Summary: With the Goblins vanquished, the party must ready themselves for the trek to Moonrise Towers in hopes of a cure. But not before they throw one hell of a party in celebration of their victory. After flirting for weeks, the tension between Astarion and Morgana appears to snap, drawing them together for a rendezvous in the woods that neither will soon forget.

Just spotlighting this one funny screenshot I found - this is one of the rare times in the game where my warlock Tav's patron (the Great Old One) ever comes up in the game. To my recollection, outside of characters conversationally mentioning that Tav has a warlock pact, my Tav's patron comes up when:

my Tav calls to it for help and it does not care at all that Jaheira is doing vine bondage on her

It encourages Tav to stick her arm into the slimy Moonrise hole because it is excited and curious about the Absolute

and, as shown above, when it wishes to express that it hates Dribbles the Clown

Honestly, amazing. The fact that Tav's patron is comparatively hands-off, but reserves one of its rare interjections, the only time it wants to CAUTION Tav instead of being indifferent to her peril, to express an extraplanar dislike of the clown is *chef's kiss*

Doodled my dragonborn warlock Mayarnin, (who is not a durge, though that could change tbh) but he’s a good boy! Lizard friend!!!! who likes pretty elf girl. mayaheart?. Leader of the group.

And his fey patron, the naiad Mélusine. Vampire kinda cute, funny. Astarion seduced her instead of the “leader” because she’s their patron. She would be the one who actually got the final say in if he stayed or not. And ended up actually falling for the fey. I like to call them Bloodwater!

She, in contrast to good boy Mayarnin, as is typical of fey, is a little shit. Was nerfed down to his level by the tadpole, all special abilities turned ‘off’, like Astarion’s vampiric strength and speed.

My bard/warlock Herb Bardlock tossed Astarion into the river for that. Down down down by the river the pailest princess goes like a knockoff Ophelia.

🌑Shadow Warlock- Orana🌑

Race: Human Origin: Charlatan Alignment: Chaotic Evil

In short, “The girl played with the darkness and climbed towards its ruler.”

📕Backstory: Orana grew up in a very strict family and since childhood she dreamed of wings like the Aasimars from legends and of freedom. When she became a teenager her parents forced her to marry the duke's drinking son to pay off their debt. Orana was furious but could not do anything with her parents or their decision. She got married and almost killed her hubby on her wedding night. She escaped, disguised as a maid, but her flight did not give her freedom - assassins were sent after her. Then Orana plunged into the lands cursed by darkness, where it was so dark that even the murderers would not risk following her. She studied shadow magic for some time in an effort to shackle the minds of her relatives and make them forget about her, and naively believed that her meager knowledge would be enough to withstand the darkness of the cursed lands. She was naive undoubtedly, but ultimately her plan was partially successful; some of the killers who dared to follow her were devoured by hungry shadows. She herself was without any light and her skills were barely enough to “avert her eyes” from the hungry shadows. Amazingly, the dark curse had almost no effect on her.

Orana did not dare to go beyond the cursed area and spent some time there, studying the shadows and their victims from the outside and even deceiving several assassins and taking their things. She slowly began to understand how this chaotic world of shadows worked. But the shadows also began to penetrate her body and consciousness, poisoning her. Dark magic beckoned her and she was unable to stop, finishing off shadow after shadow and collecting their robes. One day she found a lonely shadow that did not attack anyone and hardly moved at all. Without hesitation, Orana tried to finish her off, but she sank to the ground without strength, under the monstrous pressure of the darkness in her heart that had accumulated over all this time. And the shadow, which had a strange narrow cut of “eyes” in the halo of absolute nothing, did not even move… This shadow turned out to be the perverted spirit of this place, which once itself took the shadow into its possession. He became curious; intelligent beings could rarely get into the very center of the shadow, where he meditated, increasing his power. And even more so, very few tried to kill him. He saw in the barely alive girl the potential to increase his own influence and the opportunity to spread his influence beyond the borders of his domain. Moreover, the heart of the girl in front of him was already half swallowed by the shadow, but she was still conscious, albeit barely. He offered her a deal. He will “remake” her human essence so that she does not die and can cultivate shadow magic in herself and use it, and in return she will carry and sow shadows in other places, revealing the dark essence of people and allowing human vices to bloom. Orana didn’t think long, because shadow magic could make her wishes come true and she didn’t care that shadow magic is considered “evil”, because “good” magic has never helped her in her entire life… After accepting the contract, the Spirit of Shadows “remade” her body and initiated her into some of the secrets of magic that draws power from the shadows.

✒Character: Lives one day at a time, vindictive, sharp-tongued and rarely considers other people's opinions. Indulges any of his vices and whims, however, even being a twisted version of his former self, he still keeps his word. She enjoys bringing people together in conflicts and revealing the true essence of “ideal” people, because the quieter the pool, the more devils there are inside. He does not like “naive good-natured people” and tries to reveal their darkest thoughts with double effort, because he is afraid that these people can remind her of who she was and try to bring her back to the "light side".

