Armored Core 6 main cast thoughts. spoilers for all endings

btw. categorizing endings by number rather than if they're "good" or bad" because i think thats stupid. if you categorize them like that you're a fool! Coral take you!

Starting off with Handler Walter. Went into the game not trusting him at all. Whenever he said anything I always thought "Yeah, okay, whatever Walter. in that kind of mocking tone but that changed quicker than i thought once i realized there was a genuine care in his voice and started putting the pieces together for his end-goal. The second ending is genuinely heartbreaking. He really meant every word he said to you. And I adore him for it. View him like a father now

Moving on, Ayre. My beautiful coral anomaly wife.. her kinder and more supportive demeanor immediately sold me, of course, but it was her efforts to actually get me to care about Rubicon as a planet and it's people that really hit. It's special. It's tasteful. It feels great. And it hurts all the more in the first ending when I have to discard all of that. It sucked so much. I was on the verge of tears throughout the whole final boss of the first ending. Worst break-up of my life. Girl I love you so much

Up next, speaking of love, is "Cinder" Carla, who I fell in love with like, 2 lines in? Very attractive voice and then an incredible personality to go with it. Probably the most fun character in the game by design and it goes a long way. She's like a role model to me. I want to be her and I want to date her at the same time. She's just like me Fr. I want to kiss her

transitioning from that to V.IV- SIKE IT'S "CHATTY" STICK TIME Phenomenal. Absolutely incredible performance. Absolutely sells the no emotion AI aspect without being too overbearing. Armored core as a series has always had a high standard for AI characters, and chatty is absolutely at the top of the pile for me along with Chief from V... I love him so much... The strongest little soldier...

Up next, for real now, is V.IV Rusty. What a strong first impression. It was always his line that stuck with me from the trailer. Ready to climb over the wall? They nailed the "rival pilot who's just like you but in another faction" to a degree I haven't seen in decades. A genuine brother in arms. My best buddy in the world. Every time he showed up in the game he just did the coolest fucking thing in the world. Slides right under the door as its opening. Crackshot sniper nailing insane headshots. And then he gets the coolest fights in the game against you. BOTH OF THEM!! HE'S SO COOL!!! HE'S HIM!!!!!! I WAS SO HAPPY IN THE SECOND ENDING ROUTE TO FIGHT ALONGSIDE HIM!!!! THATS MY BROTHER!!!!!! THATS MY BUDDY!!!!!!!!!

..Ahem, moving on then. V.II Snail. Yes. Another motherfucker they nailed perfectly. From the first SECOND you hear his voice you hate him. The fact his head's up his own ass. The fact you keep learning over and over throughout the game that he's SUCH a piece of shit. The fact there is nothing he wouldn't do to stay on top. Despicable little man. Absolutely brilliant antagonist.

And now, finally, the last main character to talk about is G5 Iguazu. Where to begin with this guy... Right from the get go you understand the kind of character he is. All bark, no bite. Every now and then you run into him, you kick his ass, he whines and seemingly gets away. It's interesting, then, that in the second playthrough, already, he shows up more. He sends an assassin after you. And that's that. Nothing until route 3, where it all finally comes together. How he keeps coming back. The ringing in his ears. His hatred and envy of you so strong he gives up his entire body just for a chance to beat you. He's fascinating to me. For whatever reason, his final words stick to me like glue. How he sees you, despite everything. A relic, yes, but one who's free. He wanted those wings, too. I've really come to love him, and what an annoying brat he is. That's his entire charm. He is welcome to the pantheon of Real Haters

