#happy world bipolar day to all my bp babies#(more thoughts at the end of the tags)#shameless#shamelessnet#shamelessedit#ian gallagher#cameron monaghan#*macygifs#bipolar disorder#hello pals how are we doin#i made this gif set in july of 2023 and never posted it because 1) i was terrified to share it and potentially see Bad Takes in the tags#and 2) because my hyperfixation was waning. and while both of those things are still mostly true (the fixation comes and goes)#i feel like it's really important to share as ian's bipolar storyline was not only so vital to his character it was a bit of representation#that isn't often given to the disorder and those (like myself) who live with it every single day#world bipolar day is a day where we can both celebrate ourselves and our resilience and also raise awareness of the reality of the disorder#which is both terrifying and beautiful at its core. this disease is not a death sentence or a sentence to an unfulfilled and miserable life#while there are challenges galore when it comes to balancing life with this disorder it IS possible to live a full and productive life#and i think it's really important to have representation of that in media - and while shameless dropped the ball on a LOT of storylines#over the years THIS is the one they really fucking nailed and i am incredibly grateful#i first started watching shameless while in the midst of a major depressive episode and i was later (finally) diagnosed during an extended#hypo/manic episode - this show and ian's storyline got me through so much and made me feel so seen and validated in my struggles#world bipolar day is also vincent van gogh's birthday (happy birthday buddy) who was posthumously diagnosed with bipolar disorder#and who experienced both depressive and hypo/manic episodes during his lifetime (and was regularly institutionalized)#it takes a lot of help and support to keep us going. it takes the support of our family and friends and *most* of all#it takes patience and kindness and understanding - which is so so so easy to give if you are willing to love and listen#so please. be willing. listen to our stories. be patient with us. show us love without conditions. support us in any way you can.#we are worth it#i promise#anyway. that's really all i wanted to say. happy world bipolar day to those who celebrate (me) and may all of us living with this disorder#go on to live happy fulfilling beautiful magical lives

So.
I could be so wrong about this but I gotta get it out of my head.
Vincent and Rody would make a slightly better pairing than Manon and Rody-
HEAR ME OUT.
The reason why Manon broke up with Rody was because of the fact that he was far too self-sacrificing in thier relationship. Which like GOOD FOR HER, THAT AIN'T GOOD-
But when you take a look at Vincent's actions, he's just as self sacrificing, just in a lot more of a brutal way. Going out of his way to KILL PEOPLE just to make some food that Rody would enjoy. The same way that Rody would constantly want to get money to get Manon things to keep her in his life.
It wouldn't be HEALTHY, both of them being far too self-sacrificing and just obsessive, but it makes sense for them since their both the same level of batshit over whoever they feel either romantic to [or have a general wanting to impress, like Vince with wanting to make food for Rody]

#I actually finished a wip after abandoning it for so long alright iconic moment for me personally#this is them in the cab coming back from the warrens after getting their asses handed to them by all the szlachta#she handled herself a lil better but vincent is squishy and almost died like. 10 times#vtm#vtmb#the fledgling#brujah#oc.vince#oc.pepper#ship: viper#sleepyscribble#she looks a lil sad bc yk she nearly lost the dude and she starts realizing she liiikes hiiiiiim teehee#she legit doesn't know what she would do if she rlly lost him#but she doesn't think she's in love ofc ofc it's just that yk he's the only person she really feels like she can trust#and the only one she feels really good around and who she feels she could tell anything to#and tbh she hasn't felt this way with anyone else in a long long time even before she became undead and had to deal w the other kindred#but that's normal for a friendship yk this is just a really strong friendship why ruin it with romance right that's stupid#no she wasn't watching him take his shirt off with her eyes almost popping out of her skull the other day shhh that didn't happen#she doesn't even remember he has freckles on his back and a scar on his shoulder. the left one. she doesn't remember she wasn't even lookin#ANYWAY no lust no feelings she's fine don't worry abt it 👍🏻

Jason Voorhees
You run, your legs already aching from the strain, and finally find yourself at a dead end. You turn around to face the behemoth chasing you. But once he sees you like that, Jason lowers his weapon and begins to walk off.
Confusion clouds your mind for a moment, so you find yourself calling after him. "Uhm, weren't you going to kill me just now?"
He turns around and signs:"I don't kill kids."
Now it's anger that makes you reckless. "What the... I'm not a kid! Come on, I know I'm short but not *that* short!"
He gives you another thoughtful look, shrugs and walks off, not quite believing you.
Vincent Sinclair
Vincent does not kill children on principle, so he has been purposefully avoiding you. Which made you think it was okay to go on the attack. But when you finally confront him, a hunting knife from the weapon shop in hand, he just patronisingly pats your head and tries to take it out of your hand. That's when you realize what is going on.
"I am NOT a child, you know. Why do people keep mistaking me for a kid?!"
His one good eye widens.
"You know what", you tell him. "Forget about it. I'm outta here."
Unfortunately, the knowledge that you are not in fact a child puts you back into the "target" category. So you might wanna run.
Freddy Krueger
It is kinda hard to tell if he really mistakes you for a child, or just pretends to because he knows it makes you mad. But he does talk to you like you are one, and that alone is infuriating enough. But your fury only makes him laugh.
Brahms Heelshire
"How can another kid be my nanny?", he asks through the phone, on the first night of you taking the job. His voice is that of a child, you can't even tell it is a grown man just faking a little boy's voice.
"You see, Brahms", you begin, trying to fight down the frustration that boils up in you every time you are mistaken for a kid. "Adults come in all shapes in sizes, and I happen to be on the short end of the spectrum. But that doesn't mean I am not an adult. Okay?"
Silence on the other end. Then:"Okay. I guess."
Bubba Sawyer
You let out a loud "FUCK" while you try to evade Bubba, and he stops, and waves his raised index finger in front of your face, as if to tell you that someone your (appearant) age shouldn't be speaking like this.
You smack his hand aside. "I'm a *fucking* adult, I talk however I *fucking* want. And why would you *fucking* care anyway?"
An adult? But you're so small? He looks at you with a tilted head and visible confusion on his face.
