My Headcanons for How Every Member of the DRDT Cast Sleeps:

Yes, this is rather random and strangely specific, but for some reason I have a lot of headcanons for this.

Teruko: She can fall asleep literally anywhere if she has to, since on the run she couldn’t count on having a bed to sleep in each night. Sleeps sprawled out on the edge of her bed, as proven by this CG:

Xander: Snores very loudly. And since the building DRDT takes place in has not-at-all-sound-proof walls, this means that Teruko and David have to deal with all the noise while trying to fall asleep, since they had the misfortune of being assigned the rooms next to his.

David: Doesn’t sleep. /hj

Rose: This one’s pretty obvious. She can fall asleep anywhere, in any position. It doesn’t matter how loud her environment is, she can and will fall asleep.

Levi: The fact that he was apparently the only one to hear the commotion when Ace was banging on Nico’s door after they failed to murder him suggests he’s a very light sleeper. He probably sleeps on his back with his hands folded across his stomach.

Nico: They have a lot of stuffed animals, and they make sure to sleep with each one of them for the same amount of nights so that none of them feel left out. They curl up like a cat when they sleep, unsurprisingly.

Veronika: Sleeps on her back with her arms crossed in an ‘X’ over her chest, much like a corpse or a vampire. She sleeps like the dead, and the only way you’ll be able to get her to wake up is by shaking her a lot.

Ace: Curls up into a ball under many blankets, often being startled awake by nightmares or even the slightest noise. Meaning he is a literal ball of anxiety when he sleeps. He still sleeps with a stuffed animal, but will take that secret to his grave.

J: All of her pajamas have to be black or some other dark color, and will usually be comprised of a tank top and shorts. That way, she can feel cool and tough even when she just woke up. The best way to describe her sleeping position is ‘doesn’t give a fuck’.

Min: She makes her bed every morning, unlike the other cast members. She does, however, usually keep a book on the end of her bed that will often fall to the floor when she inevitably accidentally nudges it in the middle of the night. If she doesn’t fall asleep while reading a book, which she often does. She’ll often sleep with an open book resting on her chest.

Hu: Sleeps in a night gown with her hair up in a bun, and is the only one besides Min to actually make her bed each morning. She’s a relatively light sleeper.

Arturo: Let’s be honest. He’d probably own a body pillow of some famous celebrity and cuddle with it at night.

Arei: Wears a blue sleeping mask that probably says something like, ‘Wake me up and you die!’ in a glittery, cutesy font. She’s a very light sleeper, since her sisters used to try to play pranks on her or steal things from her room as she slept.

Eden: She is a VERY deep sleeper. She acts like the three alarm clocks on her nightstand are just for show, since she made them and they look very pretty…But in reality she needs to have multiple going off in rapid succession in order for her to wake up.

Whit: His bed coverings are all some shade of pink. He also somehow always smiles in his sleep. It would seem his efforts to always look and feel happy 24/7 are even transferred to his sleeping, subconscious state.

Charles: He would really like to have a stuffed animal to cuddle, but he has deemed himself ‘too old and mature’ to have one. So instead he’ll just cuddle a pillow.

Arturo Giles - a toothbrush so he can use his toothpaste hair to brush his teeth

Charles Cuevas - illegally purchased uranium

Rose Lacroix - one of those super duper all inclusive cheap art sets for kids so she can really test her forgery skills

J Rosales - a Walkman and all of my favorite albums on CD so she can be exposed to my elite taste in music while still being cool

Hu Jing - I would get her bass guitar lessons only to benefit me bc then I would make her teach me how to play the bass guitar, and she’d probably be good at it bc she is already stellar at the zither

Also I believe Teruko says something about how everyone else is going to die, but also David says that in/after the first trial and then he pretty much said it during the second trial- Also, I guess I have similar clothing to him- and ik he doesn't like his star hairclip- but I do like celestial/galaxy things and would gladly wear it- and I can be sarcastic and snarky sometimes- I used to be worse with it in the past- Also August birthday-

