Trick or Treat!
(Happy Halloween! Want to divert some attention away from Anti, so here ya go!)
Sean had finally done it. He finally understood and nearly perfected the ability to summon characters he created from a place his fans invented into the real world.
And he was going to make every minute count.
He planned out everything. He did all of it, he paid for the hotel room, and he even planned the schedule. All of it for Sam to be able to live out something they never could imagine.
There was never any true sense of Halloween for the egos. Their rendition of “Halloween” was an evil monster entering and nearly ruining their lives. Sean wanted to fix that.
First he made sure that Grayson was okay with not being a part of his plan, and that Marvin and Mark were cool with being a part of it. Grayson was fine with it, and said it would be nice to just be alone for a bit. Marvin was ecstatic to be a part of it, and Mark was impressed by how utterly adorable it was.
Second, he checked in with Chase.
“Sooo... how about the 30th of October to the 2nd of November?” Sean asked one night during their weekly Wednesday ego dinner.
“It’s not like we have much goin’ on.” Chase chuckled, “Why? What are you planning?”
“Oh, nothing.” Sean had placed his trap.
The third step was to get Sam and Chase to Marvin without them or anyone else questioning why.
“What is packing?” Sam asked.
“It’s where you get some things you think you’ll need together for a trip--like the one I’m sending you on” Sean explained.
“Well, how many days are we talking? And how are we getting there?” Chase asked drowsily.
“Four days.” Sean said, “And you’re poofing.”
Marvin’s bags were already packed, and he had been saving his energy for this moment for a few days.
After some interrogating Chase finally squeezed Sean’s plan out of him. As he stood about 4 feet away from Marvin, he pulled Sean into a tight hug.
“Thank you,”
The fourth step was to make sure they had fun.
Marvin used every ounce of energy he had, and concentrated it to nearly the other side of the world.
On the other side of the world, Wilford Warfstache sat in Mark’s living room with his fingers pressed against his temples. The Host sat next to him, also deep into concentration. Tim and Ed sat on the couch together. They too also concentrated on the other side of the world.
To Sean and Singe, they just disappeared into a poof of green smoke.
But to Marvin, Wilford, and the Host, it was like they were wandering. The Host and Wilford were both together and searching far and wide for the Magician.
Then they spotted him. He ran towards them, and when they opened their eyes Marvin, Chase, and Sam were all standing in the living room with full suitcases.
Everyone greeted one another and smiled. They had barely seen one another since the Anti-pocalypse.
Marvin went and passed out on the dining table.
Then they made eye contact. From across the room, two blue eyed mascots spotted one another. They both instantly recognized the other.
Sam rushed towards Tim, and nearly tackled him into a hug. Tim’s arms were opened wide. They both fell to the ground, smiling and crying at the same time. They had found one another.
“What are we doing here?!” Sam squealed happily.
“Well...“ Chase started, “You’re going to have you're first Halloween. We are gonna have our first Halloween.”
Sam was nearly sobbing. Chase pulled out their costume from his bag. He already knew what they wanted to be before they even brought it up.
Then Sam was really crying.
The next day, after what felt like forever waiting, Sam and Tim walked up the sidewalk to a neighbor’s house. There were cobwebs and spiders and pumpkins. All were meant to be scary, but Sam was too excited to be scared.
The friendly person opened the door to see a tiny Spider-man with a glowing green eye, along with a square shaped looking ghost both standing in the doorway holding empty candy bags.
Ed and Chase stood, waiting for Sam to speak.
“Trick-or-treat!”
