Wrote about a really fascinating H-game on eggbug site.
(because links are weird here I'll add more detail but the full thing is there if you wanna read more)
It's called The Scarlet Demonslayer and it's the result of a true galaxy brain move by dev Nuko Majin, who looked at the popular "Kukkoro" hentai subgenre (i.e. "fallen heroine" scenario) and said:
"what if you tried to make a game in a genre that's about breaking heroines star a heroine that is -completely unbreakable-?
As in, not just 'able to endure', but -literally incapable of being harmed or coerced in any way- (because she's level 999). what'd that be like?"
Yeah, it's pretty cool.

More or less completed the Dark Knight glam I've had in my head since I started FFXIV a little before Shadowbringers dropped. Saw someone post Cronus Lux, then I went though the Dark Knight job quests and discovered the glory of Ishgardian Pauldroncoats (specifically, Fray's getup). I set about putting together one, and this is pretty close to what I had in mind.
The only downside is that there's a mismatch in the gold trim on the Facet pieces and the more "brass"-colored parts of the Pauldroncoat. If I'm lucky Yoshi-P will decide more Heavensward sets are worth "remastering" for inclusion in the PVP reward listings, and put my coat in there.

New Dancer glam. I found a pair of sneakers that finally completed the look, and I think it turned out well.
Glam recipe is here.
The idea behind it was imagining what Ishgardian Dancers were like, if Ishgard was enough of a Society that it could produce a straight-up gang hat like the "High House Cloche". Dancers in Ishgard were probably street toughs like Hilda who prior to Shadowbringers adding DNC would probably class in Rogue.
Anyway, I think it turned out well, especially by the natural bisexual lighting found in Eulmore's Beehive lounge. I especially like the stitch pattern that carries in the Sky Pirate's Aiming vest onto the Demon Breeches of Aiming.

I was thinking about the Akiba's Trip anime again and one of the reasons it was good is that it came out so long after the games that it didn't matter that they completely ignored them outside of the common title and basic premise. They mostly focused on weird asides about otaku culture and Akiba tourism promotion
I do have a soft spot for the games, but it's better this way, because the games' aren't very good. Like all the bad parts of Way of the Samurai without the positives that would've offset them from being set in and around Akiba.
I still want to visit some of the restaurants from episode 10.