Today's second combo is Winter Wonder Skye! Wonder Skye was a survey concept that had a long time coming and man, does she look amazing! ❤️ When she was leaked, I absolutely adored her design and back bling (seriously, they're two little plush wings and it's adorable) and knew I'd wanted her. I was worried though because I couldn't initially find much that worked with her that was holiday themed and didn't want to spend 1,200 V-bucks for just the back bling. It took a little bit of time, but I tried going for more of a fashion route with her since this take on her definitely is more fashion forward than the original. A cute little backpack, a wrap that stretched her yellow scarf, and an adorable glider that looked like a giant toy she could have gotten for Christmas. As for the pickaxe, I've been wanting to use it but nothing really worked with it. And man I'm glad I finally got my chance because it's such a nice design with a cute little detail with the gingerbread man with a suspiciously square bitmark— a detail found in the Chapter 1; Season 7 trailer featuring the endearing stop animation of Crackshot getting ready for Santa and taking a bite out of one of the cookies that left the same square bitemark in it. Such a cute detail! If you guys are looking for a good skin to pick up this year that isn't too flashy and can be worn outside of the holidays— I highly suggest picking up Winter Wonder Skye.         IT WAS OVER.  blood was a slow expansion on the floor, becoming exposed from beneath the body it spilled from.  it was a painting of horror as the monster’s face was still etched into an expression of rage and his limbs were splayed. within his hold, weapon was grasped firmly, and cat eyed it as though his finger would move to pull the trigger once again.  inside her chest, her heart was THUDDING, each beat making her feel as though the entirety of haggard form was trembling at the movements.  shaking, shuddering, arms started to feel as though they were turning to concrete, and they dropped, the rifle she had still held tight.  her fingers were clenching.  tighter and tighter and tighter.  knuckles pale white, wrists aching, she couldn’t breathe, she couldn’t breathe couldn’t breathe couldn’t-

                  wobbly step backward, n e a r collapse, vision swimming yet somehow focused.  copper’s entire being unmoving but coming at her.  finally, with a gasp, one knee hit the floor, brain barely registering the jolt up her thigh.  other leg fought to stay up, stay ready.  shoulders pulled in close, muscles were burning.  teeth gritted now despite the panic zipping in and out of her lungs.  he couldn’t be dead, he was still alive, he was coming, he was coming.  rifle was whipped back up.  or so she thought.

        the brunette’s arms tried to swing her firearm up to aim, but everything in her system protested.  it ended up being released entirely, clattering a foot or so away, and darkness overcame her vision.  she was floating, she was falling.  all her strength left her, and cat was tumbling.  victory, but unbelievable.  a near cost of the lives of those she cared for.  v i c t o r y.  but at what price?  copper dead, crackshot hurt, birdie fled…  was there anyone else?  what if there was?  they’d be coming shortly, they’d slaughter.  scott and amy and jon and casey and allen and laura-  stay awake.  it was too late.

                 she was crumpled.  arms were supporting her, the soft encouragement of the word in her ear.  steady.  slow breathing, she was on fire.  the oxygen fueled it.  fire fire fire, get up.  there’s more, there’s danger!  an attempt to push against and stand, but the arms held her.  eyelids fluttered, finally drawing in what was around her.  scott.  it was him holding her.  HIM.  head tried to tilt back… why did her whole body keep ignoring her?  thud thud heart pounding, can’t think, can’t stop, can’t stop.  copper was always there, was always going to hurt her.

      “i… can’t.  i need…”  where’d the gun go, where’d her weapon-

       finally, one arm managed to raise though like a half limp noodle.  hand meagerly pushed against the strength of his chest.  was he okay?  was everyone okay?  praying, hoping…  then his own heart felt a drum against her touch.  she stilled.  he was scared.  he was worried.  he was telling her to calm.  so breath was caught, snagged in her throat.  eased.  catch herself, catch the moment.  ground her.  it’s over, copper’s dead.  copper’s dead.  copper’s d e a d.

                 strength was a panful crawl of seeping back in to her, mind clearing, the panic passing.  ebbing away, letting her come back together.  she released everything stored in her lungs ( not having even been aware she was holding her breath ), the long exhale puffing her cheeks out before depths of green flickered back to the body.  so real, but fading.  the FLICKER of life and anger and rage and torment to him evaporated.  it was real, this was real.

Basic/Physical:

She's 28, at game start

Half Cuban, half white and has lived in a desert for most of her life so she has warm brown tanned skin. Warm yellow/brown eyes which can look piercingly through you or soft and understanding depending on her mood.

Her hair is a blue color with a tinge of green. It was supposed to be a forest green but her sister grabbed the wrong bottle of perma-dye when they broke into the local ripperdoc's clinic to dye their hair.

