Good movie! I didn’t love the characterizations and idk why the would make Jesse a love interest. They spent so long setting up the exposition that the final battle took like 3 minutes and sucked lol. Like she’s akasha queen of vampires! however are we going to defeat her?!? Well we’re going to exploit her one and only weakness……physical damage….! Marius made lestat which I thought was silly and they were like He’s Roman! And then the actor had a Swiss accent? I was not pleased with this at first because part of lestats thing is that he was thrust into this world without consent or counsel and he had both in the movie but Marius did actually chain him to a bed and then abandon him in the middle of the night so they were able to capture the “inherent loneliness” factor of the book. Plus they didn’t even have time to name like half of the major players but for in the credits lol. Khayman looked like a ghost for some fucking reason it was really funny but I was disappointed cause he’s described as handsome on the book! Pandora was there and so was Mael and they, like khayman had no lines and were only named in the credits. Armand was blond but he had the most beautiful soulful eyes so I allow it. Armand is all about the eyes. To Me. Tbh I think Armand was kind of a fusion of Armand and Louis (beautiful brown eyes, looked particularly youthful, but highly expressive and looked deeply concerned about everything, he seemed to be youngest and the one who retained the most humanity among them. I’m giving them a LOT of credit right now because he received a total of like 5 minutes of screen time) I wish they’d made a TVL movie and then maybe even 2 QotD movies cause they had a lot of really good aesthetics and ideas but there was simply too much to include in the movie! I want to know about the assembly of the vampire counsel! I want to see more of Armand and khayman and Pandora and maharet! I want literally any context about any of these characters! Lestat was brunet, and despite being from France he had an Irish accent which I could not stop fucking laughing at. Every time he opened his mouth I could not help but giggle. Like they’re like Lestat’s journal! Omg! And I go it would be so fucking funny if this was in French. And then “je suis le Vamoire Lestat…” and I had to pause the movie cause I was laughing so aggressively. I wish they didn’t straightwash it and we could have had those really tender moments at night island and in New Orleans but it was acceptable! In fact it was silly and goofy and even fun!!!

Okokok ig I would rather be a vampire than a werewolf bc vamoires are hotter and it fits my aesthetic better, however the idea of living forever is nauseating
