Visit Varanasi: A fascinating blend of history and spirituality
Tumblr media
A wonderful fusion of history, culture, art, and spirituality can be found in Varanasi. Travelers and foodies love to visit this city since it is one of the oldest continually inhabited towns in the world. The city's numerous ghats that extend along the banks of the Ganga River give it an old-world beauty. Every ghat has a name and is embellished with medieval walls. Each ghat's nightly Ganga aartis, conducted by the priests, is a sight to behold. In the streets and alleyways of the city, bells from the temples may be heard ringing. Varanasi is referred to as the "Temple Town," yet it has a lot more to offer than simply temples. Every street has something special to offer in terms of flavor, history, and tradition. Varanasi excursion has so much to offer to tourists that all year round you will find people visiting Varanasi.
When you book the Varanasi city tour package, you will witness that in Hindu mythology, Varanasi is regarded as a very sacred location where people feel they might find redemption. Although it serves as a reminder of the cycle of life and death, it also helps us to appreciate the vivacious life all around us. It is said that if a person dies in Varanasi, they attain nirvana.
Try out the famous street food in Varanasi:
While Varanasi is famous for being the Spiritual Capital of India, it is also the place where you can find a variety of mouth watering street foods across the street. The following street foods should be noted if you're a foodie hoping to enjoy some delicacies on your next Varanasi street food tour.
Tamatar Chaat: This popular snack found at Varanasi's renowned food stalls is loved by both residents and visitors. Visit Kashi Chaat Bhandar at Godowlia Road to try this out.
Malaiyyo: This is a sweet dish that can only be found in Varanasi during winter. It's made of milk foam and has a unique preparation process that makes it melt-in-the-mouth delicious. Thatheri Bazar in old Banaras is quite famous for Malaiyyo.
Kachori Sabzi: Everyone loves this delicious combination, whether they're locals, tourists, or of any age. Visit the famous Ram Bhandar at Thatheri Bazar and try this delicious dish.
Banarasi Paan: When you hear Banaras, you probably think of Banarasipaan, which is a type of paan that is sweet and doesn't contain tobacco or lime. It's usually flavored with gulkand, fennel seeds, and a few soft suparis. Although you will find banarasipaan everywhere, the most famous is Keshav Paan Bhandar at Mahmoorganj which you can consider visiting.
Experience the boat ride in the surreal Ganga River:
Particularly at sunrise and sunset, taking a boat ride on the Ganga River is a breathtaking experience. Either a hand-rowed boat or one that is motorized are options. For a certain price and duration, a hand-rowed boat may be rented. A one-hour hand-rowed boat excursion can vary from season to season but it provides stunning views of the ghats. It's advisable to take a Varanasi tour guide later in the day for stunning images of the ghat from the boat.
Take a tour of Sarnath which is a Buddhist pilgrimage:
A famous Buddhist pilgrimage site, Sarnath is 10 km from Varanasi. It is thought that here is where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon following his enlightenment at Bodh Gaya. The area is home to a number of historic buildings, including the Chaukhandi and Dhamekh stupas, where Lord Buddha initially met his first five pupils. Archaeological discoveries like the Dharmrajika Stupa and Mulgandhkuti Vihar may be found in abundance in Sarnath. Varanasi Sarnath tour package is an ideal choice for you if you wish to explore Sarnath.
Varanasi, being one of the oldest cities in the world, has infrastructure issues, but it is developing. Ram Mandir Tour, Ayodhya
The fact that this is the only temple in India to have an idol of Lord Rama alongside those of his brothers Bharata, Laksmana, and Shatrughna has contributed to the temple's celebrity both inside and outside of India. This is one of the reasons why the temple is so well-known. In addition, there are sculptures at this temple that portray Lord Hanuman and Goddess Sita. According to the ancient book referred to as the Ramayana, the city of Ayodhya is said to have been the location where Lord Ram, the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu, was born. In addition to its well-known temples and monuments, the city of Ayodhya is home to a number of holy ghats that are accessible to guests. These ghats are located along the banks of the River Saryu. Due to the fact that it is a town of pilgrims, this is the best location to acquire carved marble and wooden idols of Lord Ram, Sita, and Lakshman. These idols depict the three main characters from the Ramayana. You may buy a broad range of various kinds of religious memories, such as t-shirts with religious text printed on them, key chains decorated with figurines of Lord Ram and Sita, and images of temples. The Rumali Roti has found a place for itself in the Indian culinary canon. This is without a doubt one of the most famous dinners in all of Ayodhya and it is traditionally accompanied by a wide selection of side dishes that make use of sauces to round off the feast.
Please don't hesitate to get in contact with one of our experienced Trip Counselors if you have any questions about the educational and cost-effective Ayodhya trips we provide.
