It is merely a coincidence that Kamala looks similar to and has the same name as the real Ms. Marvel. Kamal appeared in The Champions vol. 2 #20.  

Leer

An Inhuman youth who is the son of Karnak of The Royal Family.  The identity of Leer’s mother has remained thus far unrevealed.  Although unrevealed is whether or not Karnak revealed to his extended family the existence of his son.  Leer was too young to go through the process of Terrigenesis and he resided in the new Tower of Wisdom alongside Karnak’s religious acolytes.  Once the Terrigen Cloud was destroyed, Karnak realized that Leer could never go through Terrigenesis and thus never attain his true Inhuman actualization.  This led Karnak to make the supremely rash decision to hand Leer over to the evil Mutant geneticist known as Mr. Sinister.  Sinister has long since been desirous of learning more about the inhuman genome and he agreed to facilitate a synthetic version of Terrigenesis in Leer in exchange for the opportunity to study his genetics.   Sinister succeeded in this end and Leer gained his Inhuman powers.  These powers entails the ability to emit a field of energy that has the effect to temporarily boost and augment the Inhuman powers of anyone in his vicinity.  Leer believes that he can only use this power once, but that is likely not the case.   In the wake of the Secret Empire Event and Hydra’s taking over much of the much of the continental United States, Leer ended up in the care of Sinister’s ally, The Dark Beast.  In an effort to get Leer back, Karnak coaxed Daisy Johnson and the other members of the newly formed Secret Warriors to find Leer, promising that he was the key to defeating Hydra.  The team ultimately rescued Leer and his power-augmenting abilities proved essential in the Warriors’ successful effort to free New Attilan which had been transformed into an Inhuman prison by Hydra.   Afterward, Leer was led off by Inferno who offered to take him to some people who could properly take care of him.   Leer first appeared in Secret Warriors Vol. 2 #4.  

Myrra

An Inhuman who possessed large, goat like horns and unknown powers.  She lived on Old Attilan and was married to Gorgon of the Royal family.  Together they had a daughter, Alecto, and it is possible that Myrra was also the mother of Gorgon’s young son, Petras.  Myra died by way of unspecified circumstances, leaving Gorgon a widower.  Myra’s first mention/appearance is int he pages of The Royals #4.  

Mr. Samalson

An Inhuman with reptilian features and scaled skin.  Whatever Inhuman abilities he may possess have been left unrevealed.  Mr. Salalson was apprehended by the forces of Hydra during the Secret Empire event and interred at the Camp Echo Relocation Facility of New Mexico.   Mr. Samalson appeared in The Champions vol. 2 #20.

Sasha

A latent Inhuman who was transformed via exposure to the Terrigen Cloud.  Terrigenesis altered Sasha’s physical form, offering her an alien, fish-like features and green skin.  Whatever powers Sasha may have been endowed with has yet to be revealed.  Sasha became good friends with her fellow new Inhuman, Romeo, and  accompanied him on his date with Bobby Drake (Iceman).  Sasha’s current status and whereabouts are unknown.   Sasha first appeared in All New X-Men vol. 2 #17.
