Some countries hit you with feelings immediately when you enter. And the feeling I was hit with was wealth. It felt clean, safe and bougie. I was riding around and stopped at a crosswalk for a police officer walking. He looked and me and started walking towards me. Oh gosh, this is it, Crystal, they found you. He was the most polite human ever and told me to turn on my headlights in the daytime because Luxembourg requires it. Oh, what? That’s all? Okay, no problem. I was also eating at a cafe and asked if motorcycles get stolen here. The owner looked at me like it was the most ridiculous question ever and told me “That doesn’t happen here, Luxembourg is very safe.” I felt very relieved. What a difference from all the cities I’ve traveled to.