I like horror, not as much as she does- but still- We have the same birthday my natural hair color had streaks in it- I don't like boredom. I rant a lot when I like something-

I used to dress very girly when I was younger- I like doing SFX (Even if it's just SFX makeup-) I do not like pink by itself- I have dyed hair

+Listen, I don't want to overthink the Q&A too much, but my brain won't let me be normal about some things. The birthday thing caught my eye. Supposedly, some of the dates are important, but the rest are meant to be spread out, right? But Veronika and David's birthdays are, like, two days apart, so does that mean they're important? Same with Ace and Arei (ike three days), but at least Ace's birthday is Halloween so it's not hard to figure out. I don't remember most of the other birthdays, so I don't know if there's more examples.

+Why is this the "new David"'s default sprite? Is he so smug it runs all the way to his default pose? What.

+New info on the Spurlings! This is getting outta hand, now there's two of them! I'm really intrigued as to what the hell their deal is. And Duke could have been alive during the Tragedy? What are we implying here? So many questions!

+Ace is officially gay! Many people are happy with this development. Though I have to ask, did anyone ship him with any woman? Now that I think about it, I don't think I've ever seen that. Anyways, not like it matters now!

+Pan Veronika, pan Veronika, pan Veronika yes! I love it! New headcanon; she just dates/has sex with anyone she thinks will be entertaining to date/fuck. "Bit-sexual", as internet funnyman Alpharad would put it.

+I swear the David sexuality thing is an actual quote from somewhere. Hold on.

My Headcannons About The Despair Time Cast Playing Super Smash Bros. Together

I randomly got this idea and decided I needed to post about it.

Xander has accidentally broken three controllers. He gets really into the game and forgets how strong he is. MonoTV bans him from the console for a few weeks every time, yet he never learns his lesson. He doesn’t know any of the characters’ names, but he does know he always plays as ‘the really cool sword guy!!’ (Link).

Nico always plays as the animal characters (If you count Pokémon as animals), and sometimes Kirby because they like how cute and gender neutral the character looks.

The cast thought David would play as a cute animal crossing character or something, but no. Ridley. Ridley every single round, and he has to fight the urge to laugh in the loser’s face every time he wins. Unless someone else wants to be Ridley, then he will grumpily gladly choose a different character.

Arei will not hesitate to laugh in your face when she wins. She plays as any cute character, because she thinks it’s hilarious when the buff, sword-carrying dudes lose to tiny, pink fluff balls. She will, without a doubt, resort to foul play if she starts losing and will knock the controller out of her opponent’s hand to win.

J refuses to play as any girly-looking character. It’s always some super buff guy, like Snake. Or at least she always played as a buff guy until she learned Samus was a girl who dressed up in a cool armor suit to beat up aliens, and started playing as her from that point onward. She will also laugh in the loser’s face when she wins.

Ace is pretty good, but only if he plays as a Princess character. Otherwise he sucks. And he’s too prideful to pick a Princess character most of the time, so he almost always sucks. The rest of the class didn’t know this until Arei made fun of him for being terrible at the game and challenged him to a one-on-one round. Princess Peach never looked more ferocious…Until Arei stole Ace’s remote and wouldn’t give it back until she’d killed his character ten times.

Levi doesn’t play most of the time, but when he does, he lets whoever’s closest to him pick his character. It usually doesn’t matter who he’s playing as, because he’ll probably end up accidentally running off the stage repeatedly or get the jump and punch button confused with each other (He doesn’t play video games a lot).

Teruko plays as Bayonetta, for no reason other than Bayonetta being cool and badass. She’ll usually get really close to winning, only for her controller to run out of batteries at the last second, even if they’d charged it five minutes prior. Or worse, the console overheats and completely shuts down (once it caught on fire). So she, like Levi, also usually just watches.

