For cute asks. Carlos and Lando taking engagement pictures. We know Carlos' family is more traditional and I just feel like they would want to make an official engagement announcement. And Charles is there like directing the whole thing.
People tell him he's photogenic, but Lando does not feel photogenic right now. His nose itches from the grass pollen.
Carlos has his arms wrapped around him from behind, and the post just feels unnatural and stilted. He can smell the uncomfortable notes in Carlos' scent. Great, if they're both this awkward and stiff, the photos will surely turn out great.
"Lando, move your hand to the side a little so you can show off your ring," the photographer, Ted, directs him. Lando has no idea where to move his hand to, and he feels himself getting annoyed.
Charles is watching from the sidelines, brows drawn together. When Lando shoots him a helpless look, he cocks one of them and then sucks on his teeth with the most judgemental noise known to man.
"This isn't working," Charles says, sauntering up next to Ted, who throws him a surprised look, not used to being critiqued on his work. After all, he's the most booked (and most expensive) wedding photographer in their area.
Behind Lando, Carlos slumps, letting out a quiet, exasperated laugh.
Lando half turns to grin up at him, giving him an eyeroll.
"Let's not ever do this again," Carlos jokes. There is sweat on his upper lip; it's hot and he's wearing a suit jacket. At least Lando got away with a (somewhat) modest dress.
Charles, in the meantime, is explaining Ted's job to him. "-unnatural pose, it's way too stiff. There needs to be more movement. They're not fourty, and it doesn't need to be this traditional."
"But the request was specifically for a traditional set!" Ted replies defensively.
"Well, show some creativity, Ted," Charles shoots back, gesturing to Carlos. "Take off that awful jacket, roll up your sleeves, shake out your hair a little bit. You look like you're trying to sell me something."
Ted has apparently decided that he's better off shutting his mouth and just doing whatever Charles tells him to do; Lando and Carlos are more used to it so it comes naturally to them.
Charles makes them walk around, dance, twirl, kiss, sit, stand, even lie down. But most importantly, he keeps telling them to just keep talking and laughing together.
When the photos are finished, they're beautiful. They look natural and intimate but still classy. Lando's mother cries when she sees them, so Lando counts that as a win.
Charles seems very satisfied with the results.
"You know," he says, "If you ever want to do a boudoir photoshoot, I'm happy to help as well."

tw:: anxiety/panic attack
I read an old cute ask about carlando and lando’s anxiety and I think he had his first panic attack with Carlos to not have to tell him he wasn’t feeling well to get out.
Like;
Lando has a real bad anxiety day when he had already made plans with Carlos so he’s just "yeah, I can get out. I can do It" so he didn’t have to reject Carlos.
Carlos was perfect at overcoming the panic attack, helping him to breathe, to count with him and giving him comfort and what he needs. Carlos brings Lando home. Lando receive a long and big hug from Max and Daniel and he's like, "Carlos was perfect."

Lando just feeling off and stressed all day, maybe he's got a lot of work to do for university, but he's kind of ignoring how stressed he is. Carlos wants to do something nice for him and offers him to go out for dinner (Lando also tends to not eat much when he's stressed so Carlos is trying to counteract that).
And Lando doesn't want to say no, it's so nice of Carlos, and yeah, he should eat a proper meal, so he agrees to go. But in the car there he realizes that he really, really can't be around other people right now, and the mere idea of sitting in a crowded restaurant makes him super anxious and uncomfortable.
He tries to push the feeling away, but it doesn't go away, and he just goes quiet and pale until they're in the paking lot. Carlos, not having noticed anything, is like "ok come on, we're here!" but Lando is just frozen in the passenger seat. Carlos asks if he's okay, and Lando just slowly shakes his head, tears welling up, and whispers "I don't think I can do this today. I think I'm having a panic attack."
And Carlos just scrambles to hold him while Lando cries, lets him get it all out, he's just there for him until Lando can calm down. Lando confesses to him how he didn't think it was gonna be this bad, and how he didn't want to say no because Carlos was so nice, but Carlos tells him that he can of course always say no!
They drive by McD on the way home, and Lando eats fries wrapped in a blanket in his nest at home instead. <3