🌀Skills: Major specialist in manipulation, intrigue and deception. He lies like he breathes. She feeds (both morally and physically) from human negativity and often provokes it herself. Doesn't shy away from dirty methods achieves everything not by force but by cunning and charm. In battle he uses magic that feeds on shadows.

✨Features: She originally had black hair and scarlet eyes, but after her body was “reforged,” her hair turned white and her eyes became two pools with a dull scarlet sparkle of her former color in the center. There's her contract stamp on her stomach, where she draws energy for her magic. She did get her wings, but not the way she wanted. She cannot fly, and her wings are made of shadow and can envelop those she touches.

📕 Предыстория: Орана росла в очень строгой семье и с детства мечтала о крыльях как у Аасимаров из преданий и о свободе. Когда она стала подростком, её родители заставили её принудительно выйти замуж за пьющего герцогского сынка в уплату своего долга. Орана была в ярости но ничего не могла сделать ни с родителями ни с их решением. Она вышла замуж и чуть не прикончила муженька в первую брачную ночь. Она сбежала, переодевшись служанкой, но бегство не подарило ей свободны - за ней послали убийц. Тогда Орана сунулась в проклятые тьмой земли, туда, где было настолько темно, что даже убийцы не рискнули бы за ней последовать. Она некоторое время изучала теневую магию в стремлении сковать разум родственников и заставить их забыть о ней и наивно полагала, что её скудных знаний хватит, чтобы противостоять тьме проклятых земель. Она была наивна, бесспорно, но в конечном счёте её план частично удался, некоторых убийц, которые рискнули за ней последовать сожрали голодные тени. Сама она была без всякого света и её навыков с трудом хватало чтобы "отводить глаза" голодным теням. Поразительно, но темное проклятье почти не действовало на неё. Орана не рискнула выходить за пределы зоны проклятья и провела там какое-то время, изучая тени и их жертв со стороны и даже обманув нескольких убийц и забрав их вещи. Она потихоньку начинала понимать как устроен этот хаотичный мир теней. Но и тени начали проникать в её тело и сознание, отравляя её. Темная магия манила её и она была не в силах остановиться, приканчивая тень за тенью и собирая их мантии. Однажды она нашла одинокую тень которая ни на кого не нападала и вообще почти не двигалась. Не долго думая, Орана попыталась её прикончить, но без сил осела на землю, под чудовищным давлением тьмы в сердце, накопившейся за всё время. А тень имеющая странный узкий разрез "глаз" в ореоле абсолютного ничего даже не шелохнулась… Эта тень оказалась извращённым духом этого места, который когда-то сам принял тень в свои владения. Ему стало любопытно, разумные существа редко могли пробраться в самый центр тени, где он медитировал, приумножая свою силу. И уж тем более очень немногие пытались его убить. Он увидел в едва живой девчонке потенциал к увеличению его собственного влияния и возможность распространить своё влияние за пределы своих владений. К тому же сердце девушки перед ним было уже на половину поглощено тенью, но она всё ещё была в сознании, хоть и едва. Он предложил ей сделку. Он "переделает" её человеческую сущность, чтобы она не умерла и могла взращивать в себе теневую магию и использовать её а взамен она будет нести и сеять тени в других местах, раскрывая темную суть людей и позволяя цвести порокам человеческим. Орана думала недолго, ведь теневая магия могла осуществить её желания и плевать на то, что магия теней считается "злой", ведь "хорошая" магия ни разу не помогла ей за всю жизнь… После принятия контракта Дух Теней "переделал" её тело и посвятил в некоторые тайны магии, черпающей силу из теней.

✒ Характер: Живет одним днём, злопамятная, остра на язык и редко считается с чужим мнением. Потакает любым своим порокам и прихотям, однако даже будучи извращённой версией себя прежней, всё ещё держит своё слово. Ей доставляет удовольствие сталкивать людей в конфликтах и раскрывать истинную сущность "идеальных" людей, ведь чем тише омут, тем больше внутри чертей. Недолюбливает "наивных добряков" и пытается выявить у них самые темные мысли с двойным усилием, поскольку боится, что эти люди могут напомнить ей о том, кем она была и попытаться вернуть ее на "светлую сторону".

🌀 Навыки: Крупный специалист по части манипуляций, интриг и подстав. Врёт как дышит. Подпитывается (и морально и физически) от людского негатива и сама часто провоцирует его. Не чурается грязных методов, добивается всего не силой а хитростью и обаянием. В бою использует магию, питающуюся тенями.

✨ Особенности: Изначально у нее были черные волосы и алые глаза, но после "перековки" её тела волосы побелели, а глаза стали двумя омутами с тусклой алой искрой её бывшего цвета по центру. На животе её контрактная печать, откуда она тянет энергию для своей магии. Она таки получила свои крылья, но не так как хотела. Летать она не может, а крылья состоят из тени и могут окутать тех, кого коснуться.

Chapter Summary: After recruiting Karlach, Wyll must face consequences from his Patron, Mizora. His transformation brings up some deeply unpleasant memories for Morgana. After overhearing her conversation with Triscyne, Astarion approaches Morgana in hopes of learning a bit more about her. He finds that they have quite a lot in common.