Her lips are also permanently colored. She likens it to war paint but she doesn't want the hassle of applying it/worrying about it rubbing off.

Ex-nomad, sleeps like the dead anywhere because she's used to having people around to watch her back

Her bones crack like fucking glow sticks.

-Johnny: how are your bones in worse condition than mine were?? I was in my 30s?

-Vic *just finger guns*

Vic sleeps like an idiot, all contorted and sideways

-Hiro tries to push her back into a normal situation so she doesn’t wake up with her back hurting more than usual.

Has a snake tattoo snaking around her chest for Viper, got it with funds from the first mission with Jackie. She also has a devils head and Chippin' In lyrics on her back from her teen years.

V really didnt want to admit to Johnny that she was a samurai fan so she goes out of her way to not look at her back while hes in her head. "Who? Is that some bushido reenactment shit?"

This goes well until Johnny has control of her body and goes to the bathroom to check on her ribs, thinking he broke them.

Pansexual.

She has a pair of mantis blades, which are basically a safety blanket for her, weapons that can't ever be taken away so she's never helpless. So when she's nervous/feeling helpless she runs her fingers over the seam of them.

They’re her weapon of last resort though so if you find her at home cleaning the blood off them, you know a mission went fucking sideways

They were her dad, Michael's, which he got from the army so they're military issue high end suckers. Also around 50 years old lmao.

They make Vik weep because finding replacement parts is impossible

V only smokes the occasional joint and gets drunk once in a blue moon. She's managed to avoid smoking completely and is pissed that Johnny tried to sabotage that.

Has a bullet wound scar on her thigh which is covered up with a simple black band tattoo. Her only other significant scars are some on her chest from a motorcycle crash as a 16 year old. She's always had decent access to a ripper doc so while she's been injured a lot, she doesn't have many scars

Personality:

V is a sweetheart. She honestly believes the best of everyone. She grew up in a nomad community where everyone worked together for the good of everyone, and kind of expects the same of everyone in night city.

She continues to trust people blindly, despite being burned a couple times. She has faith in herself to be able to fight her way out of a bad situation should she get backstabbed, so shed rather bet on people being generally good.

Life can be rough in the badlands. Resources are scarce. Vic learned how to conserve resources from a young age. Shes frugal with her money, hoards anything that might be useful, and is really into reusing/recycling things. Shes brought Hiro cyberware she pulled out of dead bodies and is generally handing with mechanical fixes.

This also applies to food. When youve had days were literally the only thing you had to eat that day were some dusty grasshoppers you managed to forage, your standards for food fall drastically.

This drives Hiro and Johnny nuts who often have to stop her from eating random/possibly poisoned food.

The fact that shes a blindly trusting person just amplifies this.

*V walking in with a plate of cookies*

"..whats that V?"

-Nv: "Oh hey, the neighbor gave me these cookies! Want some?"

*Johnny and Hiro who both know you shouldn't accept random food from strangers in Night City, immediately disposing of them.*

She's very secure in her sexuality, a naturally attractive and sexual person. Her clan had very little sexual stigma at all, its hard to have any shame over sex when there's only tents without soundproof walls. Her whole clan was definitely also very into free love/poly/open relationships, to the point were most kids didn't know who their parents were and were raised communally. Having sex was just a platonic thing that just sort of happened.

-Nv: “It’s hard to get all embarrassed about privacy when you grew up in a place with only tent walls. It’s just sex.

Shes used to having sex with her platonic friends, her first couple of one night stands in NC were just an absolute mess--then she tried to sleep with Jackie which went predictably well.

-NV: “...and?”

-Jackie: “I mean...I mean you never gave any signs?!

-NV: “Signs??”

-Jackie: “Hermana, most people in NC don’t just sleep with their friends. I mean. They do. But they don’t. It’s complicated.”

Considering that, V is. HORRID. at flirting in Night City. She's never really had to do that kind of verbal dance before and a lot of come on/innuendo goes over her head. She also has zero body shame and often walks around their apartment naked and will change nonchalantly in public.