Baby Alpha Lando owns my heart
I can just imagine his and Carlos first time. Lil virgin Lando trying his best coz he wants to make Carlos feel really good. Carlos giving him tips but slowly struggling to speak coz Lando is so fucking good. Lando needing constant affirmation coz he's so nervous and thinks he's doing everything wrong. They hadn’t meant for it to be such a huge ordeal. They had just walked by the store, and Max had said „Oh, this one is pretty!“ and Charles had said „You should try it on!“ and Lando had said „No!“, and now he was standing there, arms out, covered in ivory colored, rhinestone-covered silk.
„It’s very princess-like,“ the sale assistant went on, „Very luxurious. The silk is imported from Italy, and the stones are genuine Swarovski crystals-“
Charles, who had his head cocked critically, interrupted her. „Could you get us a belt or something? I don’t like how the waistline looks.“
The assistant’s face soured ever so slightly. „Of course, one moment.“
The second she was gone, Max asked, „How do you feel in this?“
„I feel like a creme puff!“ Lando burst out. He knew he sounded whiney, but he couldn’t help it. Just being in this much fabric was overwhelming.
„Bursting with Carlos’ creme,“ Charles smirked. Lando rolled his eyes at him. „Ha-ha.“
„It looked much nicer in the window,“ Max admitted, sounding disappointed.
„It’s the-,“ Charles was interrupted by his phone starting to vibrate. „Ah! Nico!“ He took the FaceTime call, immediately pointing the camera at Lando. „What do you think of this? In your professional opinion.“
Lando awkwardly waved at the camera with an un-enthusiastic „Hi Nico…“
„Absolutely not,“ Nico’s tinny voice immediately sounded from the phone’s speaker, „Terrible. Get it off now. You need something way more sleek, you look like a four year old’s birthday cake!“
„I hate it,“ Lando admitted, „But I have no idea what I want!“
„Clearly not this,“ Charles said, walking around Lando to show Nico the back of the dress.
„Are those Swarovski crystals?“ Nico sounded genuinely offended.
„…I don’t think they’re that awful,“ Max mumbled, crossing his arms.
„It’s hideous,“ Nico said.
The assistant chose that exact moment to come back with an equally sparkly belt, her face souring even more. „Ah, is that the bride’s mother on the phone?“
Charles managed to terminate the call right before Nico started using offensive language.
„You know what,“ he told the assistant, pointedly dropping his phone into his purse, „I don’t think this is what we are looking for. Thank you so much for your time though.“
Lando couldn’t wait to get out of this mountain of fabric.
Once they were out of the shop, he felt like he could breathe again. „That was terrible.“
„I really didn’t think it was that bad!“ Max argued.
„It could have looked cute on someone else,“ Charles agreed, looping his arm through Max’s comfortingly, „Someone with more curves, maybe.“
„Yeah…,“ Lando said slowly, finally picking up on why Max was so disappointed, „…it just didn’t feel very me.“
„Hmm, yeah,“ Max agreed, a little more satisfied now.
Charles’ phone kept going off in his purse nonstop. He fished it out, looking at the screen with his nose scrunched up.
„Nico is demanding you come by his atelier,“ he told Lando, „He has four different designs done already.“
Lando inhaled deeply. „…can we get ice cream first? I need sugar to prepare myself for that.“

I don’t know, Carlos has a daughter (like a 2 y.o. little girl) from a previous relationship with someone. they had decided to keep her and take care of her together, but in the end it's just Carlos

Carlos never tires of trying to get Lando to eat new foods; food is a very pleasurable and important part of his life and he just wants to share it with Lando!
I think they have an agreement about raising the girls that Lando tries not to let it show too much when he doesn't like something, and always still encourages them to try whatever food even if he does not enjoy it so they don't become picky eaters.
which is good, but it also ends up with Lando trying not to gag while putting Lucía to bed after she had salmon with Carlos at the restaurant lmao

Lando loves to take care of Carlos (just to say). although at first Carlos was a bit reluctant, he begins to love the little things that Lando does for him
I think Carlos has it deeply ingrained in him that he needs to be independant and is not allowed to take help from anyone, no matter how much he needs it, and asking for help is basically a no-go. So being in this very serious relationship with Lando (which, I recently realized, is probably the first PROPER serious relationship Carlos has ever been in- before it was always more... flings and short term stuff) AND having the pack around is a BIG lesson in letting people help him and be there for him.
And I think he is especially endeared by the little things they all do for him, especially Lando of course. Whether it's scratching his hair after a long day, letting him sleep on him, bringing him tea in the morning, sending him photos of dogs he sees during the day or texting him to get home safe after work, it always leaves Carlos feeling sooooo tender.

With Carlos being all clean, proper, and organized, what was his reaction to Lando being the opposite of that?
It can be a struggle for them, but they also kind of complete each other? Carlos brings some order and organization into Lando’s life, while Lando shows Carlos that not everything always has to be perfect to be okay. I do think that sometimes it drives Carlos crazy when Lando is completely chaotic, but it’s something they deal with, and something that both of them just have to learn to accept.
I also think that once they live in their own house, it’s Carlos who does a lot of the organizing and cleaning!

Yes! He makes a whole ordeal out of bringing him tissues and cold medication... but at the same time he also wears a mask and tells Carlos to stay away from him because he's absolutely 100% sure he will catch whatever Carlos has 😂

Inspired by the Carlos airsickness ask and my own discovery of TMJ, I’m now thinking of Carlos accidentally giving himself/getting TMJ because he keeps clenching his jaw reflexively during the day and while he sleeps during his and Lando’s dating era
I love that suddenly, 30 year old people diseases are something we talk about here 😂
but yes, that's weirdly a VERY Carlos thing. He clenches his jaw all day basically, and even when he has the bite guards, he clenches just because Lando is such a temptation <3
Eventually it starts giving him migraines so he goes to the doctor who orders him to go to physical therapy; Carlos is minimally embarrassed over having to get physical therapy for Being Too Horny.
Sometimes Lando gives him gentle jaw massages. Daniel offers to stretch him jaw in a different way. 👀