Eden sometimes plays as Ness, who seems small and cute and innocent until suddenly he’s shouting ‘EAT FIRE!!!!’ in your face over and over again and forever trapping you in his eternal flames. But despite her prowess as Ness, Eden usually chooses whatever characters no one else will pick, because she feels like those characters must feel left out and sad that no one plays as them. But she’ll make them feel better!!! Even if it means losing.

Veronika loves to play as the monster characters, especially Ridley, because Ridley is the scariest. She often will narrate her attacks and give extremely gruesome details about how many bones her opponents have broken and how many organs they’ll have to replace after the fight.

Arturo is often forced to play when Veronika does, and he will play as any hot, pretty character. If he loses, it’s not the beautiful, amazing character’s fault, it’s his. He’ll never understand why Veronika likes playing as the ugly monsters.

Rose likes to play as Jigglypuff, because Jigglypuff always makes characters fall asleep without warning, and looks like a fluffy pillow Rose would like to snuggle. She likes to jokingly blame her terrible sleep schedule on an invisible Jigglypuff that follows her around everywhere.

Min claims video games are a distraction from her studies, but eventually the class persuaded her to play. Before she did, however, she did a fair amount of research on which character would be best for her to choose, and eventually settled on Zelda because she read Zelda had a cool teleporting power.

Whit plays as whatever character he can think of the most puns for. For example, if he were to sneeze right before he picks? “Well, I guess this is a sign that I should pick Pik-achoo!! Get it? Because ‘achoo’ is the sound effect for sneezes in comics and stuff?” “Yes, Whit, now please pick your character already.”

Charles always plays as Dr. Mario, because the character has a respectable profession and therefore, must be the most talented. Charles isn’t very good, since he never played video games as a kid, but Whit calling him various doctor-related, punny nicknames makes up for it (Even if he’d never admit that).

Hu is often the supervisor, trying to make sure no one angrily throws a remote across the room or turns off the console when they’re losing (*cough* Arei *cough*). But when she decides to join a round, she plays as an Animal Crossing villager, because they carry butterfly-catching nets, and she really likes butterflies.

Veronika hates taking down her Halloween decorations, so she’ll dress them up for different holidays.

At Christmas, her life-sized skeleton—that a smaller, seven-year-old Veronika named ‘Mr. Skeleton’ (very creative, I know)—will be wearing a Santa hat and she’ll hang bat ornaments on the Christmas tree. Fake spiders scattered around the house get tiny, red-and-green bows tied around their middle. (Or if she celebrates Hanukkah, the menorah has fake spider webs on it—er, wait, that might be too flammable…maybe black and orange candles are used instead).

For Valentine’s Day, Mr. Skeleton now wears pink, heart-shaped sunglasses and romance novels that end tragically are placed on shelves around the house next to Veronika’s favorite horror novels. Veronika makes a cake shaped like a human heart, with jelly inside that looks like blood.

For St. Patrick’s Day, sickly green curtains are put up that block out most outside light, and Mr. Skeleton wears a long necklace with shamrocks on it. Veronika tapes three-leafed clovers (made of paper) to the bottoms of the fake spiders, and one lucky one has a four-leaf clover (she challenges guests to find it sometimes).

Her parents usually tried to make her take them down after that, since they deemed six months out of twelve (October to March) was quite enough time to have the decorations up. Veronika tried to leave a few little things out anyway. But now she’s in college and her dorm room is decorated all year round! Mr. Skeleton will never be shoved in the closet again, much to his relief.

Teruko: teruko is the most average luigi player on this planet I am glad we’re in agreement

Xander: kinda guy to play metal mario but specifically the gold skin

Min: Yoshi, she’d have a soft spot for him for sure, just green yoshi

Arei: she would ALWAYS pick heavy characters. King Boo would be her usual pick, I think. she likes to knock people off the track

Charles: he only knows mario so he would play mario and suck at the game and get mad and quit