-Nv: *Noticing people staring at her at the club and going into work mode*

-Hiro: *Noticing Nv counting the exits*

-Nv: "That man's staring at me. Maybe he's Arasaka."

Definitely has the occasional “why the fuck didn’t you just say so?!” moments with the boys

*Cue SKv trying to be seductive all day, dropping things and bending over to get them all slow, changing in the living room/working out shirtless, ect. Nv is appreciative but she doesn’t really do anything, and by the end of the day*

-SKv: “For the love of god JUST FUCK ME ALREADY”

-Nv: “What? Alright, geeze all you had to do was ask.”

As trusting as V is, she's an amazing soldier. Her ex military father has been training her to kill people and protect their clan since she was six. She killed her first human at 9 years old.

Due to this while she is a friendly, happy person when she's in a fight or during a mission, she becomes a cold and calculated person, all emotion wiping from her face. She makes quick, decisive decisions, cutting her enemies down at the knees before they have a chance to fight back.

She's a brutal shot with her sniper rifle, knows her way around precision rifle and is deadly with knives both as a close range and throwing weapon.

Vic has a tactical brain/training and is always planning. Its instinct by now. Planning the exits to a room, the quickest way to take down any possible assailants, an enemys open weak points. She takes pride in her skills as a soldier as she sees it as her way of protecting/providing for her family.

I've been enjoying Fortnite a lot more since the Chapter 2 updates, especially this winter's holiday fun. That made me wonder; is Save the World worth getting? It's on sale right now and looks fun, but I've only ever played Battle Royale. I'm sorry if this an unrelated ask for your blogs theme; you just seem like a good and friendly person to ask.

Don’t worry. Even if it’s not about gifs, I don’t mind answering questions about the games I play!

I personally think it is worth it. Not only is it fun, but you get to experience lore and meet many characters through the quest lines. It’s also cool to hear voice lines for Battle Royale skins like Calamity and Crackshot.

You also get Daily Rewards just for logging in.

The more you log in, the more rewards you get, including V-Bucks! You can use these for the Loot Llamas in Save the World or you can use them for items in Battle Royale. (I personally use them for Battle Royale.)

There are more ways to get V-Bucks: Daily Challenges, Storm Shield Defense Missions, and the occasional Mini-Boss Mission reward. You’ll absolutely be getting your money back in V-Bucks as long as you play. (I bought the Standard edition, so I definitely got my money back several times over.)

I will admit that the game can be a bit confusing, but there are tons of guides out there. I also don’t mind answering questions.

If you do decide to buy it, be sure to do it before the sale ends!

The latest Winterfest event in Fortnite starts on December 16, 2021. It will run for whole 21 days until January 6 of 2022. Every holiday season, Fortnite Santa treats the players of the game with brand new free skin you can easily grab from the Item Store. The Winterfest Lodge is Opening Again!

Sergeant Winters got the keys to the Winterfest Lodge from Crackshot and he is opening the Lodge to give out gifts to the Fortnite players who are there to enjoy the holiday season. You can unwrap 14 presents in the Lodge by logging into the game daily. Two outfits, two wraps, two pickaxes, a contrail, a glider, lobby track, emote, spray, emoticon, banner, and a loading screen. You can enter the Lodge by clicking on the Snowflake on the Lobby Screen just like last year.

Don’t worry if you miss any days; just log in any time before January 6, 2022, and unwrap your gifts.

The Winterfest 2021 Challenges

There are also some quests, Sergeant Winters wants you to complete, and in return, he will be giving away some good rewards which will be very good to add to your collection. A new quest will be added each coming y. If you manage to complete seven quests, you will get the Snowmando Glider in return which will be coming with two variants. If you complete the ten quests, you will be getting the Frosty back bling. These quests will not be that hard as they are the challenges in a gifting season, so we think it’s easy to get all the rewards before the event ends on January 6, 2022.

If you are a subscriber of the Crew membership, you will be rewarded with a special variant of the Snowmando glider, which is based on, well, you can see for yourself.

Play for at least two hours in the creative mode, and you will be rewarded with a new emoticon, a spray, and two banners for your profile icon. You will get to play in some of the best maps created by different people in the creative mode.
