demetri/robby??????????????? hold on hold on. HOLD ON.
go on..
LMAO IK.
It’s like. In the vein of Demetri somehow pulling Yasmine (even if I don’t think they actually have that much chemistry) there’s something very funny about conventionally hot and cool people (who Demetri may feel are in a different social strata than him) inexplicably being interested in him
It’s like. Demetri gay Pete Davidson era when (although, granted, I think Demetri is at least somewhat more conventionally handsome than Pete Davidson but whatever, that’s a personal opinion)
Then there’s the fact that the s2 trio of Sam, Robby and Demetri were VERY important to me, and recalling how protective of Demetri Robby and Sam were is always sweet. Plus they’re all a little sassy and I think they would have incredible coffee get-togethers where they all just complain and bitch for a while
Demetri and Robby’s friendship just kinda got dropped after that and it sucks. There’s some tension there at the All Valley in season 4, but it never really gets addressed.
I also think it’s interesting that Demetri is kind of a stand out in terms of boys Robby usually gets shipped with; granted, I love p much all of those ships anyway, but I can also imagine Johnny finding out his son is dating a guy and doing his best to be super chill about it, then he finds out it’s Demetri and he’s like, sorry?? Him??? You couldn’t have picked someone cool???
(There’s also something about how Demetri sometimes comes off like a Mini Daniel, the complaining, the complete inability to shut his mouth, the skinniness, like. That’s all teenage Daniel, which I think is interesting in terms of the many parallels you can make with the teenagers).
Basically ppl like Johnny and Tory and so on are like wait, Robby, him??? Are you for real??? And meanwhile Demetri is like, uh, sorry, me??? And Robby is getting frustrated (and v embarrassed) like “yes, HIM, WHATS SO CONFUSING ABOUT THIS”
