so i've finished wendesday! and as expected jenna ortega as wednesday did not disappoint at all but as for the show in general...... *personally* i feel like it was missing something? some sort of "oompf" like the show was lacking something that i can't explain or point out like it was Nice™ but after all the coverage of the show after it came out, i just thought i would like it more.... maybe i had set my expectations up too high and my actual experience of the show fell a little short but oh well anyways! at least we had wenclair, enemies to friends wednesday and bianca and, our trusty adorable hummer bestie eugene, and also catherine zita jones, gwendoline christie, and christina ricci of course
#yes i will make just maybe one or two wenclair edits#and i'm also currently watching the 90s addams family movies to sort of make up for what i felt was missing from the show#i guess maybe barry sonnenfield's version was just better??? or at least more to my preference lol#wednesday lb

not too sound cinema sins-y, i almost always love a mean girls reference, but enids tour makes it seem like evermore is specifically a school for these four different supernatural creatures, when clearly that’s not the case.
also the world building is kind of vague about how much supernatural stuff “normies” are aware of & accept… this could potentially be an interesting choice or it could be messy.
sometimes it’s kind of tedious but sometimes it’s kind of charming, anyway it’s definitely For Teenagers, but overall i find wednesday & enid compelling enough to start the next episode
#wednesday lb#not to sound cinema sinsy again but it DID look like gwendolyn christie was looking at wednesday in her rear view mirror as she was escaping#*not a real tom kha bc i didn’t have the right ingredients but basically a coconut milk tofu soup with these ornamental thai chilis#which weren’t even THAT spicy but i think are now giving me terrible heartburn? that or i used too much garlic#**she played kid jane villanueva in jane the virgin which i didn’t know until i was looking at her imdb
