The album was released on 25 May 2018. 💭Thoughts : Snow Patrol has given me more closure than the people I dated had the decency for. The first time I heard them was on one of the episodes of One Tree Hill, and then I heard every single one of their songs and for years, I’ve come to use their songs as inspiration or respite. It’s been a journey alright. Then years ago (2018, to be precise) this came out, and suddenly it was more than an evening of music, it was Snow Patrol’s new album and it was worth the wait. It’s magnificent in so many ways, and very personal to me. Artists tend to move onto mainstream subjects and alienate or rather evolve to look like traffic on the 405 (LA Freeway reference), not them. You know what? I’m too exalted to critique it, and no matter how many times I hear it, my mind cannot fathom enough objectivity to describe how special this album really is.
