You have chosen to: Follow CORVUS to the stars.
-
A second before the searchlight blinks Corvus away, Polaris throws the camera at the light. Maybe she’ll get some cool footage later. Or, it’ll be utterly destroyed. She hopes you all are durable.
And just as searchlight begins to blink, the camera catches the light, and disappears alongside Corvus.
Your camera feed grows grainy, crackling with static at the edges as space and time attempt to warp the object into nothingness.
Space and time bends and warps, and glimpses of pockets into the Network reveal themselves. Every bend of space-time swirls in a spiral across your camera feed, and voices from different areas of the Network grace the lens.
“We… Rapture—“ a voice speaks.
“Good evening, the“ —your feed groans for a moment— “…Protocol… Subject…”
“931-17…”— your feed warps — “Daedalus’…”
Your feed crackles, divulges into static and glitches, then shuts off entirely. Except…, as the camera’s night vision mode spurs on, you see that you did not shut off at all. You see a glimpse in a dark room, void of anything. The camera’s heat sensors paints everything a dark blue. Yet on the corner of the camera’s vision, you see a figure, hunched over, losing his color. A young adult, perhaps, whose heat is trickling out of him by the day.
And it’s like he knows you’re there as his head jerks up, blue eyes fading grey stare at you. And he scrambles. Scrambles to you.
But your feed crackles once again, and just before this pocket closes, you hear the young adult shout, voice like crunching gravel, “No, no, no, don’t leave—!”
And then your feed dissolves into static and you’re face-to-face with Corvus, a woman with black crow feathers sculpting her cheekbones and dark eyes that gaze upon you quizzically.
Around you, reality warps and cracks. It’s almost as if it’s trying to warp to whatever you’d find comforting, but with so many of you, it can’t seem to place down one ideal place of existence, so it simply writhes and fades in and out of different pleasant realities.
Welcome, dear stargazers, to the Network. Well, a branch.
“Fucking—“ Corvus hisses, watching as the reality around him can’t settle. She casts her own reality into existence: a simple forest with open skies and comforting pine trees. The grass is soft underfoot and birdbaths decorate the ground in a scattered pattern. “There, at least it has something to latch on.”
Corvus turns her gaze to you again and his eyes bare into the lens with skepticism. “Who sent you?”

One year ago today, a handful of people in south London saw an immigration raid happening in their neighbourhood and intervened by blocking the "snatch van" intended to use to spirit away their neighbours. Soon it seemed like everyone in Peckham was out standing with them, surrounding the would-be kidnapperss and their police escort. After a tense stand off, the kidnappers and coppers backed down and were unceremoniously run out of the neighbourhood!

Sexiest Podcast Character — Eye Bracket — Round 2
Propaganda
Cecil Gershwin Palmer (Welcome to Night Vale):
Purple eye man <3
Hes like, THE eye narrator guy for podcasts imo.
THE tumblr sexyman
Not too short or tall, not fat or too thin. With hair, a nose and eyes. Look, hes hot and sexy because he's an ambiguous gendered male pronoun character who's openly gay imminently. His hotness comes from his lack of description and his silly, whimsical nature. As a "The idea of having sex with my physical body is kinda yuck" ace, I would have sex with him irl if given the chance. He is the ONLY exception for my own minds rule. While that might not be real propaganda or whatever it should have weigh of how hot he is.
The Host (Beef and Dairy Network Podcast):
The Host, though never named, interviews various people on the Beef and Dairy Network Podcast, the number one podcast for those involved, or just interested, in the production of beef animals and dairy herds. Despite not being a traditional “narrator,” the Host has more information than the guest would like about their lives. Also hosts the quiz show “Beef Call” which is definitively run by the fae.

Just finished Network Effect and it’s such a mood. I read it digitally and it’s really funny seeing the bits that are popular enough for people to go, ‘Yes, this,’ and bookmark.
Two of my personal faves:
Overse added, “Just remember you’re not alone here.” I never know what to say to that. I am actually alone in my head, and that’s where 90 plus percent of my problems are.
There is a lot about what is going on here that I don’t understand. But I am participating anyway.
